Time To Celebrate

If we look, there is always something to celebrate. Linny thinks I find things to celebrate so I can eat some junk food. It is true. Celebration and junk food go together. So tonight as I write this post and celebrate I have just pulled the pizza from the oven, Pepsi on ice chips, and peppermint ice cream will help me celebrate!!

First, above we celebrate what is happening with Bill and Lyndsey at the new orphanage facility. It is coming along (they can use additional resources) and will be ready for children soon. Hmm, maybe some chicken wings would go good to celebrate such a great event!

We celebrate a little girls new suitcase going through the airport – meaning she’s one flight closer to coming home! (Go ahead pull out the chips and salsa – I told you it is a night to celebrate!)

We celebrate friends, near and far, who love the orphans. That includes all of you! So grab a hot fudge sundae and let’s celebrate together!) Are you tracking with me…

We celebrate little girls in pink princess dresses! Talk about beautiful!

We celebrate and crown our new princess – “Jubilee Promise”. Your talking one proud daddy here, who though he’s never seen her face to face grows more and more in love with her each day. Celebrate with me and open up some new M&M’s!

We celebrate children with special needs at Bill and Lyndsey’s orphanage. Linn says that’s Josiah with her and she’s bringing him home. (Break out some brownies!)

The nannys at Bill and Lyndsey made a feast. 17 different dishes prepared! Here’s a few! I told you celebration included food!!!

Celebrate Jubilee – you get to eat from the feast!!! By the way Linn said she was the last one done because she ate and ate. Makes us wonder how much she was allowed to eat in the past.

Well my precious Jubilee… when you get home…. Daddy’s going to have many reasons to celebrate….. and girlfriend….. we are going to eat!! Because that is something Daddy’s do best!! dw for Linny Lee

  1. DW – What a beautiful picture of Jubilee Promise you have there. Love the princess dresses and pink hair ties. A lot of good things to celebrate. Can't wait for you to have her home and get her accustomed to her new life – that definately includes eating. Our dd gained 5 lbs (at 17mos) just while we were in China. Who knows how much JP will change in the months to come. Congratulations!

  2. Ahhhh! You're baby girl will be home before you know it!

I was just laughing last night recounting to my sweet hubby about your post "tell me it's been a month" … even our son was laughing.

  3. You must be one busy Daddy, DW, keeping up with all of the children, and making us wait so long for the next update! 😉

I celebrated with you. I was already eating a chocolate chip cookie when I logged on. But…I had a glass of milk, too, so now it makes one well-balanced breakfast.

Many blessings, many reasons to celebrate.

    Love from south Georgia,
    Robbie

  4. Joining in the celebration with some morning donuts from out favorite bakery!! Later in the day I will celebrate with some Christmas fudge- yep, I'm trackin ya!

Love the pictures!! So happy for the babies and for Linsay and Bill! So thrilled for sweet Jubilee and her new family! God is so so good! Praising Him!

  5. Whoo-hoo – let the celebrations begin! I, for one, just had a delicious Christmas cookie in honor of your precious Jubilee. I think I will have another one right now!!

    🙂 🙂 🙂

    In Christ,
Janet, Kevin, Ted, Philip, and soon to have our Eli home and celebrating too!

  6. So much to celebrate! I love the pic of the 3 little princesses. Jubilee really is the size of a 4 year old, isn't she?!! So glad that she will soon be home to join in your celebration feast. And when you start talkin' hot fudge sundaes, M&M's, and brownies – well you're talkin' my language!

  7. <3 I can't even tell you how happy I am for you guys!! I want to be adopted into your family. Pleeeease? 😉 Your family is so amazing and full of love; I am so blessed to witness even a small portion of it. You guys inspire me everyday to bring home a gazillion little ones and I'm praying everyday that can happen!

And this is totally off-subject, but if that zebra/pink suitcase is Emma's, I LOVE it!! 🙂

  8. Wow, Dw, you are good at this! What a great post!!! SO much to celebrate! And another cool thing is that our "adopted" 21 year old daughter is contacting Lynsay about possibly coming to help them out for a while. I hope she gets to go!

  9. DW you made me cry. so sweet. Dan calls our girls girlfriend all the time. 🙂 He saw your post the other day and said he is so excited for you guys. Then his face drooped. I said what is wrong? He said, I am just jealous.(we are waiting for our two girls!!!) He said I wish WE were getting our girls now. So, we are rejoicing with you and waiting not so patiently for our own turn.

  10. We are breaking out the Christmas cookies in WI to help celebrate with your sweet family!! Thanks for letting us tag along with your family – you are such an inspiration to me – Merry Christmas from Stacey

  11. It's amazing what a mother's love (and a sisters) will do for a child, look at her blossom! I know having daddy and little 'uns around will give you another perpetually smiling child!
    God bless.

  12. PRECIOUS! I have happy tears falling down. What a precious angel! She looks so happy…like she has always been a part of your family.
Congratulations! Heap the whipped cream and add some chocolate sauce!

  13. DW, we are celebrating with you and your beautiful family! Jubilee Promise has a family! She just shines in the pictures. We pulled up a chair to the table and we had a feast right along with you, complete with cheesecake!

    Hugs,
    Robin

  14. Oh my gosh…that photo of Bill, Lynsay and the girl in front of the new kids home…so great, except they look like they are FREEZING! Love the pics of their girls with Jubilee. 🙂

  15. God is good ALL the TIME and ALL the TIME God is good! 🙂

Jubilee Promise I can't wait to meet you and say welcome home sweet princess welcome home!

Emmalee I miss you so you need to hurry up and get home cause I want to hug that neck of yours! 🙂 I love you!

Linny Lee I know that your heart is filled with an overwhelming joy! 🙂 I love you and can't wait to see the huge smile in person! 🙂

  16. These pictures delight my heart! I'm grabbing a couple of carrot cake cookies and a glass of milk to celebrate with y'all (yeah, I know…it's breakfast time here, but hey, a celebration exempts one from concerns of nutritional value)! 🙂

  17. Absolutely celebrating "the year of Jubilee!" with you!! 🙂 Does left-over pizza and Christmas cookies count?! 😉

DW, you are doing an amazing job managing the blog while Linny is away. You two are the PERFECT team and I LOVE your hearts as parents…you can clearly see how happy you are to be called mom and dad! What a beautiful example to all of us. Your hearts for adoption is inspiring…and for the FIRST TIME EVER my husband is already talking about the possibility of going back…and we haven't even brought our Khloe home yet! This is a far cry from the man who "wasn't ready" earlier this SAME year! GOD IS GOOD!!! <><

Have a Merry Christmas and I can't wait until you can hold your daughter in your arms, too!

    Blessings from MN,
    ~ Tanya
