Waiting

I just had to do a quick blog post to thank everyone for praying.
We are sitting waiting for word on how
it went trying to wake him in
what they call a “sedation vacation”.
Waiting is the worst.
Don’t ya’ think?
All of your comments via the blog and Facebook help to buoy us.
Really, it is hard to put into words how much it means to
know people around the world care about our heartache.
We should be hearing from the doctors soon.
My stomach does flip flops every time I think about
them walking out to say they are ready to update.
Please keep praying.
I keep checking to see who is praying at any
given hour on the vigil.   To know you each are interceding on Karl’s behalf….only tears.
Thank you so much.

  1. Linny – we are here…..we are praying……we aren't going anywhere. Praying for Karl from Missouri…….praying without ceasing. Our precious Heavenly Father, we lift Karl up to you, you are the Great Physician. Thank you for guiding the hands of the doctors and support staff. I pray that you will give added strength to Autumn, Karl's family, Linny and family. I give you the praise and the glory forever, and ever, Amen. WE are ALL here Linny, for Karl – and for each one of you. We will not be moved……we are praying. My Love, Lynne

  2. "God is there, listening for all who pray, for all who pray and mean it. He does what is best for those who fear Him – hears them call out, and saves them." Psalm 145:18-19

  3. Linny, 2 years ago it was discovered that my uncle was very very sick. by the time my mom got to him in vancouver, he was blue and very emaciated. after they got him into the hospital and thouroughly checked him out, he was diagnosed as being in the late stages of aids. over the next 5 weeks, my family spent many hours at his bedside, basically watching him die. we were there when he took his last breath. during this time we had a multitude of people praying with and for us, and sending us notes of encouragement, and that absolutely carried us through the ordeal. I want to tell you what a privilege it is for me to be praying with you during this time.

    love you,
    Sharon

  4. Praying! Doug & I are fasting today and praying for you guys….praying that Karl's mind is perfectly intact and alert. Praying for peace, healing, for His glory to shine out of this brighter than the noonday sun.
    Big hugs,
    Shannon

  5. Continuing in prayer for Karl, Autumn and all of you! We know Jehovah Rapha answers, provides and heals!

"We wait in HOPE for the LORD; he is our help and our shield." Psalm 33:20

"Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear." Isaiah 65:24

These are two scriptures I have held close to my heart for many years as we've prayed through.

    HUGS!! ~Anita

  6. My husband is an 11 year survivor of a massive TBI. He spent a month in a medically induced and trauma induced coma and 3 years intensive therapy. We were not married at the time of the injury, but 5 years later we were and we now have two beautiful girls. I remember being humbled by the number of people who visited and those who prayed for his recovery. He is a walking miracle and I pray the same for Karl. May god protect him and all those who love him while he heals. Blessings to you all!

  7. Continuing in prayer from Texas.

"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." Jeremiah 33:3

    Hugs to all,

    Carol

  8. Linny, I thought the idea of putting Karl's name on our hands was a good one. I have four children adopted from China, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Yesterday I showed them (and my hubby) Karl's picture and told them about him. I put his name on all of our hands and during the day each would comment that they were thinking of/praying for Karl. On the way to summer recreation this morning my 8 year old daughter from China ask me if we could say a prayer for Karl. The boys agreed so we did pray for him and for his family and friends.
God Bless. We will continue praying.

  9. Thank you for posting, we are friends of the Hujus family from years ago. Since we heard about Karl we have been praying praying praying. We were in a similar situation with our son about 5 years ago ~~ so our hearts go out to all in this journey. God is a God of miracles, and our son is a miracle story. We will continue to pray for Karl and each of you. With love and huge hugs from Keith and Diane Rima

  10. Our God is greater, our God is stronger
God You are higher than any other
Our God is Healer, awesome in power
    Our God, Our God…

    Trusting in OUR God…..

  11. I am praying throughout the day for Karl, Autumn, his family and all of you…drs. nurses, staff…
Yesterday a verse came to mind while praying in my time slot…Jeremiah 30:17 "I will give you back your health, and heal your wounds says the Lord." Claiming this for Karl. Surrendering Karl to God's loving hands and HIS plan for his life. Sending hugs and love,to you and yours.

  12. Linny – praying for all of you as you wait. I just signed up for the prayer vigil. May the Lord be glorified as our prayers and worship are constantly before Him.

I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait, And in His word do I hope. Psalm 130:5

The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the person who seeks Him. Lamentations 3:25

"The ability to wait on the Lord stems from being confident and focused on who God is and in what God is doing." excerpt from a sermon I read online

    With Love & Prayers, Christine
