Jubilee Meets Her Oldest Brother Ty-Ty

Dw, Graham and Tyler arrived late Wednesday night after all the little guys were asleep. Tyler ran upstairs and tried to rouse them. It was pretty funny. Elizabeth and Jubilee didn’t stir. Tyler said to Elijah, “Ty’s home.” Elijah didn’t open his eyes, but lay limp and opened his mouth just a tiny circle and said, “oh”. We really laughed. Isaiah barely opened his eyes and smiled. Liberty did hug him and fell back on her pillow. Konked, or what? Ty was bummed.

In the morning Jubilee was the first one in the living room. Tyler prefers sleeping in the living room because he said he wants to be there when the kids wake up. He said he does not want to sleep the day away. {Sweet guy, huh?} So Jubilee spotted Tyler feet {above} sticking out of the covers…..he has slept this way for as long as I can remember…bare feet stickin’ out from under his blanket. The second she saw his feet she yelled, “Daddy!!” I said, “No, that’s Ty-Ty.”

Elijah jumped on top of him and Jubilee went in for a closer look….{notice Ty’s hand gently touching her and the look on her face is as though she is saying, “Wow Elizabeth – we really do have a Tyler just like Mom said.” And by the way, did you notice the twins matching nighties?} In the meantime Elijah dove on big brother…And then Elizabeth jumped in the fun…Nelly was already snuggled there….Jubilee decided to watch the kids from the back….And Elizabeth and Elijah told Tyler all the latest…. Emma and Tyler have a special bond and love talking and goofing around…and as I was posting this I was trying to figure out what was even on the island….so colorful?? Then I realized I had been folding clothes! Yeah, my house is rarely tidy. Okay, okay, so it’s never tidy.

Emma made cinnamon rolls – oh they are sooo good…

Elizabeth Mercy loves “her” Ty-Ty

Soon Jubilee realized that her biggest brother is a total blast!!!

My favorite oldest son….such a treasure and yes{!} he protects YOUR freedoms!!!

My favorite second oldest son!!! My musical treasure {& so sleepy boy…it was a long trip}

And they have not stopped climbing on him yet….

And he seems to love every second of it all….

  6. Oh, these pics just make me happy. (And, umm, my kitchen island looks worse than yours.) The love is so evident from your kids happy faces–from the oldest to the youngest. We are so grateful to Tyler for sacrificially serving our country.

I'm so glad Jubilee (and you) survived the surgery. It just breaks my heart that she thought you were taking her clothes and leaving her. I hope and pray that trust was built this past weekend.

Much love for the week ahead.

    Blessing,
    Kathie

  7. Such sweet pictures! Thank you Ty for defending our country! 🙂 My nephew does too and I know the sacrifice he makes and that the family makes left here to worry and pray for their safety. 🙂

  8. So glad that Tyler is home. I am very thankful for those who serve as well. I don't have an island but rest assured that if I did it would be worse than yours too!

    In Christ Alone,

    Sherri

  9. Our kitchen island is usually full of stuff too. :o) Thanks for sharing pictures of your sweet family with us. Thanks, Tyler, for all that you do to protect our freedom. May God bless you and keep you.

  10. How wonderful to see the "littles" enjoy Ty so very much! Having a big brother is THE BEST!

I look at your Ty and can see a glimpse of what our tiny, little Sam may look like as a man…so handsome! AND, I am so grateful for Ty's service in the armed forces!

  11. I love your Tyler posts. My heart totally melts when I see something about your s*ldier. I am so thankful for guys like him who protect our freedoms. It was precious to see him lovin' on his little brothers and sisters.
