Thank you Friends

I asked for prayer for our son the other day. He is currently depl*yed. There are times that I am unable to be open and blog freely (with a public blog) about different aspects of our lives and his job is one of those places. We do understand that although “no news is good news” there were things that we were made aware of the last time we got an email from him which led us to pray passionately. Days passed and we heard nothing. This definitely caused us to grow concerned and so much so that I asked for prayer for him. Thank you for praying. There are many things about what he does that we are not able to divulge, but his current situation makes us stay on our knees. And I guess for the time being, whatever I say, you will just have to read between the lines and ask the Holy Spirit for discernment.

Anyway, all that to say that we heard from him via the web and he said that he is safe and all is well. Thank you for your prayers – we know that they were timely and significant. We love you guys! xo

  1. Linn, I have a cousin in the special forces. He has done this job for 20+ years. Although his deployments are less frequent now, they are still top secret. It has been really hard for the family all these years. My prayers are with you and Ty, that he will be able to contact you more often and to always be safe with Gods arms around him.

  2. I will continue to pray for your Tyler, I have helt the heartache of unknown in deployment and pray for all those in your situation. May God bless you and your family and hold Tyler in His arms until you can hold him in yours (and well even when he is in your arms, Our Heavenly Father will have you both in His arms, but you know what I mean :))

  3. As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country. Proverbs 25:25

Thank you Lord for word from Ty, that he is safe and all is well!

I’m with Jaime, when you are a military mama, or wife (or both) no news is exactly that, no news. Thank you Lord for news!

    Love you Linn! Praying . . .

Thank you for letting us know.

Hope you’re having the best time with your precious daughter.

  5. Praise God! I’ll pray for him each time God brings him to mind. Please tell him thank you for me. And thank you too :0)The sacrifices you ALL make for our country are appreciated beyond words!

  6. This is such happy news, Linn! Tina is right…”Like cold water to a weary soul…” We can only imagine what it must be like for you military families…and keep praying, which we will do here heartily!

  7. Praise God!! I’m thrilled that you heard from Tyler and that he is fine! Such awesome news! Continuing to pray, pray, pray….

    Love you guys!

  8. So glad that you heard from Ty and that he is safe. As a military wife for 17 years I know it always feels better to hear something even if it is just a quick note stating that I’m okay.

    Hugs,

Our Heavenly Father is so very good!

So thankful that He has Ty in the palm of His hand and that He is willing to bear all our worries and cares no matter how far our children are from us.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful news!

  10. PRAISE GOD! I am so glad to hear that you have heard from him. I know the anxiety of that wait and the places that our minds can go. we will continue to lift up Tyler through his deployment.
