What a Privilege

What a complete, absolute, amazing privilege to share in praying for all the needs you guys posted yesterday. I was amazed at the vulnerability so many of you shared with. I kept crying as I would read them to Dw and we would pray together as we drove…..so many needs, so many struggles, so much heartache.
Another thing it did was knit my heart with you through you sharing your heart. So many of you came out of the woodwork and it was so beautiful to hear what deep concerns you walk with. I sure love you guys!
Isn’t it comforting to know that we have such an amazingly HUGE God??
Can’t you just picture the Lord’s pleasure seeing hearts share and hearts around the world coming before His throne with this needs? I think we really have no idea how much delight it brings to Him. We will pray through the requests again as we drive today…
We spent the night in Barstow, California and are packing it up and heading to San Francisco. The kids were not finding the ride nearly as fun as any other time we’ve traveled. Probably something to do with just completely 4200 miles with mom about 2 weeks ago. But today we will see Abi and Ryan and later tonight, Tyler and Sarah….and so the excitement is building!
I think we will do a Memorial Box giveaway later today, so check back! For now, time to get a move on….
Although we were fasting and praying yesterday, if you still have requests to share, please go to yesterday’s comments and leave your request there.

  1. Linny thank you so much for pulling us all together for fasting and praying. I just love coming together with my brothers and sisters in Christ and praying for each other.

You are in my next of the woods now, So Cal! Been praying for your trip and for your K.

Enjoy your family time, and again, thank you so much for caring for all our own needs and requests.

    Blessings,
    Suzanne

  2. You are driving by my house today! I'll be waving! Didn't read the post about fasting until yesterday so I am fasting today while I am waving towards the freeway! Be safe and enjoy those grown kids you rarely get to see!

  3. Just wanted you to know my sweet niece Tessa made it through her open heart surgery with flying colors! God is so good! Please continue to pray for her recovery, and for my sister and brother in law…it's hard to see a tiny one in so much pain.

  4. Linny,

Whew. I don't know what I expected . . . surely not that there would be 123 comments (as of this morning) on yesterdays post–and so many huge, mountain needing moved needs . . . and heartache and turmoil and grief. I spent much of the day scrolling and praying (along with countless others) and what a privilege.

The Lord showed me a vision just now as I read Suzanne's comment (at the very top) —

She wrote "I just love coming together with my brothers and sisters in Christ and praying for each other."

As I read that I saw the Lord looking down upon bowed heads sitting in front of pink computer screens. He was smiling as He looked– oh there's another, and another, and another . . . listening as we lifted these requests together to Him–our mountain moving God.

Thank you Lord for hearing our prayers, and for continuing to hear our prayers. Our trust is in You!

Love you Linny, praying for your travels–as you roll on down the road. May your time together be hugely blessed.

Praying for K–and continuing to pray for the growing list.

    Love,

    Tina

  5. hi Linny, I am here in Louisiana (arrived two nights ago from Australia), and behind with your posts, yes I will pray for K today… I would love it if you could pray with me that He will make His plan clear to me, about my future, I really need Him to speak to me, because I have come this far and I need Him to show me what to do.

thank you so much 🙂 may YHWH continue to guide you in all His ways and bless you all and K closer to Him 🙂

  6. So thankful for the opportunity to pray for others and also to be prayed for.

I just wanted to share that my doctors visit went well yesterday- several new things WERE found and new treatments have begun. Only time will tell if this brings about total healing but I'm feeling so hopeful. I truly felt the prayers yesterday. I went into my appointment with complete peace and assurance. I KNEW that God had gone before me and was working on my behalf. I feel a burden has been lifted.

thank you, thank you, thank you!

  7. Just wanted to say that I'm still praying for K! My "fasting" was giving up the internet yesterday and spending more time in prayer. I prayed for K, for others I know who are in need of prayer, and for our own situations (possible job changes and adoption).

Checking out all of the additional prayer requests and praying for everyone.

  8. Linny! So exciting to hear the beginning (only the beginning) of awesome, answered prayer!!! Praising Jesus for BabyCircus answered prayer on her dr. visit/treatment…will continue to lift you up!! And Tessa's heart surgery going well…praise Him!! Continue to pray for full recovery there! And Ukraine's adoption ban voted down…that was answered yesterday! He was moving immediately on that one! So awesome to see the Glory of the Lord in all this!!! I had nearly the same vision of the Lord as Tina/Waitingfaithfully did…the Lord seeing all the prayer warriors praying unceasingly yesterday…and the deep sense that every day needs to be unceasing prayer… continuous… arrows of prayer being shot up throughout the day…i do that anyway but not at the level of yesterday with so many specific needs and names…it was awesome! The Presence of the Lord was engulfing and i could feel Him working on all the requests…what an honor and privilege to be apart of that! Missionaries right in our own homes has always been so important to me and these prayer/fastings that you have organized has just taken it to a whole new level!!! So much so that i am quoting from a message my Pastor's wife sent me this morning after seeing her last night at Study: "You really are glowing! Something is different & I'm not sure what, but God is on the move over your life!!! Praise Him!!!" i would never normally share something like that but i quote that here to show the power of prayer and how it looks on the face….it's the Lord's radiance shining forth from all that prayer! It's not me…it's all HIM! Oh the sweet fragrance of the Lord is even emitting from your blog!!! 🙂 God is so awesome! Praying for your dear family during this special time of gathering together. i know He will be blessing each moment! Continuing to pray for K…! You have galvanized a awesome group of prayer warriors to continue to walk in unceasing prayer! How cool is that! We serve an awesome God! Love you dearly! <3

And thank you everyone who prayed for me and my family yesterday…it was truly felt…and the peace that surpasses all understanding is flowing over and through us!! Much love! Praying for you all as well!

  9. How awesome!!! Tears here reading the wonderful posts just today! Tina's picture of the Lord smiling over us is beautiful! It makes our world seem a little smaller and the miles between these like minded women short. Sheri

  10. Update on my prayer request about flights for my trip to Uganda – I was able to find the exact set of flights I had been looking at earlier, just on a different website! I now have my tickets! My God is the God who provides! 😀

  11. Thank you all for posting updates. I prayed again for everyone on the comment list before I called it a night. I truly felt so burdened for all of you and am so happy to see that God heard our prayers and has already begun moving those mountains. Still praying in Texas.

  12. I just got news from the adoption agency, the birth mother, whose decision we were waiting on to find out if we would be parents in October or not, has decided to parent her child. I really do praise God this this new life will be staying with the one it has known for 9 months and that I shared distant and weird connection with this sister in Christ for a few weeks. I pray that God would give her the strength and the wisdom she needs to raise this child, and that her family and boyfriend would be involved and supportive.

What an answer to prayer! Now I wonder what God has for us next….

  13. thank you for praying!!!! we received our LOA TODAY from china and have been given a time frame of 3 – 3.5 months for travelling. which puts us squarely in the MIRACLE category to bring sarahjoy home before christmas! please keep praying for our christmas miracle!!! and that God would be GLORIFIED through his MIRACLES!!!!

  14. I really enjoyed the opportunity to pray with so many others yesterday. I've never participated in such an event and it was an incredible experience.
