Perpendicular

Thank you to all who have been praying for my sweet hubby.
I have to tell ya’….
I posted yesterday that it would be 18 hours till I would be picking he and Emma up.   Dw was waiting at the airport and opened Our Place Called Simplicity and read that post.   By the way, it absolutely him to pieces to know that the Knee Team was interceding for him.  He even mentioned the Knee Team on Facebook last night.
After reading the post, he dashed me a message which said, “Is it really only 18 hours till I see you?”  With international travel, it’s so hard to figure out how many hours till whatever with all the time zones and such and he was thinking it had to be waaaay more than 18 hours.
Well I confess right here and now that I have never been all that great at Math.   Spelling is just so much more my thing.  So when his message came I re-checked my Math.
Ooops.
 Sorry Babe.
I sent a message back:

“Ooops.  It’s really 36 hours.
So sorry honey.  I love you!
You know I never was too good at Math.
But – I can spell “perpendicular”.”
*sigh*
Dw was able to get ahold of me from Europe for just a bit.
He said that although he had only slept 45 minutes, he was feeling better.  He said he thought that he was probably so wore out from preaching somewhere around 25 times in 3 weeks.  Now, there’s a thought!
They are now heading to the United States and we are leaving here soon to start the drive to the airport.  The kids are so excited to be taking a trip that will end in seeing Emmy and Daddy!!

Praying safety and wellness for all of you!

  2. Glad that he is feeling better! I know that no matter how many hours it is, you all will be glad to have them home! We continue to pray!

  3. i missed yesterday's post, Linny. So happy that Dw is on his way home! Praying that he gets that much needed rest and feels better soon!

  4. Praise God that Dwight is feeling better. We will continue to pray for his return to full health, a safe and super quick trip home, and that you all will have a safe trip to pick them up!

  5. i was so happy to happened to have logged onto facebook right when Dw posted that. Ellie and i stood in the kitchen and prayed for him. i LOVE how God allows us to lift each other up any time!

  6. Grateful that DW is feeling better. Been praying through the day and night – woke up thinking of you guys, each quiet moment, doing laundry – whatever, been prayin'. God has much planned for him. Satan may think he can kill, steal and destroy but, no, not here, not now 'cause Jesus reigns.

  7. Thank you for the update – and so thankful your dear hubby is feeling better. I hope they are home by now…..or will be soon. I know they have got to be completely exhausted. My prayers continue for "feeling better" – and safe travels. Signed – one of the Knee Team :)))

  8. oh my heart be still…thank You Lord for Your faithfulness and power, healing and refreshing, blessing and loving this precious family back all together! Can't wait to hear they are safely home, sound asleep! Nobody has earned more blissful sleep then those two (& you…you made it through 3 weeks! Awesome job!!) i think the 18 hours idea refreshed and spurred them on as they traveled! "Yes, we can do 18 more hours" By the time they realized it was a tad more, they were nearly home (kinda) but on their way nonetheless and home ever closer!! Purposeful math i'd say from the Lord! i know i kept saying…only 18 more hours…what a privilege to pray for all of you! oh Bless this time Father…bless this sweet sweet time! Praising Him for the great things He has done through all of you! Hurray, they are almost home!<3
