Sunday

We are off to church and in the midst of the first service Emma, Autumn and I are leaving for Phoenix.  Autumn has a long-awaited appointment with a neurosurgeon tomorrow morning.   He has reviewed her {large} file and will be talking about surgery to remove the tumor deep in her brain.
In the meantime my mom is feeling horrible.  I put a call into the surgeon’s office yesterday evening around 7:30pm, but he never called me back.
I am so torn.
The drive to Phoenix is about 450 miles.  The appointment is in the morning and I will turn right around and head back as soon as it is over.  Lord willing, I will be back home tomorrow night.
Then my mom has to be at the hospital at 6 am Tuesday for her surgery.
If it hadn’t taken so long to get Autumn’s appointment we would just move it.
And really guys, I’m just like you….the thing I want to do most?
Crawl back into my flannel sheets, firmly grasp those sheets and blankets and pull them right over my head and hold them there.  If you think of us, would you pray for protection for my mom?  Safety for us as we drive, wisdom for the neurosurgeon and speed home.
As always, I will be updating Twitter on the sidebar.

  1. Praying Linny! I can't even imagine how torn you really are:(…praying for safety for you guys and that your mom feels BETTER..even if it's just for these two short days!

  2. Keeping all of you in prayer today and always…especially right now your mom, Autumn, the doctors involved and the travel! Will pray Psalm 91 over you today.

  3. UGH! I know the timing seems awful – asking God to work it for His glory.

Asking Him to guide each step you take, each person you meet, and each decision you are faced with. Asking for supernatural protection and widsom – and speedy and safe travel.

And most of all – asking for healing for your precious girl and mom.

  4. Though the timing of this appt. is NOT convenient, HIS timing IS. And, it will be clear to your Sweet, Sweet Heart, Linny.

I realize it's a lot of tugging on your Mama Heart, as you must take care of the needs of your child, but your Daughter Heart is still connected to your own Sweet Mom!

I will be Praying for a safe trip and that it will be a time of sharing that you and your girls will always remember. For Strength and Courage for Autumn as she meets with the doctor. (I also have tumors in my brain.)

And, I'll be Praying for your Mother. You know? My Mom had the same surgery 2 yrs. ago. Stints placed in both Carotid Arteries. She only stayed overnite and did really well. I know it's hard to leave when she isn't feeling well, but HE is there, right beside her.

Take care, Precious Friend/Sister! You are such a comfort in my life (bet you didn't know that!). I got your comment on FB!

KNOW that you are Loved and many will be lifting you to the ONE who Controls ALL things!

    Hugs from Minnesota! ~ Jo

  5. Linny,

Praying that the Lord would hold your Mama close as you have to leave her. That He would give you safe and smooth travels, and that the long awaited appointment for Autumn would bring the answers you have been waiting for. Asking that in the midst of it all the Lord would give you His strength and His sweet, sweet peace, Linny.

Lord, may it be so for Linny, for Autumn, for Emma and for Linny's mama, hold them close Lord. In Jesus name, Amen.

Love you friend. Praying as you go . . .

Lord we can't wait to hear of your glory in this time. Amen

  7. My heart goes with you. I will pray for all of them. May God give you mercy, safety and favor in all of your travels and travails … Jesus be their guide.

  8. I don't comment often but I wanted to let you know that I am praying for you tonight.
We have had several appointments for my son lately and we have to drive 2 hours for each one. I know how the trip wears us out and then trying to focus on all the information we receive during each appt……it takes a lot out of you!! I am praying that you are able to rest in HIM (I am still working on that one myself)….and praying for good news from Autumn's appt and your mom's surgery. Oh….and so happy to hear that your grand baby is home!!

  11. I am behind… yes I will pray for Autumn, and also for your mom too… and peace and strength for you as well, Linny. He is always with you and will never leave you or forsake you. HalleluYah!

Could you pray for my mother, she has Piagets and it is painful, her eye is sometimes swollen from possibly bone growth. She will have x ray results, please pray for our Lord to give wisdom to doctor that they'll know exactly how to help her, and for Him to relieve pain. Thank you so much 🙂
