If You are Wondering How My Hubby is….and A Little Note on Jubilee

You guys would be so proud of Dw!! He is continuing to eat and drink and is awake and alert most of the time! He was even making a few jokes today – such a sign of his improvement! I confess I have been missing my husband. He was gone to Africa and then came home sick and I have not had his normal self – and I sure have missed him….to you who know him – he is a fun-lovin’, God-fearin’ man!! His coloring is a bit better (yippee Jesus!)….although his whites still are gold, but coloring overall is much better. Please don’t stop praying for him!!
On a different note: today I was on a conference call for the travel group that we are supposed to go to C*n*a with. After 2.5 hours on the call, I learned that there have been yet some more changes with Hag*e that are potentially really messing things up for our sweet Jubilee coming home. (ie….Like having to refile the entire immigration process because we had a house fire and are living in a rental?? Just for starters!) I sat and bawled for about an hour – we have been in the process of adopting Jubilee for almost 18 months now….for a special needs adoption from Ch*na that is almost unheard of!!
You guys are some of the greatest prayer warriors in the entire world and I ask that you pray with us that Almighty God would move so that we can go asap without needing a whole new Immigr*tion approval. Currently they are saying that the earliest Emma and I could go would be October 29th (and that would be without refiling – who knows when it would be if we had to refile). But we have a gigantic God who is bigger than any government, rules or new regulations. Please join us in praying…..

  1. God is AWESOME and know that we pray for you all on a daily basis. Satan can't stand all the prayers over your family and we like it that way. He has picked on the wrong family let me tell you. So glad to hear that DW is eating, drinking, and improving with strength and laughter. We continue to pray for complete healing and for Jubilee's homecoming to arrive with no more excuses or delays. (Remember what he told you the day of the fire he is working behind the scenes) God will make it all possible for there is nothing that is impossible! We love you guys tell DW we will send some chocolate chip cookies his way soon.

  2. Good news and bad news!! But God is in charge of ALL the news. We will keep praying! And I am wondering why it is taking so long for you guys to be able to travel. We are waiting for our LOA, but we keep being told that it probably won't be more than 3 months total from LOI til we travel, putting us in September, or maybe October. I will try to email you, but I understand if you are too swamped to respond.

    Prayers and hugs,
    the Gilliams : )

  3. oh! and i'm just SO glad to heart that your husband is doing better! i've found myself this past weekend wondering about him throughout the day, praying that he would be healed.
We serve an amazinggg GOD, do we not??!!!

  4. I am praying for Pastor Dwight. I can't say how much I enjoyed him being my pastor/leader/protector/"dad" on the trip to Uganda. I am forever grateful for him. And absolutely love him! Praying for his complete healing.

Praying for amazing things to happen with y'alls adoption of Jubilee!! I know our God is big enough to send y'all there NEXT MONTH! 🙂

    Love y'all!
    Lexie

  5. this is such inspiring and awesome news about Dw! God is seriously just working miracle after miracle for him 🙂
If God can do one thing, He can certainly do another! Praying for Jubliee ….cant wait to see how God works in this one 🙂

  6. Praying with you dear one. No weapon formed against you will prosper, even if it's a weapon of paperwork. God is El Shadai, the Almighty God! With Him all things are possible.

    Hugs from Costa Rica,
    Sarah Dawn

  7. I have lurked forever, but today I wanted to comment. I used AHH too, and the travel coordinator is very conservative in his travel estimations. He doesn't want to tell you that you will get to travel on x date and then it fall through. He did that with us anyway. He told us "hopefully September, probably November". (Long story.) We ended up traveling in October. So maybe/hopefully he is being conservative, but you will get to travel sooner than you think? Before I even knew about your family, I used to pray for Jubilee, and I will continue to pray that she can come home as soon as possible. Blessing to you & your family!

  8. Linn,

I'm sorry to hear that things are slowed with Jubilee's adoption. I'll continue to pray. Please remember the last few months and how God has come through in the darkest times in such a big way!

  9. Oh Linny… so glad to hear DW is feeling better and even cracking jokes.

And I felt your sorrow over the phone call about Jubilee… but was immediately drawn to remember that God's timing is perfect. Even when it seems so contrary to what would be best for us and our loved ones.

You may remember, my little boy waking up with a cough one morning. And my sister staying home with him (for the first time ever leaving him with her)… a few hours later I was in a terrible car accident that destroyed the front and side of the car his carseat was smashed into.

That's my reminder when I need patience. How God uses whatever He needs to – to bring about the perfect timing. Maybe someone else is supposed to go with you. Maybe another family needs to connect with you before you go. Maybe another child is being prepared for their new home – and your timing would make the difference.

Much love – and continuing to pray for healing, and unexpected blessings.

