No One Can Fathom

Can you sense it?

The sweet aroma of precious bloggy friends gathered together through the power
of Almighty God knelt for one purpose?

To see God move.

No doubt there are tragedies, heartaches and struggles around the globe.

Many of you, too, are hurting.

Some have experienced great loss.

Others have been struggling financially for what seems like forever.

A number of you are in the midst of broken relationships.

A vast number are longing for a change.

Most need a miracle.

Today, let’s pray together for God’s presence to overflow our lives.

Thank you for trusting us with your requests.  Many, around the world, will be praying for your needs as the day progresses.

Please pray for others as you read through the requests.  It is miraculous how when we pray for others, God moves on our hearts in ways that are unexplainable and together we will see God move mountains…

as we share our burdens with one another….

May God bless you all….

Please share your requests in the comment section below.

After praying for some of the needs you see already listed, please leave your request in the comment section.

Now together, let’s praise Him
{at every breath}
 for what He has done,
is doing and will do.

  1. Thank you so much for organizing another day of fasting and prayer! Here are the short forms of what we need prayer for:)
–Our 9yr old son Micah: control of his seizure disorder(seizures every 10-14 days since may 2012), healing from seizures through a new coconut oil ketogenic diet and his willingness to change his eating habits, major behavioural issues, a new communication system that we are working on(PECS)to help him feel better understood, trained people to apply for working with him at school and schooling options for next year.
–My in-laws marriage fell apart, her mental health(suicide) and his physical health.
–We are moving in 3 weeks and the transition especially for our son and also our other 3 kids.
Thank you so much! Storming the heavens for you all tomorrow!
    Stephani

    1. Dear Stephani,
We are just down the hwy from you in Bellingham. I will be praying for your son Micah. We also have a daughter with seizure disorder and she too has seizures every 2 weeks or so. We are going to new neurologist next week and are hopeful for answers. Your request resonated in me and I will be in prayer for your family.
      Love, April
      Mom to four also.

  2. Hello. Can you please pr for our family. We have been miss!onaries for 7 years in a creative access country and we are back on furlough but our finances are right down and we need to be back to 100% before we head back. We know it is right to go back. and the time frame to get back is 6 weeks. Pl pr that the Lord will provide all we need to get back. We believe we will get back there soon as all things are possible with Him!! Thankyou so much!!!

  3. Please pray for my pastor, Buddy. He miraculously survived an aortic aneurysm (dissection) and surgery on April 16th. But he has been running a fever for two weeks. He has been back in the hospital having many, many tests and procedures done to find the source of infection. Please pray for a breakthrough – complete healing. Thank you ever so much.
(Thank you Linny and Dwight for praying back on 4/16!)

  4. Please pray for

    1. Oklahoma folks suffering from loss and devastation.
    2. Military depl*yed around the world. Our son is there for his 7th time.
    3. Safety of Emma, Joanna and other missionaries around the world.

  5. Praying for all who have been affected by loss, storms, death. The family of a soldier who was brutally murdered whilst walking through London, his home town.
Please pray for my son. At 48 he has just lost a Government funded job…funding has been cut, and at his age it is going to so difficult to find another post.

  6. Please pray for God's guidance, provision and protection in our family. Please pray for my siblings and I who are writing exams, that God will give us His wisdom and retentive memories, and we will all be successful. Please pray for all the hurting in the world, that God will comfort those who mourn.

  7. Please pray for:
    1. My Dad – complications from the mini-Whipple procedure – his strength, healing, no more pain from Padgets disease in his back
    2. My friends sister Sharon – rushed to the ER in heart failure, unconscious on a ventilator
    3. A radical change in the atmosphere at work…from hostile back to friendly
I am fully convinced that God is able to do whatever He promises! Thank you for praying!

  8. Please pray with me for grown children who have lost faith and their way and for me to be more of Jesus and less of myself. Praying with you all.

  9. Please pray for AJ. We are in the process of adopting him from Ind*a. He will turn four years old next week, and I am thankful this will be the last birthday he spends in an orphanage. Please pray his paperwork goes through smoothly and quickly.

  10. Oh Lord God in heaven, we come before you today humbly and broken in so many ways. Seeking answers, results, comfort and miracles in so many things. But we know You. The power and truth of You thru your Word. We stand on it united, bathing these prayer requests in your faithfulness, mercy and grace. You are all powerful and more than able. Huge things to us are small things to You. But You, knowing us, each individually, our lives intricately, care and hear and move mountains for us. Thank you oh Lord. We petition you oh God with our whole hearts on behalf of all these prayer requests today. That answer after answer will come. Miracle after miracle will abound. That Your power and might will shine through to all those reading and watching. That the next Memorial Box Monday will not be able to contain the stories of your faithfulness and grace. Lord please hear our cry as we pour out our hearts to you. Setting aside our sustenance to focus on You and You alone. Please heal me and my family members. Give us your strength and guidance as whether or not we are to go back into foster care and adopt again. If we are to proceed oh God, please bring just the right child/children to us that will fit perfectly into our household and home. Build our family, oh God. Our hearts are so willing, heal our flesh. We praise you and thank you already for all you have done, do and will do. Glory and Honor are Yours forever and ever. Amen.

