Saddle Up Them Horses

Align CenterWith all the seriousness and intensity of the last few days,
how about some good ol’ Western fun??

A few weeks back we had the joy of going to our county fair…
{one of our favorite things to do all summer}

The kids got to ride in a Stick Horse Rodeo….
Look at ’em…
All saddled up on their buckin’ broncos…

and she’s off….

and he’s off….
Look at the glee!
Ride ’em cowgirl – ride ’em
and the littlest cowboy, grinning away…
That crazy horse gave old Mr. Elijah Mueller
a doggone run for his money….

until he was able to wrestle him into submission….
Whew! That was a hard workout…
and then we fed the goats

and enjoyed the roosters {well at least I did!}

This guy kept cock.a.doodle.dooing….
until I got right next to him…
then he played “hard to get”….so I begged him
and begged him some more…
“come on dude, give an old lady a thrill”…
{Such a male – stubborn as the day is long}

and after begging him for probably 5 minutes,
he finally obliged…
{I imagine he was muttering under his breath –
“will she just go away and leave me alone?”}
and I caught it on camera…
how stinkin’ fun is that??
Can’t you just hear him?
Music to my ears…

and we checked out the pigs and all their babies…
so sweet….
and somewhere in there we realized that Jubilee had probably not ever seen animals this close…ever. Check out her expression….
Absolutely enthralled….

Doesn’t she look so sweet?

Indeed, a good day was had by all…
Till next year!!

  1. Hi dear Linny, Loved seeing the kiddos at the fair-I have such fond memories of taking our girls to our state fair in Ca. You have been on my mind alot lately and I'm wondering how you are feeling-both physically and emotionally?
    I am dealing with health issues to and learning more than ever to walk in trust of our great Physican.
    Hugs today.
