One Year Ago Today

One year ago today, this little almost 8 year old treasure
became part of our forever family….
A whopping 32 lbs…waiting almost 8 years for a family…
and then finally{!} it was her turn…
What a difference  a year makes!!

One year ago on this very day….
Look at the change!!
What a difference knowing you have a mommy
{who loves you} and you belong – can totally make!!

And a family that loves you….

and a silly twin sister that makes her laugh….

Oh yes, it is soooo good to be loved!!

  1. She is so precious! I dont think I have ever seen a picture of Jubilee without having my face breakout into a huge smile. She really is very precious. You all are blessed.

  2. Oh man! I can't believe it's been a year! So stinkin glad she is HOME and with her sweet family. 🙂 She is seriously precious. I find it nearly impossible to keep a smile off of my face when I see pictures of her. 🙂

  3. Oh my goodness, I just LOVE that little girl! She has a smile on her face in almost every picture, and it's one of the best smiles I've ever seen. Precious, precious, precious. Happy Forever Family Day to you all!

  4. YAY! Happy FFD Jubilee! We sat by you guys on the bus to the U.S. Consulate in GZ. Jubilee was so cute – you were helping her to distinguish between who was a friend and who was a family member!

  5. No way! A whole year?

Just look at that confidence in her eyes! Knowing that she's loved by Jesus and her Heavenly Father works through your hands to show her that.

Somehow, I felt a special kinship with her – that seemed to make more sense once you spoke of her hearing loss.

Let him (her) who has ears to hear?

"Hear" the love that is "spoken" in your home. The hugs that shout "Jesus gave us you!" and the smiles that sing "see, He has a plan for you!"

So very thankful for how He loves us. Happy Coming Home Anniversary Loved One!

  6. Wow, this year went by so quickly! And you're right…what a difference a family, love, and a sense of belonging make! Those basic, innate needs of life (that everyone truly deserves) mean the world in our overall health and relational development. Just by your pictures I can tell she has flourished tremendously. God is good, isn't He?!

Oh, and Jubilee's name is so befitting. Every time I see one of her pictures I smile and rejoice on the inside for the way God made it possible for her to have a family…forever and ever!

  7. Oh, Linny, I remember it was Christmastime…but I can't believe it's really been a year! Praise Jesus! God is so very good!
Sister, can you pray for us this week? We've thrown ALL caution to the wind and decided to bring home 2 instead of 1. I can't stand the thought of knowing God wanted us to do something and we missed Him. He will be glorified – we are totally, 100%, radically dependent upon Him!

  8. Always wonderful to see Jubilee in her family!!! It seems like just yesterday, that prayers were being lifted up on her behalf, to bring her home!

In answer to our prayers, WE GOT OUR PAPERWORK last Thursday!!!! Our I800 is now being filed. We should be on our way to our Lily in about 10-12 weeks!!!

  9. I can't believe it's been a year already!! Wow!! Every time I see a picture of this precious child and her beautiful, beaming smile, my heart bursts with joy! Thank you for sharing your sweet treasure(s) with all of us! Happy anniversary to your beautiful forever family!!

  10. Only a year, it seems like she has always been in your family. Miss J is looking so beauriful and she looks so happy!! God has some great planned for your sweet blessing!

  11. It's been a year already? WOW…where did the time go? I'm so happy for your family! Isn't amazing ALL the miracles that GOD does…!?!
