Linn in Amsterdan

Linn just skyped in she’s in Amsterdam. She let me know that they almost did not let her leave Uganda. She will write more later, but she can’t even think right now, she’s emotionally and physcially spent. They wanted papers – they were in the suitcase. they had her crawl over the bags behind the counter to find the papers. Then go upstairs, leave the kids behind, then to through customs – the guy wasn’t going to let her in – she said then stop the plane to get my bags. By now she said she’s bawling, maybe my timing on the last blog wasn’t so good! S

So much more, but the good news is she made the plane – last one or next to last on the plane i think. She will write the full story when she gets home. I don’t think she has any energy left so we will continue to fight on our knees until she arives through the clouds to home tomorrow night. She will be home in a little over 20 hours Lord willing. Thanks for you continued prayers. dw

PS: If you can’t stand typo’s please skip my journaling as im too tired to even think much less spell! Good night to all! dw

  1. Praying Linn and the kids safely home to your mountain cabin.

    Isaiah 40:29 – 31

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

    In Christ,
    Janet and Kevin

  7. I am praying for your family today! Been following the past week or so, new to your blog! What an amazing testimony! This will be a truly sweet day for your family!!!

  8. I would love to be a fly on the wall in your home tonight as your family is united, reunited. After these past weeks…different journeys, but faith journeys nonetheless, I’m realizing once again that without the depths of the trials, without the bottoms, we wouldn’t realize the glory of the highs, the glory of fulfilled promises, of answered prayer. Tonight, you will be in each other’s arms AT HOME with MOST of your children…safe, warm, loved…AT HOME!!

We love you, our friends…oh, so much!

  9. I think I can I think I can I think I can!!! I did!!!!!

Can’t wait to see the post of all of you at home!!!!

Can’t wait for life to settle down so we can talk even if we are multitasking! 🙂

  10. Ok, you two love birds finally being reunited in your cozy little cabin….Linn, your gonna end up pregnant! 😉 Impossible? Right. Nothing will surprise me with you two, especially the impossible!!

  11. I don't even know you, and yet I am literally on the edge of my seat waiting for them to get home! What an amazing journey! Your trip to China for Jubilee (soon, soon, we pray!) will be like a vacation compared to this adventure. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. Can't wait to see pics of everyone HOME, safe and sound and ready for the best Christmas ever.

PS: There's a site called something like "blog to book" (never used it) but you can basically turn your blog entries and photos into a printed book very easily … might be a great keepsake for E & E when they are older. By then, of course, they will already know what an amazing family they are blessed with!

    All the best,
