Woot! Woot! A Prophetic Facebook Moment

This morning I was working around on Africa stuff for our upcoming trip
{12 days and we will be on our way!} and I was praying alot about E’s adoption.
As I worked about I began to notice emails coming in asking about my Facebook status.  With the first one I thought, “Weird, must have seen an old status, cause I haven’t been updating anything for forever.”  Then a second one, then a third on top of that one.
That’s the weird thing about getting older, cause then I thought,
“Hmmm, maybe I did post a status update and can’t remember it. haha”
{You who are older can totally relate to that thought, right?}
Well later I saw that there were even more comments.
Okay.
Time to check this out myself.
Lo and behold! I found that my Graham had thought it would be fun to put,
“Woot Woot” as my Facebook status.   Of course, my FB friends were wondering what there was to “Woot-woot” about??
I laughed and told them that he was just being funny and yes, indeed, he was laughing quite heartily by now.  He was totally loving all the curiosity that his “woot-woot” was generating.
As I explained to them that it was all Graham, I also mentioned that I needed to do a blog post because our adoption of E could use some serious prayer.
Immediately several said they would begin to pray now!
Several also said, “Email me and I will pray.”
I was so touched.
Really guys, from the bottom of my heart, Thank you.
And ya’ know I know these friends good enough to know
that several started praying immediately.
They didn’t even know details.
They just went to their knees.
Unbelievable.  Such kindness.  Being His hands and feet.

Really!  The body of  Christ ministering to our situation!

Cause guess what happened next??

After lunch I had a counseling appointment.
And in the midst of counseling my client, my cell rang.  I usually ignore the calls, but there it was!
The agency doing our home study.
I explained I had to grab that!
It was, Kathi, from the Colorado home study agency who has done our last four home studies, but does not hold E’s file…and Kathi said the sweetest words we’ve heard since the other agency {who does hold E’s file} said that we could adopt E…..
“We can start your home study now!”
**whooaa**
There had been a snag that was causing an extremely long delay.
But the snag is being worked out and we can proceed full-steam ahead.
So, although I will not be able to bring E home when I am there in two weeks, we are {finally!} moving toward one day being able to bring him home.
So let’s figure this out….
was it just “coincidence” that the day people starting praying something moved in a big way?
Cause see, some people would say it was….
But actually
it was absolutely NOT a coincidence!
Ya’ know how I know?
Because His word says, “When we agree together about something that agrees with His will, He moves.”  And for some reason our great big Almighty God just gets a stinkin’ kick out of people joining together to pray about something.
{That’s why we call Him our miracle-working, mountain-moving, awe-inspiring, gasp-giving God!}
So to all those crazy FB friends who started praying – thank you!
And to all those who were already praying – thank you!!
When that little treasure gets home we are sure gonna’ celebrate!
And remember that “Woot-woot” comment from Graham just a few hours earlier?
Sounds like it was totally a prophetic moment!!
Yippee Jesus
and
Woot-Woot!!!

  9. That "woot woot" was no accident either. It was a God-directed "woot woot" just so we'd get to praying. Love you sweet friend and I'm praying right along with all these others for God to bless Elliot with health and peace as you and all your family are anxiously waiting to bring him to his forever home. It won't be long precious boy and you'll have a mama and a daddy and lots of brothers and sisters. Hang on!

  10. Following links and ended here, and glad I did. This is an amazing story. And your blog and posts are very uplifting. Great to see such great Christian work being done in family.
