Tuesday

A couple of days ago I mentioned a painful season
 I am currently walking through.
As I was writing that post, I struggled.  Did I really want to share the reality of my heart being in such pain?  As I weighed the possibility of sharing or not sharing, I clearly sensed the Lord saying, “Share it Linny.  This is going to minister to many others Linny.  There are many hurting people stopping by our Place Called Simplicity.”
Yes, our loving Heavenly Father knows your cares as
well as mine.
And your responses confirmed what He was confiding to me.
Some of you sent texts, some wrote Facebook messages and still others wrote emails.  All sharing your own personal struggles or that you, too, were in a painful season.
Anyway,
We have had some powerful days of prayer and fasting
here over the last two years.
And we have seen God move some mighty ginormous mountains.
Mountains that man said couldn’t and wouldn’t move.
BUT GOD.
Almighty God says that nothing is too difficult for Him.
And when He uses the word
“nothing”
He means
N.O.T.H.I.N.G.
So….
Maybe you have a health need.
An adoption need,
financial need,
marital need,
relationship need,
a broken heart,
a hurting soul,
a troubled mind,
a loss,
a burden,
a flailing faith,
the ache of loneliness,
a mountain that needs moving,
a miracle that you have been contending for,
some of the above
or
all of the above.
Let’s bear each other’s burdens.
Let’s collectively cast our cares upon Him.
Let’s hold each others arms up.
Let’s pray for one another.
Maybe you can fast with us.
Many of you have recently learned the importance of fasting.
Would you join with us?

Day of Prayer and Fasting
here.
On Tuesday
{just after midnight}
I will post a blogpost that will allow you to
comment and ask for prayer for whatever
your need/care/concern is.
Then many, around the world, will pray over your need.
We have seen many answers to many of the prayers.
Please consider joining with us on Tuesday.
In fact, if you have seen God move after a day of Prayer and Fasting here at our Place Called Simplicity, would you be willing to write a brief paragraph about what you asked for prayer for on one of our days of prayer and fasting and just how God answered?  I would like to take some of them and use
them in the post on Tuesday.
Please email me your stories at:
APlaceCalledSimplicity@yahoo.com

Please put this in the subject line:
God Moved After Day of Prayer and Fasting
Those who hang out around here truly
care about whatever it is you are going through.
And we look forward to praying for you.
Tomorrow we will have another Memorial Box Monday story.
Please consider stopping by and being reminded of the faithfulness of God.  And please, if you are able, post a story tomorrow of God’s faithfulness in your life, it will encourage so many others!

  1. Abba always seems to have you call for a day of prayer and fasting when I've been thinking about planning to set a day aside myself. 🙂 Count me in on Tuesday. <3 And probably count me in for a MBM story tomorrow, too. 🙂

  2. Tomorrow is a big day for us. I won't be able to fast tomorrow, but would so appreciate the prayers of those who are able. My five year old has pain in her body that no conventional doctor has been able to diagnose, so we will go to a homeopathic doctor tomorrow in Atlanta, about 4 hours from our house. She's been struggling with this for almost 3 years now. After that, our family of four (we have another daughter who is 3) will be getting on a plane to go to Eastern Europe to bring home our third daughter…an almost one year old baby girl with down syndrome! We will be gone for around 6 weeks. My husband will be there for three or so, and then I will have the girls for the last three weeks and bring all three girls home on my own. So, tomorrow is a huge beginning for us! I feel completely at peace, and that God is carrying us now. I'm a firstborn of a firstborn…so I usually worry about everything. This whole process has been so amazing, I've been able to really trust God for all of our funding, travel, and other things. Maybe when we get back I can share more!

  3. I'll be "there"!

I am also in need of prayer. I am supposed to have my gall bladder removed and it couldn't happen soon enough but now I'm not so sure! The pain has subsided and the knot in my back seems to be gone. I don't want to have surgery if the Lord has already taken care of it!!! But, I also don't want to have to start over in 6 months if it acts up again. AND, God is really moving in my husband. He is supportive of what God is calling me to (for the most part) but doesn't feel the same pull. My prayer is that if I am to go and do what God has laid heavily on my heart that He would throw open the doors and make a way big time!! Thanks Sheri

  4. YES! Thank You Jesus- You DO move mountains! Again and Again for Your glory!!! Love you Linny and Saunders family! Praying for you guys and that everyone puts on the WHOLE armor! (Ephesians 6:10-20)

  5. P.S.- Tomorrow is the first day of Spring! Thank You Jesus— Have a blessed day in THIS day and be encouraged harvests will be reaped!

    Galatians 6:7-10:

"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. AND LET US NOT GROW WEARY WHILE DOING GOOD, FOR IN DUE SEASON WE WILL REAP IF WE DO NOT LOSE HEART. Therefore, as we have the opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith."

  6. Count me in, I will be praying and fasting too!
This was much needed after my special prayer request just a few days ago. Thank you, Linny.

  7. God doesn't miss a beat! I am a lurker. It's true. I confess. I jsut sent you an email prior to reading this asking for prayer. I had a severe panic attack last week and am very fearful to return to school. (I am a teacher and it happened at school.) I will return on Wednesday – what a great way to prepare.

    I'm in!
