One More Time Lord

Up – On It – Checking Fed Ex. – Checking Flights for me to Uganda. And a blog alert – Shot in the Dark – Anyone know anyone flying to Uganda this weekend? I will personally fly to meet them and give them a very important package. Pray for a miracle, “One More Time Lord.” dw

  1. Dwight & Linn – our family's prayer for you this morning:
"We pray that you'll have the strength to stick it out over the long haul—not the grim strength of gritting your teeth but the glory-strength God gives. It is strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into joy, thanking the Father who makes us strong enough to take part in everything bright and beautiful that he has for us." Col 1:10-12 (Msg)

Daddy has already smoothed the way in so many areas for this adoption – He CAN & WILL take care of this! This bump, too, is bright and beautiful, because it is another part of the journey. Know that we are still praying!

  2. Not sure if this helps, but I help a missionary in Uganda who is home right now … she doesn’t know anyone flying out to Uganda, but said if you want to send her she would take the papers for you …

  3. Maybe it was GOd’s plan along that DW goes to bring home the babies too!!!!

Wouldn’t it be nice to have an extra arm :0 to hold a baby or a hand to hold yours on the flight home?

    Just wanting you home!!!

  4. Almost thought I had something for you….one of Joe’s connections is heading to Uganda TODAY. Unfortunately, they are already on their way, with no chance in catching them..so… instead I keep praying, praying, and then more praying. This too will be interesting to see how it all plays out. Let me know if I can do anything from here, like go to Durango if DW needs to head over there, or whatever…wish I had my passport – I’d bring the papers to you and check out those babies first hand!

  5. DW & Linn –
I'm delurking in DC after following your journey and praying for you for months. I've had a nagging feeling all day that there is something I could do to help (who? you mean me, God?).
But Gracious God just revealed to me that one of my associates is leaving TOMORROW for UGANDA for vacation. She arrives in Entebbe on SUNDAY! I talked to her about your situation and she's totally willing to carry the documents you need to get to Uganda.
As Linn would say — yippee Jesus!

  7. Dwight and Linn,

I have just found your blog (well actually I found it over 2 hours ago and have been totally absorbed in your story and read from beginning of Linn’s trip to this post). I arrived here after Tina at One Blessed Nest stated that you needed prayer. I put my children to bed and was prepared to watch a chick flick as dear hubby was headed to a movie tonight while I stayed home with the kids. This reading was much more fulfilling than the movie rented. I am amazed at your journey and your spirits. I am praying that you find a courier to bring those papers to Uganda. That precious package has to get there soon. Elijah and Elizabeth are beautiful as is your whole family. I am touched by your story and commited to follow. You are all in my thoughts and prayers! Margaret

  8. Linny,
Thank you for your nice comment on my blog! YOU have a beautiful family! Incredible! Inspiring! I will be praying for the God to clear the path for you to bring home your precious babies! I will say to the mountain, “move!” and it will be moved!
    Hugs,
    ellie
