Where to begin??
I’m grateful for mountain rams – we saw probably close to 2 dozen as we drove to Greeley on Tuesday. They made me giggle as they lay on a ledge, legs gangling down, leisurely overlooking the road below, watching two of their buddies running lickedity-split down the road in front of a semi. They could have been munching on popcorn for how comfortable and “people-like” they looked. But due to the grief I got about taking pictures as I drove from Albuquerque, I did not take any pictures….*sniffle*….but they are forever etched in my mind. They were hysterical. Here’s a picture though, for those who haven’t had the privilege of seeing wild mountain rams up close.
I am grateful for eyelashes. Just imagine all the junk that would get in our eyes without them. What a wonderful idea the Lord had!!
I am grateful for worship songs. They often make me bawl in worship to the God of the Universe and they always bring such healing.
I am grateful that at this moment in history International Adoption is freely allowed in the United States of America. 
I am grateful for friends who, led by the Lord, encourage/listen/love you at just the right moment. You know who you are….thank you for the phone call this AM, and thank you for listening. xo
I am grateful for all those doing Thankful Thursday. Even my Emma joined in this morning on her blog: EmOnAMission. She leaves in 13 days with daddy, Graham and a total team of 19 for Africa. Our oldest daughter Abi and our son-in-love Ryan are even going!!! The team also includes 5 bloggy friends. (One from Canada, one from California, two from the Denver area and one from Texas. And yes, I am tickled that they will get to meet some of my precious family!!)
I am grateful for our small group that meets tonight. On Thursday evenings about 16 adults (plus kids) gather in our home to eat together, study together and pray together. They are such a blessing to us.
I am grateful that Autumn (who made the Greeley trip with me this week) spotted the animal in the road as we drove home. I was exhausted, it was about midnight and hadn’t seen it to my left side. When I saw it, it didn’t look like an elk or deer. I mentioned it to someone who lives in that area and they said there are some moose there. Having looked again at the moose picture below, that would be my best guess. Either way, I’m thankful I didn’t hit it.
I am really, really grateful for those who have taken the challenge and have fasted after my post about fasting. You know who you are, and I am so proud of you and so thrilled with what God did after you were obedient. He alone is worthy of all praise!!
I also spotted something on the right shoulder, right after passing the moose (or whatever it was)….Autumn was able to turn and saw – it was a bear!! I am thankful I didn’t hit that either!!
I am grateful for each of you, my sweet bloggy friends. Your encouragement means more than you could ever even begin to imagine. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
And on a totally different note: We have a bit of news on the house, but I will save that for another post very soon, maybe later today. Yeah, I know, how could I be so cruel?
Abi and Ryan are going??? Does that mean they are going to fall in love with an African beaty and bring home African granbabies for you?
Wow, what cool animals to see on the road. I’m really glad you didn’t hit the moose. I have hit a dear and well I would hate to see the damage a moose could do.
I’m thinking more and more we need a road trip to Colorado. Here you see cows and pigs maybe a dear or wild turkey once in awhile.

Can’t wait to hear…and glad for your traveling safety! I always pray “Lord, keep everybody on their side, and me on mine!” Guess I’d better include “and everything in their own place!” 🙂

Soooo glad you didn’t hit any animals and wow…did you ever see a LOT of them! 🙂 I’ve seen those goofy rams in CO. We saw a moose once…it was ambling right toward our car. My husband was holding the camera and kept waiting for it to get closer. Just as he snapped the shutter, it turned and we have a really nice shot of its behind! sigh….
O Linn this just about leaves me in tears over leaving Colorado. I loved the wildlife. Always wanted to see a bear (far away from my house) but never did. I’m so glad you have this blog; it does wonders for my soul.

Looking at all the pictures of the wild life that you listed, that you either saw or almost saw, I have to say that the only one I’ve ever seen in real life(other than at the zoo, and I dont think that really counts, cuz its not the wild) Is the eyeball. I see those all the time! hee, hee. Glad your trip went well and the Lord kept you all safe.

I LOVE that you see all those wild animals! How intense! I’d flip out, pull the car over, and snap tons of pictures! I’m a geek like that. Well, especially because Sarah told you what types of “wildlife” we see here!

I love this post. I think that the horns of a ram are just unbelievable…only God. If you ever get a chance hop over to my blog and go down several posts to see the clip I did of the youth at our church who did a 30 Hour Famine for World Vision. Our daughter Astrud is so passionate about world hunger. We slept in cardboard boxes outside . The hearts of these kids are amazing to me. Have a great weekend.

OK, were you driving on an actual road or just randomly through the woods? This post has me laughing out loud as I imagine you crossing paths with all that wildlife! Clearly I grew up in a city and only saw such wildlife in zoos. Hehehe!!
