Surprises

Wow.

You, my bloggy friends, are such a blessing – showering me with so many surprises!
Emma’s Virtual Surprise Birthday Party was, indeed, a complete surprise.  I laughed and got all teary when I saw that I had been hacked.  Thank you Emmy!  That was just way too fun!  You are so thoughtful and I will re-read all the comments {and probably print them out as well} for years to come.
I have been so abundantly blessed as I read all the comments here, on Facebook and in the emails and messages so many of you sent me.  Thank you so much!

And if all 700+ who left comments, emails, messages, FB comments were hiding in my bushes I would have surely fainted straight away!  No doubt, our lovely Homeowner’s Association would have been in a big fuss too!  haha.

To those who de-lurked an extra big thank you for your bravery.  Pretty proud of you!
Who knew celebrating the 15th anniversary of my 39th birthday could be such fun?

My day was simple and sweet….spent with my treasures relaxing….and to me there is nothing better…

Can you see Ruby signing that she’s thirsty?

Emma made pumpkin bars with crumb topping for breakfast in bed…surrounded by my 9 treasures at home..{Nehemiah’s first birthday to observe since he’s been home – he thinks celebrating birthdays around here is pretty spectacular}…coffee out back on our patio {ahhh, such a blessing to live in Phoenix and have coffee outside on my birthday – instead of blustery snow or freezing temps!}

Lunch of snacky stuff outside on the patio again – so easy and so fun to just be family – together.

A few afternoon hours in the car for all of us {except Graham who had to work} spent doing something that needed to be done….

Home for a yummy meal…
And opening presents…which included….
Emma had managed to get free tickets for three of us {Liberty went too} to Romeo and Juliet at the Opera in Phoenix for the night after my birthday.  {There are some extra sweet perks to Uncle Dan being the assistant conductor at the Met in NYC.}
off to Romeo and Juliet performed by the Arizona Opera Company

Graham put together the funnest video ever of all my treasures and grand-treasures each individually wishing me a Happy Birthday and saying a few words…a beautiful blessing!  From oldest to youngest…
Thank you all so very, very, very much for making my day so extra-ordinary.

I feel so loved.

I am, indeed, an extremely blessed mama.  How thankful I am for the Lord’s ever-present faithfulness in my life.  Out of all the ashes early in my life, He alone has brought such joy.  How I praise His name!
