Ruby’s neurosurgeon just came out and said that he had begun the surgery and found that the probe to be used in the surgery was contaminated. He stopped the surgery and ordered a new one. There was none in the entire hospital. So someone has driven to St. Joseph’s Hospital  to bring back a brand…

Morning Update

The neurosurgeon has been in.  The tests confirm that there is a problem.   More extensive tests now. She just had fluid drawn off her shunt and that will be checked.   They also shot dye in and will be going for a CT scan soon so they can see if all the cysts fenestrated…

Admitted to ICU

Lots of tests.  Admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.   Ruby’s in the room right next door to where  she was for almost three weeks. Nurses and doctors who saw us, threw up their hands  and shrugged as if to say, “Oh no!  You’re back!”  Everyone who knew her from her last visit loves her….

ER – Please pray!

Ruby is not herself.  I emailed her neurosurgeon to ask about her symptoms.  He emailed me right back.  So we are at Phoenix Children’s waiting for Ruby to be examined.  This could be a false alarm,  but it could be a problem with her shunt. I admit I’m scared.   Please, would you pray? This…
