for all your brave comments and your own transparency.
Each of you have deeply, deeply, deeply touched my heart.  I am truly humbled.
To those who emailed me or left FB comments, thank you also.
I was actually thinking of making up a little badge that could be on the sidebar…like a “Simply Transparent”...agreeing together to be transparent so Christ would always be glorified.
Isn’t it funny how the enemy wants us to keep us fearful to even share
that we struggle or have struggled with fear?
I have had tremendous victory since that night of praying with JD, Irma and Carie, which is amazing in itself that it would be on the two year anniversary of the fire….how gracious of God!
I have been praying and I am planning on writing about what happened the very next day, as I chose to stand up in the courage of the Lord and do the bravest thing I could ever imagine!!  You will rejoice with me at the victory {but not without the opportunity for fear} I had in the power of Jesus’ name!
Going to do Bible with my treasures, but Lord willing, back later.

  1. I love the idea of the transparent button!!! What a great way for us all to encourage each other.

Your post couldn't have come at a better time. A friend was just sharing with me that everytime she starts to work on her adoption papers, she becomes very fearful! It has kept her from perservering. I am going to send her your blog and encourage her to continue reading so that she can be encouraged by your stories! THANK YOU! It just might be that your transparency will bring another little one out of bondage and into a forever family!!! (And that is just the one we know of!!!) Yippe Jesus!

  2. So I read your blog all of the time! I think I maybe have commented once before. I actually missed the post you just did about fear until today. So I'm commenting late but thank you for writing that. Thank you for being vulnerable, and real, and open…and for giving others the opportunity to open up themselves! I actually wrote a post in December about some fear issues I have been working through with the Lord. http://thewoodsgang.blogspot.com/2010/12/grief.html

    Anyway, thank you again!

  3. It is nice to read of other's struggles and victories over that major plo of the devil to make us fear.
God knew that would be a major way to make us impotent. Hence we are told specifically that God
DID NOT give us a spirit of fear… How many times I have to remind myself of that truth. Fear just creeps up lots of times from very small beginnings.

Thank you for always sharing your heart. I often wonder if you received a "hug" card from me long ago.

  4. I read all of this post and then the one you linked to about the flight. Oh how my fears in no way match up to yours. Thank you for boldly posting this, there is so much to be thankful for and so much to pray through right now.

  5. Dear Linny, Thank you for sharing your heart with us here-I just now read yesterday's post too. You have encouraged many, including me, who can be gripped by fear over flying or earthquakes etc. A good reminder to be vigilent and pray with others when we are in the midst of the battle. I'm thankful I wasn't on that flight cause I would have been crying and calling out, in a loud voice, to our Father.
    Hugs to you today.
    Noreen

  6. What a wonderful post and wonderful comments. I think the enemy knows exactly where to push. PTL…God is bigger than the boogie man (remember that song from veggietales?haha) and we can have victory in Jesus name. Love you, Linny.
I'm sure Alexis would do your button if you need her to. 🙂 Email her.
