Tying up Lose Ends

Here’s a few things going on at our home:

Sarah called yesterday. Less than 12 hours after Tyler depl*yed she was having coffee with a friend whena man grabbed her wallet and ran. The guy was BIG. There were two of them. All her ID and all Ty’s ID was stolen. She feels violated and was so weepy that the first email she will send to him will say that everything was stolen. I prayed with her over the phone, but it is so hard having her so far away from us while he is so far away from her!!

Isaiah keeps crying that I am leaving. He knows why we’re going, but he is a snuggle/cuddle bug. Your prayers for all the kids will be greatly appreciated.
Here is our itinerary:

Drive to Albuquerque this afternoon.
12/11 – Fly about 8:00pm MST to LAX.

12/11 – About midnight PST leave LAX for Guangzhou.
12/13 – Guangzhou – three hour layover. About 9am Sunday morning (GZ time) we will fly to Beijing.
12/14 – Monday, we will meet our precious Jubilee Promise!!Haven’t heard a time yet.

Dw will be keeping the blog going (and I know all of you are stoked about that!)

Thank you to all of you who are praying for our travels. Last night, after a fun-filled evening of the Bar D Wranglers playing Christmas music at our church, Dw and I and Emma were able to talk to our friends, Dan and Lavonne in San Antonio via a conference call. They prayed with us about the yoke of fear. Emma and I felt such peace. We are confident that we will be riding in the protective coverings of Almighty God’s wings (Ps. 91). Please don’t stop praying though!!!
Our flight will land back in Albuquerque on 12/23, Lord willing. Dw will post the return information when it gets closer to time.

Here’s what the kids have been up to:
What is that noise I hear coming from the laundry basket???

SNOW! SNOW! SNOW!

Much love from our home to yours sweet bloggy friends!! xo

  3. Hi Linny, I know you won't be checking this but if one of your family does please tell them to have Sarah notify their bank and possibly contact Experian or Equifax to put an alert on their credit info. I worked in banking and was a victim of identity theft twice-this is very important for them to protect themselves.
    Praying for your trip.

  4. hey linn, we took that 11:59 flight out of LAX to Guangzhou.. it's not bad. China Southern had orchids in the bathroom on our flight. I spent lots of time in there looking at them to stretch 🙂 The only problem we had was there were no a/c vents and the Chinese flight attendants liked it VeRy Warm!! We were sweating like little piglets when we arrived in steamy Guangzhou!

So sorry to hear abt. the stolen wallet!!!

  5. We are so excited to see your beautiful family expanding even more! What a sweet Christmas this will be. We will keep praying for you and Emma as you travel, and also for DW, that it would be a sweet, peaceful time for him and the other kids. You've probably thought of it already, but maybe Isaiah would like to SKYPE? That sure helped my girls when we were gone. The time change makes it a little tricky, though!
    All our Love,
    Brian and Megan

  6. Oh, I cannot explain just how excited I am that you are FINALLY getting to go bring home your sweet Jubilee! I've been thinking about it over the past several days and just praising God for the whole thing! 😀 Praying for y'all's travel. I can't wait for you to all be home together!

  7. This morning when I woke up I started praying for your Jubilee and your trip. For Advent we are studying God's promises with our boys and the overarching theme is that God keeps his promises – all the crazy promises and prophecies that had to come together for Jesus to be born – obedient parents, a foreign government's decree, safety traveling on a long journey while pregnant, a star, angels, magi traveling to worship because of some long lost prophecy in their own country, going to egypt as a family because of a vision. God's hand of provision and protection was on them every step of the way to fulfull his promises. He still keeps his promises today and will move heaven and earth to do so, even sending special messengers if needed. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and He has gone ahead of you to prepare your journey. Love and prayers as you go.

  8. Linny my heart is with yours on this trip. My prayers will accompany you on the flight and throughout your journey!!! I can't wait to hear that Jubilee is in your arms!!!!! God is good!!!
