Admitting “IT”

A couple of months ago I eluded to something that Dw and I had done that was really, really stupid.

Somehow we like to think {or at least pretend} that by the time we have silver hair we just have pretty much gotten rid of the dumbness.

Well, fyi, no matter the color of your hair or the lack thereof, we are all capable of doing really dumb stuff.

And so it was….

And here we are….admitting it….

  1. Okay- i don't get it BUT that's not unusual- I often don't get it…

However! We also do incredibly stupid things!

    Over and over again…

BUT let's take a positive spin on this!
We are forward thinkers! We think of what can be NOT what might be!
We love passionately and serve diligently not really looking at the outcome…

Well, I look forward to figuring it out AND I'm sure HE will forgive you AND make HIS GOOD come out of it!

That's pretty much what happens with us!
    ALL
    THE
    TIME!
    Thank you Jesus!

    1. It's NOT a game – they're moving boxes…yes, we are movign…we stupidly bought the home we are in…have kicked ourselves ever since…decided to cut our losses, put it on the market and here we go again…5 months later…moving a family of 11. ugh. ugh. ugh.

  2. OK – well – that was vague (at least to me!). Suffice to say that if there were awards for "stupid" I'd have a wall full – OK – many walls full!

    hugs – aus and co.

    1. I have giggled and giggled since reading your comment about the wall full {or many}….so we're not alone in the silver haired stupid department, huh? Comforting, to say the least. I was really not trying to be mysterious in the photo…I had no clue that it was too vague…We're moving…again..after only moving in 5 months ago to the home we {stupidly} bought…it's sold and we're outta here.

  3. I was trying to figure out what you could have squashed by putting hangers in an upside down box that should have been filled from the top. So…..where are you moving to?????

  4. Well I was trying to figure out what you might have squashed by putting hangers in an upside down box that should have been filled from the other end…..

So, where are you moving to???

  5. Hehe, isn't it funny how your brain is all moving so it seems so obvious to you? To the rest of us, we are like, "hmmm, what is Linny talking about?!?" I just assumed you haven't unpacked all your boxes yet! 🙂

  6. I had to come back and read the comments because I just didn't get it either. I actually thought that maybe you had been looking for that missing box of hangers. 🙂
But now I'm even more confused. I thought you guys were in love with this house…wrote a letter to the sellers in a prayer that they would pick you to purchase it and they did. I must have missed something. :-/

  7. Sorry that it hasnt worked for you, but hope and pray that the new place is right.

Just a query…..I offered to gift Em with some things for her trip, but havent heard back, so maybe she has everything she needs now?

  8. oh! hugs, peace, grace and patience to you, friend!! we move every 2 years….i can't imagine 4 times in one year. love you! i'd be over to help every night after our kiddos were tucked in if i could!

    1. My precious friend, I know you would. Your heart is so huge. So thankful for the prayers of my friends. The end is in sight. Just a few more things to move…and then to unpack it all!

  9. Oh sweet friend, although not all our decisions are the right ones, God uses each and every one to grow us and remind us that HE is faithful! I am sorry that you need to pack up once again. But look on the bright side….each time provides a beautiful opportunity to clean out and deprives us of our inclinations to be pack rats:) We are praying to be able to sell our home, and move into something older to reduce mortgage payments and be able to bring more treasures home!! In HIS timing and according to HIS perfect plan. Praying for peace and grace as you enter this next adventure!!

  10. Aww…I'm sorry Linny! Boy do I understand! It's okay though, because God is waaay bigger than any mistake we've ever made or will make!!! Trusting that God will use this for good may be tough, but it's clear in Gods word that He will!!! He saw this coming…and He's not surprised!!! May I ask….where are you moving to?

  11. What did I miss? Why was the house a mistake? I thought you loved it? I have been missing in action for a bit..we too just moved 🙁 I feel your pain! PRAYING!! Hope you find peace and comfort in your next home!

  12. Linny,
I am sorry it did not work out. Glad you were able to sell it and move on. Remember, if we just sit and don't do anything, what kind of life would that be? At least you are forward thinking people and living for God. And yes, some of our ideas just don't pan out. I lived in New York for 10 months and moved back. Thought it would work out but it didn't Lost a lot of money doing it but life happens. Good luck on your move.

  13. Hmmm…well, Linny…I'm either in the vague blond class, or the old I-have-Alzheimer's class. Cuz I was clueless, too! 🙂 BUT…my immediate thought was "what, they packed Bethy & Jubi in a box, and didn't realize it?" Which of course makes no sense, and having met you I realize you would NOT do, even in your wildest moments LOL!!!! Moving again??? What part of Phoenix area now? Geez, I never got to see the house you were moving into when I was THERE…guess I didn't miss much, eh? 🙂 Hope this new house (do you HAVE one yet??) is PERFECT for you guys…cuz ENOUGH of the moving, already, okay? At Christmas time, no less. You are my favorite crazy people, I swear…except that I don't…swear, that is! 🙂

Love and hugs from Nancy & ShaoXi

  14. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you already know where you are going. We all do things we don't understand why we did when we look at them in hindsight. Praying you know where to "land" this time! 🙂

  15. The fact that you guys easily sold the house and moved on is truly God's grace. I got stuck with a house and it took me 5 years to sell it. Husband stuck us with a house 5 years ago and we are still waiting on God.

Seriously, I don't know how you move around so often. I would be totally overwhelmed.

    1. I don't, for a second, take His grace lightly. We knew there was a very real possibility of it not selling for ages…but we knew we couldn't stay. He was merciful and we are forever reminded that He is the one who sold it and brought us the home we found. We praise Him.
