My Mom

Yippee Jesus!!!!
My mom has been released!!

Thank you soooooo much for praying!!
From Intensive Care straight home.
Crazy me.
I thought ya’ go from ICU to a real room then home.
Watch and see.
Before long they will be doing surgeries on a drive-in basis.
Not.Even.Kidding.
*******
“Pull up Sir.”

“Little farther.”

“Oooookay, perfect!!

“Please put your car in neutral”,

“Place your drivers’ seat in the recline position…”

“Relax”

“This should only take a few minutes…”
Guess we’re all gonna want to make certain exactly
which drive-thru line we’re in…..
“Oh my gracious.  I thought
I was getting an Americano and
suddenly
my gallbladder is gone…”

  1. She is back at her apartment tonight {where it is a ton quieter}, cause my brother is still here and he can stay there with her.

Then tomorrow she will come back to our home and stay with us for awhile…

She says the kids help to make her feel better….

  2. Your post made me laugh. Love your sense of humor.
I was praying for you and your mom this morning. So glad she's at home where she can relax and heal.

Also, happy belated birthday! Sorry I missed commenting yesterday. I was praying it would be a wonderful day for you, despite your busy schedule.

  3. Yay!!!! Glad to hear your mom was released to go home today! 🙂 May she continue to recover speedily.

LOL @ your sense of humor! Who knows what the future holds…what if something similar to drive-thru surgeries surface 20, 30 years from now? Oh my…may the Lord keep us all in perfect health!

  4. I had this done 6 or 7 years ago and was also released from ICU to leave the hospital. Common practice for that surgery. I had the back carotid done where they went through my heart to get to it while I was WIDE awake (no drugs)I was released from recovery within the hour.

Your humor is great and your brother is there – all is right with the world.

  5. Haha! That's how I felt when the released my 15 month old after a skull fracture. He was in ICU for 3 days and then sent directly home to check back in with the doctor within the week. Wow! Was all I could think.

  6. Wow Linny! So glad that she is doing better! i bet she is happy to be home in her own bed for a change.
i know that she will be happy to see the kiddles tomorrow.
    Have a super Thanksgiving!
    Blessings!

  7. That is wonderful, your post got me smiling 🙂 My mum is now at the Dr's with my dad, to hear results. Please pray for wisdom and healing for her, thank you 🙂

HalleluYah! great news about your mom, wonderful!!! 🙂

  8. Wow! That's too funny! I mean scary!!! How do you go from ICU to home in the blink of an eye? I think you're right about the drive-thru's though, and I'll never be able to go through another without giggling at the thought of a scalpel coming at me through the window.

Thanks for the laugh. I'm new here, but I love your site already. 🙂

  9. Glad to hear that your mom is doing well. Now that is a great birthday present! Happy birthday Linny a day late.
It's funny that you mention gallbladder surgery. My step-mom is having gallbladder surgery next Monday and it is almost drive through. In one day N Out the next.
