72 Hour Prayer Vigil Spreadsheet

Joni, I never knew such a thing existed.
Thank you sooo much for doing this for us.
I told, Bob, Karl’s dad what you had done and he started to cry.  Really folks, if you have never had a traumatic accident close to home, it might be hard to understand the significance or the deep feelings of appreciation that people you don’t even know care.
We have been so overwhelmed and that word wouldn’t even begin to describe the feelings and emotions flowing through us all.
Would it be possible for someone to take the people who have committed to pray off of the Facebook post on my profile and add them to the spreadsheet?
{I would be so grateful if someone out there could do that.}
If you did not see the spreadsheet in the comment section of the post from last night, then please check to see if your name is filled in at the spot where you said you would pray. {Click on link below.  We are asking for people to sign up to pray for *at least* a one hour period for the next 72 hours.  Joni updated the spreadsheet till the last comment at 8:36am this morning.}
I just spent about 20 minutes with Karl.  Praying softly over him while resting my hand on his arm.  Autumn was with me.  She was tending to him and rubbing his arm.
The look on Autumn’s face breaks this mama’s heart.
Early this morning Autumn had an idea.  She asked a friend to go to WalMart to buy neon index cards and Sharpies so people could write scripture verses on them and then post them on his cabinets across from where Karl is lying.  That way, when he wakes up he will see the promises and comforting words of Almighty God posted.
Many of you have written scriptures in the comments
and I am going to be writing those on
the neon cards {with your name} that Autumn had brought here.
Anyway, please, please, please check the spreadsheet.
I will continue to post updates to Twitter
{on the sidebar}
and through blog posts.
Thank you for praying with us for Karl’s complete healing, that all the earth will see the wondrous works of our Miracle-working, Mountain-moving, Awe-inspiring, Gasp-giving God.
He is always faithful – our rock and refuge.

  6. Linny I am not on the spreadsheet for a specific time….I just keep praying as God brings him to mind, and He keeps bringing Karl to mind so I keep praying.
    Sending you love and a good squeezy hug

  7. Linny, I am praying continuously, and will do so until Karl is awake and doing well…….13.5 years ago our son was in an accident on Christmas morning, his friend was driving and suffered from the same type of injury that Karl has. We went to the hospital immediately and went again a few hours later to see Andy. His head was swollen beyond recognition, the entire situation was something that I can't describe. Andy's dad had a heart attack at the scene of the accident and was also in intensive care along with his son. The ending of this story is that Andy recovered and went on to study at a culinary institute, the only reminder of the accident is that part of one ear is missing. Miracles do happen, with prayer.

  8. Oh, Linny. I don't where I have been that I hadn't seen this. My eyes are tearing as read every post about Karl. I am praying and will be. Our God SAVES!!

    "Lord my God, I called to your for help, and you healed me." Psalm 30:2

    "Your ways, God, are holy. What god is as great as our God?" Psalm 77:13

    Praying for complete healing for Karl
    God Bless

  9. Hi Linny. WOW, what a spreadsheet of people! and such a great idea!
    we're just finishing up our 1st hour and came to check for any updates. (are we meant to check off the list or is it just for record?)

    When praying my husband read the story of the faith of the Roman Guard in Matt 8 to me, where Jesus tells him go back home, because you believed it HAS happened… we just believe karl IS healed and we snatch that with both hands! Amen

    Also can we share Psalm 121 with you guys – I felt this particularly for Autumn right now,

    Will check later x

  10. Linny, Karl hasn't been far from my mind. I have been praying for him as much as I can.

    Many years ago I nearly lost my brother in a car accident when his car flipped and his head went through the side and back window. He nearly died and though he has some facial and shoulder paralysis 17 years later, he is leading a full active life with a wife and two kids and is a supervisor at his workplace.

    I also lost a step sister to a very traumatic car accident about 3.5 years ago. She hit black ice at wrapped around a tree. She had also been in a very serious car accident 7 years before that with traumatic head injuries.

    There is nothing like knowing you are being lifted up at a time when you yourself know not even what to pray or say or do. Comforting to know others have you and your family in the palm of their hands lifting you before the Almighty. It sure was a blessing to our family and I know this will be to you, yours and Karl's family.

    Praying for Victory!!

  11. Praying, Praying, Praying for all of you. There really are no words that I can say other than I AM PRAYING WITH ALL MY HEART. Thank you for keeping us posted on specific prayers.

  12. Linny,
    I continue to pray for Karl and your sweet Autumn. Love the spreadsheet! I signed up for specific times too but will continue to pray randomly through out the day as I am running around. God is amazing and he works in mysterious ways!! May his healing hands touch Karl and give him the gift of a life full of love here on earth!!

    Blessings and hugs,
    Jody

  13. I updated the spreadsheet with the FB signups. Like many others, I'm so moved to see all those names gathered from all over the world on Karl's behalf! Continuing to pray. Our God IS mighty to save!

  14. Thanking the Lord about his temp.

    Thinking of you all and praying for Karl each time I'm reminded of him.

    Psalms 62:1 Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.

  15. Praying for Karl. God keeps him on my mind and in my heart. All of you have my heartfelt wishes and love. the verse that I use in these times is Phil. 4:6,7: "do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

  16. I just took a look at the spreadsheet… Wowie zowie! So amazing how every hour is covered, and by so many different people! AWESOME!

    God continues to bring Karl and all of you to my mind, and so I keep bringing him & you before the Throne… while teaching a violin class this afternoon, during a rehearsal, while driving, doing stuff around my house, etc, etc, etc!

    Keep praying that God will bring all of you to our minds constantly, because HE IS DOING IT, and WE ARE PRAYING!!!

    Love you all,
    ~Sharon

  17. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the LORD, and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you, declares the LORD, and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile." (Jeremiah 29:11-14)

    "Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence? If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast." (Psalm 139:7-10)

  18. I do not have a certain time that I can commit to but I will let you know I have prayed often all day long and yesterday as soon as I read your post, something (GOD) told me to go read up on you and you had just posted it moments before I got online! I am in prayer now and will continue through the night, HOWEVER, does Karl know how very very very blessed he is to be "in" your family???!!! He has the WORLD on his side praying for him every minute of the day and WE have all seen the miracles that happen on this blog and we are about to add another one!! PRAISE GOD!!! Mountains are moving, Miracles WILL happen and He will get past this…..I just found this verse on another blog and it hit me! I hope you can post this in his room and make sure all of you read this often! We love your family.

    May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.
    2 Thessalonians 1:2

  19. The spreadsheet is terrific! Thank you Joni for putting it together. I spent the past hour in prayer for Karl and will pray at that time each night. I pray that the Lord shows us His mighty healing power and shows Autumn and Karl's family, friends and loved ones His peace that surpasses all understanding. I can't believe that the Lord would take another loved one from Autumn especially during the same month and by the same means. I pray that He has another plan for Karl and Autumn in this. Love and hugs from Massachusetts. Praying each time I think of Karl in addition to my set one hour a day. – Charissa
