Our Neck of the Woods…..

I took some pictures this past week. Since we all live in different parts of the world, I think it’s really kind of fun to see what’s goin’ on in your neighborhood too. So all week long I have snapped some pictures….

This is the view from our dining area. The sun was setting and it was so beautiful as I went out on the back patio and snapped away.

The other morning as I was returning from praying with my prayer partner the clouds were really low. My cell couldn’t really get this very well and I realize it’s kind of dark, BUT it was gorgeous….I felt like I was about to drive right into the cloud as I came up toward the sub-division where our rental is.

Then Dw & I were driving on our morning date and were heading home. Just around the corner from the rental we saw this little guy. When I was a little girl, growing up in Buffalo, one of my favorite parts of the Buffalo Zoo was the Prarie Dog display….I would stand for forever watching those sweet little doggies….never guessing they would be thriving where we live one day.

And that same morning, literally just feet from the Prarie Dog was this guy. I could just imagine he was thinking. “Crazy hunters…you just go right on up into my backyard and look for me…..I will hang out in YOUR backyard and have a good chuckle.” And lastly, most of you know that Dw is the senior pastor at the River. I popped on our church’s web site to look up the Daily Bible reading the other morning…..and said, “WOW!” The picture was taken by Mark, one of our staff pastors. It is absolutely breathtaking. He took it from a spot just a few minutes from our rental….if you have a minute you have to just pop on and see…it’s a spot that overlooks our church, but you can’t really see the church, although it is in the lower right hand corner………take a peak…you won’t be disappointed!
