Sproutin’…

I have been peaking into little Miss Ruby’s mouth
every so often to see if I see any kind of
evidence of teeth hiding out in there.
So far nothing.
UNTIL…
This morning I just happened to peek and
surprise!
She has her first tooth coming in.
Only thing is that it is not a bottom tooth –
It’s one of her top ones!
All the other kids of ours got their teeth on the bottom first.
Anyone out there in blog land have the top ones come in first?
I’d never heard of it although I’m sure they can come in any way they want…but…
it looks like it should be through soon….
and today she has been drooling like crazy.
Emmy and I hadn’t even noticed
her drooling at all before this morning.
Such a fun surprise!
Her first tooth is sproutin’ and we get to watch it!
Tried to post a picture of our little princess,
but the internet connection was too slow.
ugh.
Will try again tomorrow.

  1. My third child had her top two come in first.((HugS)) to you and Em and prayers you all get to come home soon. Still praying for Sarah as well, don't know if I missed an update on her situation and the family who came or not.

  2. My daughter got her bottom two first, but instead of her top middle teeth, her top incisors came in. We called her vampire baby. Can't wait for pictures, love puppy teeth!

  3. Samuel, our son from Taiwan, had his 2 upper teeth when we picked him up but no bottoms. He was opposite too! Then 3 months later he cut 10 teeth all at once! He was miserable, poor baby! So glad you get to enjoy this first with your precious baby girl!

  4. I love watching little ones get their first teeth 😉 How fun! I'm glad God gave you something fun to smile about today.

I got to smile today too because our SW told us we could possibly be foster parents by Thanksgiving!!!

  5. Our youngest son got his top 2nd incisor first! I had never heard of this happening before! He looked like a snaggle tooth at first, but now he has a beautiful toothy smile!!

  6. Yep! Those teeth can come in any old way they want to! 🙂 We have four boys and our youngest is a girl (all biological). The boys all got their first two teeth on the bottom around five months old. Our daughter FINALLY cut her first two on the top, on opposite sides, at 13 months. Yep, they're all different!!

Just wanted to tell you how cute Ruby Grace was in the picture in your last post. Smiles or not, she is a DOLL!! I remember her often as my daughter's name is Rebekah Grace. 🙂

  7. Both of my little ones got their bottom teeth first, too, but I do know that there are some tribes in Africa (and Ethiopia specifically) that believe a babies' top teeth coming in first is a sign of a curse (mingi), and the babies are thrown into the river. So thankful this sweet one has been redeemed by her loving God and placed in YOUR loving arms!!

  8. Both of my boys got their top eye teeth first, then the bottom eye teeth. They had a full set of fangs for over a month before they got any more!

Still praying for both of your princesses!

  9. Our daughter has DS and was adopted at two. She had six teeth and they were all back teeth. Her top front four came in after that and finally the bottom front two but no more since and she is almost three now. They can come in any way! That is exciting though!

  10. My Audra had both of her top teeth in first. She looked adorable! Like a little rabbit, lol!
She has beautiful teeth, and it wasn't a problem!
    Love to you all!
