Tonight’s the Night

Tonight is the night that channel 15 is airing Ruby’s story.  It airs at 5pm.  We’ve been told that we will get a copy and we’ve also been told it will be available on You Tube.  We’ll see.  If possible, I will post so you guys can see.

They came out to interview us in hopes that we would put a little plug in for the help that Phoenix Children’s has been for our Ruby.  They are doing a telethon and the story will be aired again tomorrow as we understand it.

Susan, the news anchor kept saying to her camera man, “We definitely will need more time for this story!” Pretty cool.

All along our  prayer has been that every bit of Ruby’s story will be used by Almighty God to soften hearts to the plight of the orphans and vulnerable children locally and globally.  Which when our hearts want the orphan’s story to be told – God will definitely make a way – even if He uses the hospital that did the surgeries to provide the avenue!

  1. Linny,
My girls and I watched this video 4 x's. We had printed off Ruby's picture and put it on our fridge when you first learned about her. We've been praying for her ever since and we've watched her story unfold on your blog. The video was just an extra special treat for us! We had such a sweet Bible study time after that and talked about our own adoption process (as we're waiting to bring home treasure(s) from Ethiopia right now) and talked about how God's plan for our lives might look very different from the world's. Nothing made this mama's heart happier than my 5 year old telling me, "Mama, the most important thing is to love God, tell others about Him, and to care for orphans." So THANK you for being so open about your story. This family is being blessed because of it!
