Africa and Ukraine Updates

First, there is some good news coming from Ukraine today.  S wrote that those in authority asked the little 3-1/2 year old if he wanted S & D to adopt him.  He did!!
Then they asked big sis and she said, “No!”  The interpreter was able to get out of her that she likes D {the wife} but does not like S because he has whiskers.  {Must be referring to stubble.}  They felt she was just making some excuses.  Anyway, after more discussion it was decided that they would proceed with the adoption papers.  Yippee Jesus!
Please, if you think of S & D and these two precious treasures, please, continue to ask for God’s favor and that the Lord would heal this little treasure.
Lastly, there is a baby at the baby home in Uganda.  Her situation is desperate.  I saw her picture {which we are not allowed to post, at least not yet}.  I could hardly look at it.  She is stunningly beautiful, but clearly starving to death.
Emma wrote about it on her blog:
Please read it!
Then start interceding for little Daniella.
Dw is going to talk to the director in the morning,
{if she is available} to see what we can help do for her.
And don’t you worry – if there’s anything
{and I mean anything we can do}
You, my sweet, “God-fearin’, Orphan-lovin’, Wanna’-Help-Them Anyway-You-Can” friends – you’ll be the first to know!!
Promise!

  1. That is great news about S&D! I will continue to pray for favor both with the kids and the officials there.
I will also be praying for sweet baby Daniella. Praying for health and wholeness in her body.

  2. I'm following Em's blog, and as always, yours, for trip updates. I don't comment much, but I'm always praying, and I did fast and pray with you on Friday last week. I have something that I am praying about for our family as well.

  3. Thanks so much for the update on S&D. I'm so thankful things are moving forward – and my prayers continue for a smooth transition for this family. I am also praying for baby Daniella – and I will continue to pray. That just tears my heart apart. Many prayers…………..

  4. Thank you for the updates! Will be praying for S&D and their treasures!! So exciting! Daniella…my heart…little lamb…such a privilege to pray for her and seeing what the Lord is going to do (is doing). His Faithfulness will shine like the morning sun and He will get the glory for this precious beautiful little one!

  5. It's nice to hear some good news. I'm very happy for your friends and those two little children who are going to be so happy they said yes when they learn what it means to be in a loving family.
I will pray as hard as I possibly can for sweet little Daniella…the poor sweet little tiny precious baby. Thanks for telling us about her. I'm glad Emma was with her today.

  6. So grateful to hear about S and D!! This little girl will be so thankful very soon. She just doesn't know what she's missing!
As far as that sweet baby Daniella, you betcha, we are on it!

  7. Linny – praying here! So excited for S&D and the children – they will be so blessed to have a forever family! Praying for the sweet baby in Uganda, as well! I can imagine her face, I can imagine Emma and DW hold her and singing to her, I can imagine that God will do mighty things in her life! Can't wait to hear more! Hope you and all the littles are doing well at home!

  8. Thankyou for finding me! I will read through your blog…. so far all the information we have looked into is so off-putting. I am praying for God's will and for Him to provide some basic necessities for the process to begin. Would love to keep in touch. We are in Victoria – where are you guys based? Love Rachael xx
