“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”
Psalms 34:18 niv
The senseless loss of innocent life is unexplainable. There are no words. Our hearts grieve with the victims, their families, the theatre employees, the rescue workers, hospital staffs and the community of Denver/Aurora at large. We also pray for the law enforcement as they continue to work at sifting through the pieces to this tragedy.
There is no vacation from the reality of our wicked world. How sickened we are and oh how we are praying. {Aurora is where the Children’s Hospital of Denver is located.}
Linny, This took me right back to Columbine and even though we didn't live here then the loss hit us as hard. May the Lord, rich in mercy, cover all that were impacted but such a tragedy.
I need to get some info on Durango so will be emailing you soon.
Hugs, Noreen
What a beautiful post. I was thinking about that verse before I heard about the movie tragic events in Colorado. Praying for all that were touched with this tragic time.
My family and I are at a loss for words today. Totally unthinkable and heartwrenching actions. It hits so close to home for us as well. That theater is not 10 minutes away from where we used to live (we have lived in TX for the past 4 years). We used to go to that theater all the time, and my brother actually worked there for a few years before we moved. So very sad. Our hearts and prayers are with the victims and their families.
What a sad situation indeed. My daughter said, criminal minds indeed! Praying for the families involved. Thanks for sharing!
linny i have read your blog forever. I just am struggling with one of our adopted kids, big stuff, rage, anger, dangerous with her mouth as she spews. I'm wondering what help you recommend. I've done the created to connect seminar and we have started a support group. I'm scared and desperate. Any ideas? JESUS!!
Praying with you. So very sad.
It's unthinkable. And devastating. So grateful that He is faithful and merciful in the midst of it all.
I am praying too! Here in Montrose Colorado most of the flags are at half mast. A most vivid reminder of no vacation from a very wicked world that needs JESUS!!! Janet
