Memorial Box Monday

I thought I might do something a little different today. I try very hard to read all the Memorial Box Monday links, with partial success. Each one I am able to read reminds me of the attributes of God. The stories often remind me of things in my own life that could easily have long been forgotten.

Here are some stories that I thought I might mention: If you haven’t read the stories, now would be a great time to catch up!

Lyn wrote about her car breaking down at night on a lonely mountain road with tons of snow around. It reminded me of times in my own life when God has provided something right in front of me to meet my need – just like what He did for Lyn. And yes, as I was driving across the country, I was reminded of her story….He would provide whatever I needed – He just loves me that much {just like He loves Lyn and YOU!}

When I opened Jessie’s blog to read her Memorial Box Monday story I saw the verse she has posted on her header:

“The One Who Trusts in You Will Never Be Dismayed” Isaiah 28:16

Just seeing that verse made me tear up and start to cry. That is the exact verse that reassured me that God was going to bring our Isaiah home although China had said “no!” {even though they had given us pre-approval}.

During the days between March 19th {when they said no} and May 29th {when we learned that they had reversed their decision} we waited. We fasted. We begged God. We fasted some more. Nothing mattered but getting our precious treasure home. And in that time I learned something very important about my relationship with the Lord. Although I knew that waiting on Him was key, waiting and trusting took on a whole new meaning. He would not disappoint when He had already promised. It has become one of my favorite verses.

There are promises in my life that are not yet fulfilled, so as I wait for health issues to be determined and resolved I was reminded, as I opened Jessie’s blog, that when my hope is in Him, He will not disappoint!!

Just think, I hadn’t even read her Memorial Box entry yet, and I was already ministered to. Seriously friends, how God uses things someone would never even think of, to minister to a part of our hearts…He is so personal and in touch with our secret needs.

Anyway, Jessie, wrote about how God spared her life, before she had even given her heart to Christ. She heard His nudgings and His gentle voice…and her story is so encouraging.

And if by chance you missed the series I wrote a few months back on How to Hear God Speak, it’s here.

Another mama named Dana wrote linked a Memorial Box Monday post…I would be remiss to retell her story, but suffice it to say, she is honest about thinking she doesn’t have any sweet stories to share…until she lets the Lord start reminding her…you’ll love her first post!!

Susan from Australia wrote shared her story that will encourage you if you have lost something that must be found!! God is always sooo faithful, even to the teeny, tiniest detail!

And lastly, Tina wrote a beautiful story {she is a very gifted writer} about God’s love touch to her through a hummingbird.

So through the few blogs I have just mentioned my heart was reminded about God’s faithfulness to His promises, His love touches, His protection, His provision and His sweet surprises! And all the others are wonderful stories as well….{but space and time prohibit me from mentioning each}…

What about you? What has He done for you? How has He provided above and beyond anything you could think or ask? Please do share. Many of us are in need of specific encouragement today. Don’t be shy!!

Please, please, please link your permalink below. If you are not sure how to do that, click here.

I can’t wait to read what you all have to share….from rainy Western New York….where it is dreary and pouring…your stories will undoubtedly encourage my heart!!
