Movin’ On Up…

Miss Ruby is sleeping and we will be moving
to a room on the floor before long.
The neurologist has come in to talk to us.
Her two very lengthy seizures are cause for serious concern.
They will send us home from the hospital with medicine
that can be administered immediately
should this situation ever happen again.
They told me how to do use it and when to use it too.
We are thankful that the Lord ministered to her life
this morning.
A few minutes ago the nurse said something about 6 o’clock
and I was shocked to see it’s already 6pm.
Crazy.
I would have thought it was about 1pm in the afternoon.
Last night I had written a lengthy post about something that was weighing on my heart.  My thoughts flowed freely and my fingers worked to keep up with them.   One day I will tweak and post.
I finally shut down my computer about 1:30am.  Kind of funny how the urge to write will hit and
suddenly many hours have passed!
Phoenix Children’s staff are some of the dearest people in the world.  We have had {already} many stop in and say ‘hello’
because the grapevine word here travels fast and many, many, many love our little gem oh-so-much.
Anyway, thank you for praying.
They will be watching her closely.
My prayer is that we can go home tomorrow.
Today mommy was gonna’ make
cinnamon rolls {Isaiah’s request}
and have some special fun with the kids.
Lord willing, soon!

  1. (ok, i just typed a comment and it disappeared! computers….lol so, sorry if you get this twice…) oh goodness linny! i know you are so thankful to have so many capable, loving hands caring for your sweet ruby, but i also know the feeling of having to go "back to the floor" again! i am staying with a friend for a little while and her 5 month old foster-in-the-process-of-adopting little boy had rsv and had to be admitted a few weeks ago. he was there for 11 days, came home for one week, and had to go back for another 7 days due to the effects of some of the meds he was on. not fun! and those little rooms can make a girl go stir crazy when you're there for very long! 🙂 so i'm praying that ruby is well enough to go home very soon and that you get to make those cinnamon rolls and spend some good mommy time with your other sweethearts tomorrow!! 🙂

  2. Praying and praying! May God hold sweet Ruby Grace in the palm of His hand and keep her safe. May He uphold you and your family in the midst of all that is happening. What a year you've had, these last 12 months and more.

  3. Sending up prayers for Ruby and family. I know how scary it can be to watch your little one have seizures. I truely believe God has big things in store for Ruby.

  7. Oh sweet friend, please know that I have been praying for your precious Ruby treasure and for her mama–and for Dw and Emma and all involved in the conference kicking off. May the Lord keep His mighty hand upon each of you day and night, and may He bring healing to Ruby Grace, in Jesus name, Amen!

    Love you friend,

  8. I love you and the way you go to your knees first, passionately expecting God's perfect answers to your prayers. I'm thankful you're faithful to write about it because your words are spurring others on to look at God as the One who is overjoyed to hear us and respond with miracles.
    He IS faithful!

  10. Continuing to pray for Ruby and your family. So glad they gave you medicine to administer at home. We carry ours with us whenever we are going to be away. Our youngest daughter has had several seizures. We are very thankful she hasn't had any for a year.

Praying so hard for Ruby Grace! I hope her little body settles down quickly. I know you must have been so scared during all of that. Praying!

  12. Praying for your sweet baby and the family. It is so tough on the whole family when a family member is hospitalized. I awoke last night with a strong urge to pray for you – I guess I went to bed thinking of you and precious Ruby.

  15. Praying for God to heal sweet little Ruby. Knowing that even in the trauma, He holds her dear little life in His hands. How very scary that must have been for you. Remembering y'all in my prayers and hoping Ruby will be sprung to go home very soon.
