That Crown

It’s been a couple of months since I “updated” you, my sweet bloggy friends,
 with how my Crown of Splendor is comin’ in.
I just snapped these two pictures a few minutes ago.
One in natural light and one in our foyer.
I got it cut yesterday and she said, that in the front bang area,
probably one cut and it will be all gray.
eeeeek
I am soooo excited.
And on a really fun note: I have to tell you….
there are three ladies at church that are “going for it” now too!!
I am so stinkin’ tickled.
Whatcha think?
“Gray hair is a crown of splendor;
it is attained by a righteous life.”
Proverbs 16:31 {niv}

  1. Love it!!!

    I grew my color out in the months before my wedding 4 years ago, because I actually wanted my natural brown color for my wedding day. Just something I always wanted to do/have. And I've never dyed again! I plan to keep it this way, and I LOVE it!

    It looks beautiful Linny! Congrats!

  2. It looks beautiful! I hope mine will come in that pretty when I go gray. I only have a few random gray hairs right now, but I haven't colored my hair in 2 years and I do have to fight the urge to highlight it to hide the on-coming gray. I know it's a waste of money though and it's not very healthy for me either.

    Kuddos to you for embracing beauty at every age!

  3. Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous! I'm enjoying my natural journey, too. The little gray I have is still coming in nicely. Isn't it amazing how irredescent and sparkly gray looks in natural sunlight? Your haircut is nice, too. Sassy! 😉

  4. I think it will look quite striking on you since your face is so young and healthy looking. I will admit, I had been wondering how it was looking. Looks good!

  5. Your hair looks great!

    And can you please tell Isaiah I'm sorry I missed the birthday post yesterday…I've been reading this blog since you went to get that sweet boy, and I just think he is one of the sweetest little guys in the world! Happy birthday, Isaiah! We love you way over here in Michigan!! : )

  6. brave girl you! I let my hair go grey naturally when I was about 42 and have been asked if I want senior discount since then. Not yet 50 but not having the hassle of dying is worth the comments. You will love it and it is looking great already!

  7. That is a beautiful thing Linny.

    I think that letting it go natural is the equivalent of a guy refusing to do a comb over….LOL

    P.S.
    I just got a hair cut yesterday….ROFL

    just saying…

  8. I have hair down to the middle of my back and I totally intend on just letting it turn grey.
    I'm a hair freak but I still think the grey will be beautiful!

  9. I'm a hair stylist and I think change is not such a bad thing! I think it's great that you're going for it! So many people listen to what everyone else says and I love a client who does what THEY want! =)

  10. The most beautiful woman in the world to me was my grandmother. She never dyed her hair once. I grew up thinking, "When I get old, I want to look like her!" She had a godly beauty and elegance about her that was regal. So love what you're doing!
