We were just outside Emma’s new home doing wash.
We hung it all across the lines and came into the house.
About 15 minutes later, this was the sky.
At the same time, our hearts are heavy with the ‘storms’ around the
world. A terrorist attack on American soil and horrific loss.
A earthquake in China where so many babies are waiting.
A fertilizer plant explosion in Texas with much loss of life.
We have no control over any of it, yet it feels very weird to be
so far away.
I am thankful that Almighty God sees, knows and hears our
cries.
The name of the LORD is a strong tower;
The righteous runs into it and is safe.
Prov. 18:10 nasb
Linny, as you know we're near Boston….my rabbi quoted a beautiful saying last night of Rabbi Nachman of Bratslav (not sure if it will all show up) which speaks to this so well:
כָּל הָעוֹלָם כֻּלּוּ גֶּשֶר צַר מְאֹד
וְהָעִקָּר לֹא לְפַחֵד כְּלָל.
Kol ha-olam kulo gesher tzar me’od
V’ha-ikkar lo l’facheid klal
All the world is a narrow bridge.
The essential thing is not to be afraid!
(attributed to Rabbi Nachman of Bratzlav, 1772-1810)
Oh Penny, it was so beautiful to see the Hebrew text…thank you for sharing…it was spoken very wisely by Rabbi Nachman of Bratzlav {who appeared to have died way too young}. Bless you my sweet friend…praying for God's peace for the Boston area. xo
