Linny checks in via email and copy!!

Sweet, sweet Praying and Faithful Friends,
My computer is not loading and so I am unable to write (YET!) on the blog!! I am so glad that Dw has been filling in – we make a grand team – I think, don’t you?

So I just woke up from a long afternoon snooze – I was achy and exhausted and needed some shut-eye. Emma is the last one who wants to sleep BUT I woke up to find her beside me asleep as well. We are sharing a true twin bed…Graham gets the other one. Only two pillows, so we told Gray-Gray, you get your own bed, we get the two pillows. He protested for a moment until we said, “Okay, you can have your own pillows, but you will have to sleep on the twin with mom.” LOL Amazing how that works……

I will write more when I can post the pictures, but yes, as I walked up to the orphanage door I looked thru the glass and there was a little precious boy running (kind of) to the door, beaming from ear to ear. I turned to Emma and said, “Isn’t that Elijah?” She looked, as she had not seen him yet, and said, “YES!” He lifted his arms to me and my tears were coming – He lifted his arms before he had even reached me….I knew God had been showing us to him in his dreams and the look on his face said, “Ahhhh, here you are – FINALLY!” My heart was leaping.

Emma went to find Elizabeth and she was came right to us. She recognized Emma. She started jumping up and down. The workers said Elizabeth must know that Elijah is her little brother because she has become very watchful of him. If they are handing out crackers she immediately checks to see that Elijah gets one.

The workers were thrilled we were there, jumping up and down and thrilled…saying, “Oh praise the Lord you are here”…the women who went to the director the day that Elizabeth was supposed to go to the Big Orphanage…she was wild with excitement….she said, “Look what God did when she was sick – just look!!”

More later…they are both snuggly and almost in a daze at all that is going on around…..when out with us they have been clutching…the sights and sounds are crazy here….and overwhelming I am sure – and even more so if you have never been outside your orphanage gates…

Oh! Almost forgot….the rooms are filled with babies needing homes, some little, some bigger…all precious in God’s eyes…
Think about going to Africa with Dw in June…….you might just come home with the paperwork started….=) Do it! Do it! Do it!

Anyway, I must go see my precious babies…

I can’t wait to tell you the rest….I am elated and thrilled and giddy…my face will probably freeze in a smile!!

Tomorrow’s court, the Judge told me what to expect and what I will need to be ready to say when she asks me things…The judge is a woman…I kept feeling the Lord saying it was a “she”….so pray her heart is soft and she is moved to rule quickly and that we have MUCH favor!! Much love to all of you – from Uganda – where the happiest mommy in the world is rejoicing at God’s precious promises continually revealed – OH YIPPEE JESUS!!

  1. Hi Miss Linn, I have been a faithful “lurker” on your blog for weeks! I just posted a comment on an earlier Uganda blog, but I want to make sure you get it, so I’m posting again on this most recent one. Praise the Lord for His answered prayers; He very specifically brought you guys to mind last night (Tues.) at 10:45 pm, to pray for you guys and over you guys, and I am so excited to hear all your accounts of answered prayers while there! I have such a heart for adoption, and the more I read your blog, the more I long to rescue a little one, or ones. I’ve been so blessed by you, thank you.

  2. Glad your all there safe. I will continue to pray for you daily. God is amazing in his workings and teachings. Elijah and Elizabeth knew you were coming. Try to get a little rest.

  4. This is such an amazing story… It just takes my breath away! You two do make a great team! I’m loving hearing from ‘dad’ also…what a sweet and tender heart!

What a beautiful picture of your sweet little one running to you with his arms up, waiting to be held!

Praying for the judge whose heart is in the Lord’s hand, trusting that He will direct it according to His perfect plan (Proverbs 21:1).

    Hugs…

  5. Oh Linn,

Soooo good to hear your bloggy voice! DW, you rock too….giving us those late night updates! Linn, praying for all of you day and night. What an honor to be part of your journey, can’t wait to hear the rest!

  6. Yay Linn and Dw!!! I was just brimming with tears reading this post to Pete. God is so good and so faithful. I poked P in the side when I got to the judge part being a woman. I said, “She knew it was a woman! We’ve been praying for her, Linn knew it was a woman!” I can’t wait to get up in teh middle of the night to pray and then I can’t wait to hear how it goes. Thanks for keeping us all “posted”. Lots of love to you and your growing family. XXXXXXXXXX (one for each of you!)
