Two Little Orphans and Two Mighty Big Needs

Just two quick prayer requests before I call it a day.
Emma wrote a post about a tiny little baby girl
named Daniella.
Daniella was left at the baby home just about when the team arrived.
I am not allowed to post pictures, but she is absolutely beautiful, yet malnourished beyond words.
{I have never seen anything like it.}
She weighed 6 pounds when she arrived at the Baby Home
and was guessed to be just under a YEAR old.
Daniella has been unable to keep food down so Dw has been willing to stay up all night with her to feed her every 15 minutes.   He has been able to find others to do this.
She needs to eat every 15 minutes in order to keep anything down.
Let me tell you, my husband is smitten
with little Miss Daniella.
Our limited conversations have been even shorter:  “I have to run down to the baby home to see my Daniella.  I want to feed her a few times.”  {Love that man of mine – not many 56 year olds smitten with a little barely alive baby girl, who had apparently been basically starved to death since birth} especially enough to stop what they’re doing to run and feed her many times a day while leading a team of 22!  I think that might be called a bit Radical.
He has been to the director
{who loves Daniella and
the rest of the babies very much}
to see what else can be done.
Dw asked if there were any tests that
he could take her to the hospital for.
So at this very moment, which
will be 8am Wednesday morning
in Kampala he is taking
Daniella to the hospital for a brain scan.
There is a concern that there is water on her brain.
Will you please join us in pleading with the Lord for her healing?  And that there would be much grace as she endures the testing.  Dw is pretty tickled that he gets to be the one to take his girl for the tests.
Also,
In China, at Morning Star Foundation there is alot of need for prayer.
Some new babies are very sick due to the heart
conditions they have.
One died over the week-end.
Another little guy is sooo desperately sick and in crucial need to be in the hospital.  His life is fragile, hanging in the balance.  He needs medical care in the hospital, but at the moment there is no money for that.   Isn’t he beautiful??
Could we join together, please, to pray for these treasures on different continents, but all precious to God and all created with a very special purpose?
Almighty God is more than able to heal.  He is faithful.  He is merciful.  He loves the orphan far more than all of us combined.
~thank you~

  1. Praying. Praying for the little one in China and Praying for Daniella. Praying for God's wisdom for their care and for healing. Also praying for DW and the team!
    Knees Team,
    Sandi

  2. Agreeing in prayer with you all! Trusting in our God, who is the Defender of the orphan and who loves them dearly, to bring their needs to the attention of those who can impact them and to help them find favor. Trusting He will supply all their needs, according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

  3. I have been burdened and praying for the babies at MSF all morning. I will add sweet Daniella to my prayers. Thanks for sharing. Seeing a man with such a heart for the orphans is about the sweetest ever! We are blessed!
