Sunday Snapshot:: {Love Knows No Color}

This past week we had the privilege, as a family, of taking a train ride through the beautiful mountains that surround our little city.

Elijah was sitting next to me, Isaiah on my other side. Jubilee was in the seat behind us with Daddy. Graham and Elizabeth were in front of us. Emma and Liberty in front of Graham and Elizabeth. All of a sudden I turned and found this:

Elijah and Jubilee had somehow found each others hand and
were holding hands around the window sill. {They are little buddies. He watches out for her, which is so sweet.}

My heart was so moved & I was so thankful that I was able to catch it on camera.

True love knows no color.

Reminding us all how God’s heart is:

Perfectly and completely ~ Colorblind!!

  1. LOVE this so much! what precious moments we're blessed with as mamas.

    [thank you for your encouraging words last night! i'm proud of you for speaking up about all vanilla, all the time being pretty darn boring!] =)

  2. Love the beautiful snapshot. I just wanted to share with you that my daughter and I still pray for Autumn every night. We are praying for her complete healing! Also 🙂 we started our adoption process a month ago. We are not sure where God is calling us to go and we are praying hard for His answer. Thank you for sharing your children! Kim

  3. If only adults could look at the world through the eyes of children…
    I love that you captured their hands together, and it is so much more precious that they reached around the window!

  4. Just beautiful!!! You need to frame that one and display it in your home. Just amazing how God weaves hearts and families together. Jubilee hasn't even been home a year, Elijah hasn't been home even two years, yet they know they have a family to hold onto through the journey of their lives.
    Precious!

    Much Love,
    Kathie

  5. What a beautiful picture. If only everyone was coloured blind:-)

    When my husband was in Africa bringing home our son he purchased a wood carving of two hands almost exactly like your picture. One hand has dark stain on it and the other natural wood. The two are holding/shaking hands.
    It is proudly displayed on our shelf as a constant reminder to whoever enters our home that colour plays no part here.

  6. That picture is priceless!! I keep putting pics on my blog of my two littles…I can't help myself b/c even though they look completely different, the love that comes through in their pictures is undeniable. It's like a glimpse into how the Father sees us…& how we should see each other.

  7. Want to know the funny thing? After reading your description and seeing the picture, I actually had to stop to think of which hand belonged to which child!

    It's such a blessing for adoptive parents to see them just as "our children" not "our children from Africa" or "our children from China".

    Beautiful, beautiful photo. Thanks for sharing!
