Mimi & Jaja

Our hearts overflow:
Abigail and Ryan have gotten a photo of their treasure
….and we got to see it too!! He is so very, very, very handsome!
Oh my!
They are not able to post a picture on the internet yet, so either can I {and yes, it’s killin’ me!} But if you know me and see me on the street – go ahead – twist my arm and I will show you just how precious he is. And we are now a multi-generational adoptive family! Yippee Jesus!
Since they have seen his picture they have now officially named him and so we finally got to hear his name as well: {His first and middle name}
Finley Lane
They have had the name “Finley” for years….
and we will all call him
Finn
How cute is that??
According to their attorney, they hope to travel to Uganda in mid-October,
Lord willing.
And this Mimi and JaJa’s hearts are bubbling over with glee!!
And although Finn has Ryan’s last name….
gotta’ say –
he looks way, way, way more like our side of the family!!
=) haha

  1. well it is highly UNlikely I will see you on the street here…so I will have to be patient! Wonderful news! We will be meeting our treasure mid October too!
Can't wait to see Finn with the rest of the bunch! My will he be covered in LOVE!!!

  2. Love the name – it was my first choice for our youngest daughter but I got out voted and her name is Piper. Can't wait to see his picture but REALLY can't wait to see a picture of them holding him for the first time!

  3. Congrats to all of you. Can't wait to see his picture posted. Your daughter has a way with words, must get that from her mom. Enjoy showing the grandbaby off to any and everyone that will look.

  4. Linny…
Ok, I'm don't care. I'm going to sound like a child!!!
That's just totally not fair. There is no way, repeat, NO way I can walk down the street so I can sneak a peek at the picture. Humph… HUMPH!!! No fair at all!!! I want to see… pout pout pout!!!
Truly I am so excited for everybody. You all must be just bouncing off the walls. No wonder the kids are bouncing on the beds, Surprised you weren't up there bouncing with them. Tell DW it's a good thing I don't live near you… you just take pictures. I'm the type that imitates or initiates the things the kids do.
Anyway, enough obnoxiousness from me for one day… all sillies aside… praying Finn a quick homecoming, better health for you, blessings for all.

  5. Oh my….how exciting. Congrats! Being grandparents is the most super fantastic gift ever….we can say that with authority as we have a dozen…and each one is so special!!

  6. Oh! That is just NO FAIR!!!!!! I have been waiting patiently, checking out their blog five times a day to see a photo!! Can't wait to see his sweet face, and I love the name!

  7. Congratulations!! What fun! New additions to the family are so great. Do you know what orphanage your little guy is in? Or what city he is from? Our twenty year old son is volunteering for a semester at the Wentz Medical Clinic in Gaba. I know there are several orphanages very close by. He is visiting at Bethany Village this week — its right on Lake Victoria. Small world………
    Blessings,
    Barbara
