Home!! And an Unbelievable “Something”

We are home!! Our rental never looked so good!! What a trip….I have a feeling that in a few weeks I will wake up and say, “Wow, did that really happen??” Then I’ll shudder and remember…

I do have to tell you….I have a feelin’ that some of you were praying that angels would minister to my sweet husband as he slept….When I got up this AM he said all night long he dreamed that these ladies were taking care of him….I asked him if there was peace as they took care of him and he said there was….and I said, “I wonder if it was ministering angels…” and he said he was thinking the same thing!! So if you prayed it – they showed up!!!

The last leg was long and by about 100 miles out I was more than ready to be home. Enough already!! We stopped in Pagosa Springs for a quick tour of my favorite antique shop. As you know, I have been praying and hunting for a Memorial Box – and as the Lord would have it I didn’t find one in that shop – I found TWO!! Yippee Jesus!!
The kids were so excited to see us. Elizabeth said, “Mom, you are my best friend!” That sure tickled me. She had told me on the phone while I was gone that Emma was her best friend….so I have a sneakin’ feelin’ that Emmy had been working on her to say it to me, but I didn’t ask and so as far as I’m concerned, ‘she’s my best friend’ and we’re stickin’ to it!!

Elijah just grinned when he saw us. He looked a little timid when he saw how sick daddy was…and they both screamed like naked ladies when Graham was going to help me dress them after their bath….they both wanted only me. Could be a long few days.

Lastly, okay, for real….we had the most unbelievable phone call just about 45 minutes before we reached home. You are not gonna’ stinkin’ believe it!!

Now here’s the deal…I just was 1250 miles from home with a husband in the hospital and a little guy who had surgery at the same hospital….both admitted at the same time for a tad….then I just drove (by myself) 1246 miles with the same very, very sick husband and a little boy who just had surgery on both legs…so I’m going to make you wait to hear what that phone call was about. Trust me. It was like none other…….and NO you are not gonna’ believe it……but you’re gonna’ have to wait till sometime tomorrow for me to tell you. And with all that I’ve been thru this week…I’m feelin’ that I can do whatever I want….And if that bugs you….Go ahead sue me. *giggle*
PS Keep praying for Dw….new symptoms have appeared…have a text into our nurse friend …and I may be heading to the ER with him….please don’t stop praying….

  2. You are too funny–and you're right–I think you absolutely have earned the right to do whatever the heck you please 🙂

Can't wait to hear though 😉

  3. I have been coming to your site for about 2 weeks. Just long enough really to catch up before all the madness that is current for you started to take place. I have been praying. You are a constant on my heart. Thank you for showing the world that there is hope, and joy, and peace in the waiting for the Lord in all things, both good and bad. I am so glad you are home. I know that there is nothing like 'home' even if it's not your house. 😉 Hoping Dw is better really really soon! Can't wait to hear the phone call, hoping for Jubilee! 🙂

  4. Linny, you must tell us soon!! You know..the phone call?! Let me guess..you got a call from Home Makeover OR maybe you have TA for Jubilee OR maybe Autumn is all better. You must tell. I'm so glad you all are home…and praying DW can feel better soon. Little Isaiah is way too cute with his little hand braces on. Blesss his heart. What a blessing that you met this doctor. I will soon share on my blog about our trip to Shriners Hospital for Benjamin. 🙂 Hugs, my friend.

  5. Oh you stinker! I am totally excited to find out what your phone call was about.

Is EHM coming to your town???? 🙂

I love that the kiddos were so happy to have you back.

Welcome home – you can stay for awhile, eh? 🙂

  6. I'm awake into the early hours of the morning having been working on computer issues. Before retiring for the evening (morning) I was led to check a couple of blogs to see how I may pray.

God knows what you are dealing with this very moment, and He is watching over you and guiding you. I pray that you are able to get some rest and that tomorrow will be a day of encouragement and renewed strength and health.

  7. So glad you are home safe. I did a lot of driving when my husband was here and fighting cancer. It's exhasting and emotional all in one.
We have not stopped praying for Dwight or Isaiah's healing. May God bless you all with a good nights sleep.

  11. What in the world is wrong with you, woman! After all we've been through with you in the last week…and you are making us WAIT for good news? That is just cruel and unusual punishment.

You should work for a marketing company. You really know how to hook and lure people! Heehee.

  12. I guess I have to forgive your twisted mind, probably lack of sleep or something…Maybe we need to have a day of prayer for you too!
Will be praying all day…at LEAST keep us updated on DW.

  13. Linny,
You have earned the right to tease us with your fabulous news!
Still praying and praising God for answering because HE IS!

  19. I am praying that Dw feels better after the trip to ER. What a journey you have been on since the first of the year! Just one thing after the other. It has to turn around, and turn around soon, for you. I am praying steadily for you, Dw and the rest of your family!

  20. a quickie to let you know we haven't stopped praying! Our children are now involved praying for your family and Dw. Wish you could be a fly on the wall at bedtime around our little prayer circle on our son's bed.

  21. So glad you are all home again. Please, please, please – let us know if there is ANYTHING we can do. We will, of course, continue praying. Love you all!

  22. awww, i'm so sorry that y'all are back in the hospital. i'm praying for a quick turnaround for dw. i'm so excited about your memory box. i entered that giveaway a long time ago and hope hope HOPE i get to win!
i consider it PURE JOY to pray for you and know that the Lord is doing amazing things in and through you.
and i absolutely CANNOTWAITONEMOREMINUTE about the phone call. i'm waiting. . .
while i wait, i think i'll pray for y'all some more, too.
    blessings to you!

  23. Oh no! Praying here for your precious husband! You continue to amaze me! I cannot imagine having to face all that you have in the last year. Satan is surely threatened by your family, and the Lord has recieved much glory from your faith and perseverence.

Can't wait to see what the exciting news is….. don't torture us too long!

  24. You are quite the tease! Reminds me of those old suspense shows with the ending of, "stay tuned next week for the exciting conclusion…!"

I have had Dw in my prayers often, although I confess I did not specifically pray for ministering angels. I have been horrified with the awfulness of his hepatitis. One of my children has hep-B, but we have never had a flare-up, and honestly, I am very naive about all of the complications. You guys will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers often. Blessings!

    ~Linda from Northern Colorado

  25. I just wanted to mention that I love coming to your blog…your spirit is so refreshing and even though you are going through deep valley's right now, you show me every day through your trials that God is real in your life and your trust and faith in Him blows me away. You and your family have blessed me so much. We continue to pray for complete healing for DW.