  10. Oh Linn, I know how hard this must be. I get so sad sometimes knowing who Noah is and that he is still in the orphanage and doesn't even know about us yet. I am surviving by knowing that God loves him more than I could ever imagine and will place him in my arms on His time-line. I believe the same is true for your precious Jubilee. I will be praying that this will not hold things us for your travel. We all need to be praying about the changes the state department and CDC has made with the TB testing and that none of us will have to be in China for 6 months. I believe this is Satan's ploy to detain the orphan in bondage. I pray against this in Jesus's Holy name!

Blessings, and still praying for DW,
    Julie

  11. Linny,

I am sending a HUGE hug your way!
And wanted to let you know that we are praying, praying, praying for Dw to continue healing, and for you and Emma to get to Ch*ina very soon with no refiling.
    Keep us in the know.
    Love,
    Alycia

  12. Such great news to hear that Dwight is feeling better & it sounds like he's on the mend! Yeah God!!

I'm praying for your journey to Jubilee Promise!!

    Love you guys!

  13. We are praying in Mn for you to get to your little Jubilee ASAP!

You still have your same address- where you are right now is only temporary. Sometimes don't you just wish they would find something else to do and leave us to go get our children- okay sorry for that but I can't help it.

Hubby Jim asks me everyday "How is my buddy Dw doing?" I will be happy to report to him that he is trying his hardest to eat and drink! We will most definitely continue praying for him!! AND for your TA to come asap! Let's get you and Emma Joy to China!! (Love the name!)

    God's Blessings to all!
    Jean

  14. First of all, I have to say, "Yippee Jesus" for the picture of Dw, SMILING! Oh how good it is to see his sweet face. So happy to hear that his coloring is getting better, and that he is continuing to eat and drink. We are so proud of you Dwight for fighting the good fight! We won't stop praying!

Praying for Jubilee's homecoming–that there would be NO further delays. Lord please bring this sweet baby girl home to her family soon. She has waited so long. Keep her in Your precious care Lord, until her mama can go and scoop her up. Be with Linny, Lord, as she waits–fill the ache in her heart. In Jesus name, Amen!

    Love you sweet friend~

    Tina

  15. Oh Linny…I can't decide whether to jump for joy that DW is feeling better or cry with you about the immigration mess.

I am also in the process of adopting from China…my first child. Her name is Emma…isn't that a GREAT name? I am single…can't get a date to save my soul. Know any good Christian men with teeth?? It's been 29.5 months since I was logged in…I had to wait a year for a single's spot…I started 4 years ago. 4 years…unbelievable, but I can see God's timing…I know it will be perfect, but I admit there are times when I question it! It frustrates me though to think of all the babies needing a momma to hold them…and here we are ready…waiting…wanting so much to do and be the very things they need…but here we wait…and fill out papers in triplicate and get refingerprinted every 18 months because you know fingerprints change in such a short time span…and wait…

yet, God, in His Miracle-working, Mountain-moving, Awe-inspiring, Gasp-giving ways is orchestrating it all. Oh Lord, help us both to remember that as we wait!

Blessings to you, dear friend…on my knees for your family!
    Angie

  16. Oh Linny, praying that Dw will go from strength to strength. Praise God he is feeling a little better. That is wonderful news.

Okay, friend, standing with you and praying Jubilee home. Enough now!!! Seriously, this is ridiculous–I have never known a SN adoption to take so long. Time for the enemy to move on over because the Almighty is about to shake things up a little. I know it. Time for me to fast and pray tommrrow—I'll do it!

  17. I am so glad DW is drinking and even eating that's wonderful.Keep it up!
On the other hand I am so sorry about the idea of another delay in getting youur sweet Jubilee home. Will be praying for it to all fall into place so she can come home to her family soon.

  18. That is utterly ridiculous!!! At the very most, I would think you would need an addendum to your homestudy. Yes, your house burned down but it is being rebuilt–you have a nice rental. What is the difference between this and having a move in the middle of an adoption process? I will be praying!!

  19. Count me in. I've been praying and found myself praying last night for "Whitey" and then changed that to Dwight and laughed at myself.
I can't wait to see Jubilee home where she belongs and we know the ONE Who can make it happen sooner rather than later!!

  20. At the Pastors and Leaders prayer this morning one of the groups prayed for Dwight. It's awesome to see the response from the spiritual leaders in the community toward Dw.

  21. I have been praying and praying. We are in need of the same prayer, we have a situation similar, praying that ours works out too, and not a lot more time and money is spent to get to our boy.
    Hugs,
    Sherrie

  22. Always praying for you guys! I wonder if it would help to contact EHM to see if this glitch would help them decide in your favor. I am sure once China knows a new home is certain, things will be rushed right through and EHM would have been a part of it..which we all know would help the show in the long run.

    Lori L.

  23. I will be praying! I can't believe how long the process has taken. Maybe we will be able to meet in C*n*a! My blog is private, but if you would like an invite I would love to invite you.
