  1. The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him,
    And delivers them. Psalm 34:7

    I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
    My God, in Him I will trust.” He shall cover you with His feathers,
    And under His wings you shall take refuge;
    His truth shall be your shield and buckler. Psalm 91:2, 4

    Praying for Karl right now! ~Bethany

  2. I'm praying "all of the time" for Karl, but was unable to find my name on the spreadsheet for the time I submitted. It isn't a problem – but I wanted to let you know I will be praying from Noon-1:00 tomorrow, Tuesday, 7/19, in Missouri, CST. I'm praying without ceasing as I go about my business all day, and when I wake up during the night – but I will be on my knees for that specific hour tomorrow. Our God is able !!! Praying in Missouri………..

  3. On my knees…praying…fasting…oh Lord…please please touch him…heal him…thank You! Please be with his parents, brothers, Autumn, Linny, DW and all that are involved. Please give them strength to endure, please give them Your Peace, Your Presence, Your Mercy and Love. We thank you Lord for what You are doing. In Jesus Name…Amen

    Praying unceasingly…!

  4. Here is a verse close to my heart for the 3×5 card: Philippians 4:7 "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Sending my constant prayers, and love.

  5. One of my favorite things:

    One day I was crossing a bridge with God. I was so scared and asked GOD, “…Can I hold your hand so I won’t fall into the river?”

    GOD said, “No my child, I should hold your hand…”

    You asked, “What’s the difference?”

    GOD replied, “If you hold my hand and something happens, you might let go. If I hold your hand, no matter what happens, I’ll never let go….”

  6. It was 2:00 pm. I knew my time to pray for Karl was not yet, but I felt to say a little prayer anyway. I said a prayer for him and then work got so busy and before I knew it, it was 4:00! I was so thankful God put it on my heart to offer my prayer at that time, as I could not have known work would become suddenly so busy. I wanted to share that because it was a testimony to me that we are not pleading for God to do something He doesn't want to. He is on our side. 🙂 He is on Karl's side.

    Praying for him, your family, his family…I will be praying again at 2:30 tomorrow (Tuesday). I see all the times are taken, but I don't think there can be TOO many prayers at one time. 🙂 Lots and lots of love and prayers to you all.

    OH! And thank you so very much for taking the time to post. I know it is probably the LAST thing you want to be doing, but I really appreciate the updates. 🙂

  7. Going to pray now about the shunt reading and wisdom for doctors and for angels to minister to Karl and peace for Autumn and everyone.

    I was looking at the picture of Autumn with Karl, they look so sweet together.

  8. Praying that the shunt reading would normalize quickly and that the sedation vacation would go well.

    I am not on the prayer sheet for some reason but am praying tomorrow from 10am-11am your time.

  9. "Be still, and know that I am God!"
    Psalm 46:10

    In prayer. . . JESUS says, "I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them." Matthew 18:19,20
    And JESUS also says, "I am leaving you with a gift-peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid."
    John 14:27

    We love you.

  10. Still Praying. Karl's name came to mind a lot yesterday and everytime I lifted him up in prayer. Will be doing the same today and especially at my lunch. Noon EST.
    Praying for you all.

  12. The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him, but with an overwhelming flood he will make an end of Nineveh; he will pursue his foes into the realm of darkness. – Nahum 1:7-8 (NIV)

  16. A verse for this morning…

    The LORD’S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I have hope in Him.” (Lamentations 3:22-24)

  17. Continuing to pray constantly throughout the day. Praying for wisdom for the doctors, peace for your family and his, for Karl's complete healing…and for Autumn…precious, precious, Autumn. How my heart breaks for what she is going through. God, give her strength to endure this trial. Lots of love from Maryland,

    Heather

  18. Praying for Karl. As a word of encouragement… I've been through a brain trauma injury as well, at a similar age. Although I didn't have the lung damage, I did have a depressed skull fracture (and a shaved head with 68 stitches!). I had lots of prayer for me (though I don't think nearly as much as Karl is being blessed with) and it took a while, but I was able to pull through. I was mostly unconscious for about 12 days following the accident, and then it took 2-3 months of intensive recovery. However, the accident occurred in the spring, and by fall I was able to return to college. A good while later, I have no large lasting effects. Just wanted to offer you hope for the long recovery Karl will be facing- it's worth it and he will come back. As he's healing, if you have questions about recovering from brain injuries, please feel free to contact me! (Sometimes it gets discouraging.) We'll keep praying for his full recovery.
