While up in Denver speaking a couple weeks ago,
a couple different people came to me and said,
“So who dunnit?”
Oooopsie.
I totally forgot to tell you.
My bad.
So as the story goes….
I said to both Elizabeth and Elijah,
“You both will sit here all day until you decide to fess up.”
About that time Elizabeth pulled her thumb out of her mouth and said,
“How ’bout it be truth time?”
Whoaaa.
I was so excited with the progress!
Truth time?
{From my limited experience with the 10 kids I have, this was a huge moment!!}
I encouraged her for being such a brave and courageous girl.
And she lifted her little hand and said, “I did it.”
I loved on her and loved on her some more.
And
amazingly, she rocked cleaning the bathroom –
multiple times coming and getting the cloth rinsed out.
I was so proud of her…
my now-brave-enough to tell the truth baby girl!!
Awe that is so sweet. She is just so precious, already learning what it's like to tell the truth. Beautiful. Hugs and love
What a sweetie. You are such an amazing mom. Thank you for giving us glimpses into moments like these so that we can learn from them. Knowing me, I probably would have reacted with far less grace. : /
We are proud of her too! Way to go big girl
that is pretty amazing for being such a young girl. Truth time, I like that a lot.
Sweet, sweet girl you have there Linny…just like the rest of them! 🙂
what a sweetheart and such a pure one at that! Elizabeth my prayer for you is that you would always remember truth time! Janet
That is awesome! Truth time rocks! 🙂 That was quite a while ago – I'm glad someone reminded you!
Oh how I love your Elizabeth stories (and Jubilee stories, and Elijah stories, and . . .).
I'm catching up on your life and wanted to wish Jubilee a happy one year anniversary of being home. So special. The candy cane story gave me a laugh I truly needed. But the log candles, oh my, I want some! LOVE your idea and can't wait to see what God does through your new ministry. When you're ready to sell them, I'm ready to buy.
Much love to your family,
Kathie
That is awesome of her! What a big thing to do for such a little girl!
that is BEAUTIFUL! very very cool. and adorable. hehe.
Truth time!! What a doll 🙂 Great job, Momma!
I had been wondering, too! Way to go truth tellers!! Been praying for your mom and hubby, too. Hope they are doing better.
Christmas Blessings,
Barbara
Hi, I am new to your blog and I hope you don't mind me asking but are all your children adopted? Just curious!
*sigh. I love truth time. 🙂
Can she teach that to some of our politicians?
"How 'bout it be truth time?"
LOL, that Elizabeth cracks me up! 🙂 She's precious.
