Good Gracious!

I’m soooo sorry.
Barbara and Su!  It never even slightly crossed my mind that folks could take it differently than intended.
I just changed the title to clarify that!
Thank you girlfriends!
Whew!
I was thinking also, for those who are sending a note of encouragement and blessing to Karl, please tell him where you are from.  Adrianna from Europe, you are so right! Karl needs to know that you and all the others are praying for him all over the world.

Thank you so much!
Well I am up and ready to go.
We were already coming to this city today.  It had been scheduled for months.  We turned it into a little girls outing and a visit with Karl, but Jubilee already had some previously scheduled medical appointments.
Yesterday she saw an ear surgeon.  We are moving ahead in the direction of BAHA surgery. The ear surgeon was sooooo nice.  We also saw an audiologist.
Today Jubilee has a sedated MRI {for genetic purposes}, a sedated CT scan and blood work.
She can’t eat and drink, so the challenge is to
distract her till we get to the hospital.
{I know many of you know what it’s like,
 having special needs treasures yourself.}
Jubilee had been wearing a BAHA on a headband, but it was only a loaner and had to be returned.  Felt so cruel to a little girl who has waited for 9 years to hear anything at all.
But finally the day has come and we are able to move in the direction of surgery and so, Lord willing, in the next few months she will have the titanium posts surgically implanted in her skull.   Then a few months later, she will have the second part of the posts implanted also.  And then, finally{!} she will be able to wear the little BAHA hearing devices behind her ears.
So thankful for medical knowledge that will help our little
Jubilee Promise hear.
Off to the hospital!

  1. Praying that all continues to go smoothly so Jubilee can hear once again!!! Thanks for fixed the post title, I admit my heart did a little flip-flop until I kept reading, LOL!! Praise God for miracles, big and small!!!

  2. Oh Linny the BAHA is wonderful! Candie has had hers for two years and because of it she can hear within normal limits on the one side that she has it! We praise God also for technology that brings the gift of hearing to our daughter and to yours!
Blessings to yall…and still praying for Karl!

  3. God is so great! I am just so peacful right now beacause of HIS grace. I just feel like shouting to the whole world. How can you not see how great our God is? We see is miracles every day. I feel like doing a blog post on that…

  4. Hope everything will go well for Jubilee, she's a sweet girl 🙂

And that's great news about Karl eating pizza and salad!!! 😀

    Thank you, Jesus!

  5. Hi Linny,

I love reading your blog – and have been praying for Karl. My son from China has a BAHA, and it makes a big difference for him. It took some getting used to, but he never had the softband BAHA. We're still working on auditory processing issues – his brain has to learn how to process the signals. We're in Denver – I wonder if we have the same surgeon? There are several excellent ones here!
