Whew

Today we were able to take Dw, Graham and Liberty to see the house I submitted the offer on.

I still can’t believe I did it without him.

I realized I should of had it on my “bucket list”….

You know something like:

727.  Put an offer in on a new family home while sweet hubby is away for 3 days.

haha.

Anyway, they love, love, loved it!

Like totally and completely LOVED it.

Whew.

We all have the kind of anticipation that is “we’re over the moon, can we move in today?” kind of joy!

Dw and I walked about picturing the kids playing all over the place, us sitting outside viewing the stars late at night, and all of us swimming in the pool.

Did I mention it has a sweet pool?

And did I also mention it’s a ranch and completely wheelchair accessible for Ruby-girlfriend?

{And all our other friends who need it to be!}

And when Dw saw the garage with the enormous work bench {his version of a man cave} he was giddy.

Graham came up with the first woodworking project they would do at the work bench:  build a guitar together.

How sweet is that?

Even Isaiah keeps saying, “Okay, so how does the whole money thing work?” Seriously, this kid is not going to miss anything and he wants to understand e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g.

Ruby, honestly, seemed to understand that this is a pretty special place as we walked about….she was smiling so contentedly.

Get this!  You know the flowering bush I posted that the home has?  Well I was overjoyed to see there is some in the backyard as well!!

So we wait, semi-patiently.

Okay, true confessions.

Not very patiently at all.

Ya’ know how you love something so much and want it so bad you can almost ‘taste’ it?

Well, quite honestly, the thought of it being our family home is completely beyond delicious!

Praying and munching on Oreo’s and eating Hershey’s while we wait.  Praying that the calories don’t stick too.  haha.

  1. So super duper excited for you!!! Praising the Lord! And I saved your blog for last again today and it was worth it. I will walk away from my computer with a smile on my face and praises in my heart.

  2. Can't wait to see pictures! And also glad the rest of the family liked it just as much as you do! Hope your move-in day is VERY soon…..waiting is just SO hard, and it doesn't seem to get any easier with age. 🙂

  3. How exciting! We will pray with you that His will be done! He loves to give us the desires of our hearts when they fit into the plan He has for us. May your heart be encouraged knowing you are truly waiting on Him!

  4. I only glanced at the pic of the red bush, but I think it was Lantana. I have several and some of mine are red, I love the red ones and was happy they were at this house, too!
    Congrats!

  5. You're right, fouroclockquilts…the bush is a Lantana! So pretty!! We used them for one of my son's wedding in hanging pots. Linny–Can't wait to see this wonderful house that will soon be titled "HOME"!

  6. I'm very happy for you all. Our Father God loves to show off for His children just because He loves us!!! And nobody in your pool will ever disrespect the other guy/girl!!!

  7. Yippee Jesus! So very awesome to see how where your simple act of faith has led you! Thanking God for showing me these things through your families life. Janet

  8. Linny,

God is in all the details… He will move mountains to bring you into this sweet home…. for He loves you and will provide for your every need… We once prayed for our first home in the UK but only had a budget of 77,000 pounds – it was our first home as a married couple. We also prayed that it would be in a certain town and on a certain street….with a view of Salisbury cathedral! houses were selling within hours of going on the market… every realtors office almost laughed at the money we had, but the last one tucked at the rear of the town was my last hope for that day, I was discouraged but God always saves the best for last! They told me that they had a house just about to be put on the market on the street and town we had prayed for, with a cathedral view… I asked the price 77,000 pounds.. we saw it that day and bought it…. God is sooo very good… He is in all the details and His provision knows no bounds… when we come to the ends of ourselves He steps in… He will provide Linny… cannot wait to see photos!!!!

  9. Praying it's the house for you and that your other house sells and other details go swell. I know it's hot there and pools are in many backyards. A must for a family, I'm sure. How fun and we know that God has the details in hand and knows what you need. Every day, every moment. Hugs and blessings!

    1. I monitor all comments and DEFINITELY read them…it's always fun to hear from bloggy friends…and yes{!} I finally learned the name…the crazy thing is that on our daughter Emma, who is the missionary now to Uganda, has a Lantana on her front lawn – just like our home here – how cool is that?? I love the dark gold/rusty red variety the most…they are stunning in my humble opinion. Do you live in the desert too?
