Decoratin’

An African woman decorates the tree

I took a class when Tyler was a baby and learned how to make this quilted ornament.
No clue how I did it, but I just remember it took lots and lots and lots of pins….
My mom made the ice skates for us years ago…
Another one of our favorites…

Little guys handmade ornaments…
I made these sheep when we were first married….
I was smitten with sheep for the longest time….

Jubilee’s first tree decorating!!
Elizabeth can’t even “showcase” the tree without putting a little groove in it….
Check her out!!
Sweet baby boy….he was so careful as he hung each ornament up…

Protect the troops, Lord, protect the troops…

Emma made all kinds of stick people for the tree many years ago…still one of my favorite decorations…

Nelly supervises the entire job…

We’re getting all ready because tonight is our Girlfriend’s {women’s ministry at the River Church} Christmas party at our home.  I am really excited to open our home to these precious ladies and their friends.  It should be cozy – to say the least!!  Pictures coming!  Would love to be hosting a Christmas party for bloggy friends….how fun would that be??

  1. I just made one of those ornaments that "takes lots and lots of pins" on Tuesday night with my church ladies!! I think mine took more pins, because the rows were closer together. Guess it's been around for awhile! 🙂

  2. Tree looks beautiful, hanging with memories! As for bloggy friend party would be fun. Hope your ladies evening goes well. Look forward to the pictures as I will be asleep here in England with snow falling! whilst you party!!! So pleased that Jubilee is enjoying devorating the tree it seems like she has always been apart of your family.

  3. I made one of those ornaments that takes lots of pins too. It was fun making it. I love all the pictures..so sweet. And to think it's Jubilee's first Christmas with you guys. AWESOME!! Along with that it's going to be your grandson's first Christmas too. WOW, God is good. Hugs and love

  4. Ha ha – we have the same red elf. Mine pulls his knees up and has his arms around them. Then he sits on a branch. He's also been known to do college students laundry and be found sitting on a folded pile of it on their beds.
