University of Trials Update

We all know that we life has us all in the University of Trials as we learn and grow and then learn some more.  But there should be a summer break too – right?  We are desperately needing that summer break… I think you all understand.  But as of yet, we must be getting our “Masters” for the extra classes and trials! 🙂

As to Linny she was doing much better on her ankle today.  It was painful, but she was able to walk.  Emma started off our phone conversation when she answered the phone and said, “Mom broke her foot in 5 places.”  “NO Way!” I responded.   Emma insisted for quite some time.  Then she finally laughed and said she was “just kidding”.

Just kidding!!????  Emma I’ve been home without mom for 5 weeks, don’t “kid” dad!!    I will repay saith her Dad!

Linn is still experiencing quite a bit of pain, but is able to keep moving.  She had to walk —  so walk she did.  By evening it was swollen again.  She told me to thank all of you for your prayers as they made a huge difference.

It seems like we are constantly in a battle to get Miss Ruby home.  Several other things have happened which puts more roadblocks in the way.  Someday she will write the story but for now we will continue to “pray through”.   They are just like so many of our other trials – almost beyond comprehension, but the Lord must consider us worthy of the “The Masters” class.

It would appear almost impossible to have Linny come home by the end of next week, unless God breaks through.  Linn asked for you to “please not quit”, but to continue praying till they get home.

Every imaginable and unimaginable roadblock seems to come up.  Every day this next week specific things must happen to enable her to leave.  Pray, pray and fast for her, Emma, and Ruby.

(Linn is at a point where she literally aches to hold our children again.  You moms know what that is like, she hates going anywhere without the kids, I’m blessed for a Friday morning date so you know, this 6 weeks is painful for that momma’s heart.)

We know you continue with us in prayer until Ruby comes home!

Love to all, dwight for Linny Lee

  1. What an amazing and difficult journey this has been to bring Ruby home. Joel and I will keep praying for all your family's needs. United we stand together petitioning the heavens and giving thanks for how God will use this to further your passion for the orphans and for HIS glory.

  2. Oh I am praying, adopting children is not easy and not always fun. But the right thing to do…I pray each day for all four of them. Praying for healing for Linny's ankle too! Praying, praying, praying them HOME by the end of the month! Or sooner 🙂 love you all like brothers and sisters!

  3. Praying in earnest for those 3 girls and I can't help but wonder how things are going with Sarah Jane? Praying that the Lords will is done… and strength for the daddy of the house too:)

  4. God does indeed have a wonderful plan for all of you to share Ruby;s amamzing story sometime. Praying for those roadblocks to move and for Linny and her daughters while they are away and for daddy and the rest of the fmmily at home.

  5. Praying and echoing Renee. What a battle, but what a God. I will pray the miracles come, the obstacles move and you will all be together soon. I know one day when we hear the whole story it will be to His glory and have His handprints all over it. You are lifted up and loved. Lori Florida

  6. I am so sorry that Linny has to keep walking on a swollen ankle, is there some kind of tricycle-connected wagon where tourists can sit and pay the runner/puller? I will pray for one to appear, some kind of transport or for angels to help lift her up while she walks so that not too much weight is on her ankle.

  7. Oh gracious, you know I will continue to pray. We are in our own Masters class right now. We failed it the first time, and it looks like we get a second chance. Thank God for second chances. But this adoption is kicking our hiney's!! Praying with you for all things to align and for you to get the green light and bring your lovely's home. Praying for little precious Ruby to stop vomiting and for the infection to be destroyed.

    love and prayers,