  11. Thank you Linny for being sensitive to Father's voice & His perfect timing for this day of prayer!
    Please pray for:
    1. Miraculous healing for my mother, Sally. Healing in her severely damaged heart and lungs, and healing for her depression. May Jehovah Raphah show Himself mighty on her behalf.
    2. Miraculous financial provision for our family as we host a sweet 9 year old boy from China this summer. As we hear more of his story, we are feeling strongly that we are to begin proceeding forward with the possible process of his adoption. We saw God provide up to the penny for our first adoption, and are stepping out in pure faith again…. exciting, yet scary @ the same time! We so long to see His glory @ work!

  12. How wonderful is it to go before God and talk to him!! If you could please pray for me. I am getting married in a few months. While I am really excited to get married and share my life with the man that I love, the wedding planning is starting to feel like a to do list and not something to be enjoyed. I want our wedding to be something that honors God and not just another event on the calendar.

  13. I am praying concerning adoption, and have been for a long time…that if this is really what G-d wants me to do (and I really hope it is!!), he would move my husband's heart to it, guide me as to when exactly to bring it up, and guide us to the child He wants us to bring home.

    Thank you!

  14. Please pray for a change in Samuel's heart. Please pray for our finances and for a sweet baby girl born yesterday at 24 weeks and weighing in at 13 ounces.

  15. I am praying for my sons, ages 17 and 19, adopted from the foster care system ten years ago. Praying fo a miraculous healing from the scars of their past and for Godly men to mentor and care for them. Most of all, they need to meet Jesus in a life changing way.

  16. Please pray for my second cousin, Melissa Braley, a 33-year old mother of 2 young girls, who is battling stage 4 colon cancer. She is part of a wonderful faith-filled family and they can use all the prayers we can offer at this critical time. Thank you so much for initiating this, Linny!

  17. Please pray that our family will seek the Lord first in all things and keep our eyes on Him.

Please pray for our 6yr daughter Kalli the we are adopting from China. Please pray that the diagnosis of possible MD is incorrect and her body will be fully healed. Please pray that her heart is open to becoming part of our family.

Please pray for Frannie. Frannie is an 8 year girl who waits for a family in China. My heart aches for her, but at this time the door has not been opened for us to move ahead on her adoption too. Please pray that if it is God's will to bring home both of these precious girls He can show us in a big way, and if it is not He's will another family will move forward and bring home this precious treasure.

  18. Please pray for Judge L. who is in charge of our foster daughter Lydia's case. Pray that he would sense the need for permanency in her little life.

  19. We have a juvenile guardianship of our 4 1/2 yr old niece that we have had since she was 5 1/2 months old. The parents have never parented and have no contact on 2 1/2 yrs. the bio mom all the sudden wants "visits" PLEASE PRAY that the courts will grant a no contact order and PLEASE PLEASE PRAY that we can move and will be granted a full adoption.
Also PLEASE PRAY that my husbands administrative and pay issues at work to be resolved quickly and on our behalf and for peace and strength for him. I appreciate all the prayers so so much!!!!

  20. Pray for our son, David, 3 years old and stuck in Russia because of the adoption ban. He has some serious health needs (dwarfism, 2 ASD's) and we are concerned for his life. Even before the ban hit, during advent season God kept giving me this verse: "What is impossible with man is possible with God." When the adoption ban hit I understood why God was giving me this verse – we were set to leave for Russia the week this all happened. Since then I have felt a huge call to PRAISE God for what is going to do. We have seen him move mountains for adoption before, we trust he will do no less this time.

    1. I am praying and lifting you and your family up. This ban is causing children to suffer all in the name of politics. I know that God can see through this political garbage and move the hearts and minds of those in 'power' to do what is right. Praying for your family and your little boy

  21. Please pray for my cousin and her son, recently adopted from EE. He is a great kid, but still can not adjust to life in a family after 14 years of life in the orphanage. It is very hard on him and just breaks his parents hearts and very hard on his new siblings too. Thank you for your prayers for the healing of his wounds. Please Lord let his accept that his family will love him forever and no matter what. He is a wonderful kid and we all want him to feel our love and care. Please, Lord bring him closer to you. let him feel your love.

  22. Praying for everyone!

Please pray that I find a full-time job, preferably with orphanage work, adoption awareness, or a school system. I have been looking since last October, and it gets discouraging after a while. I have a bachelor's degree in social work and two years of experience as a foster care worker for the state, but I can't seem to find anything in or out of my field that is a good match.

    -Holly

  23. @Meriwether, that is what my degree is in, and where my passion lies. I will be in prayer for you. And all of you!

    1) Complete healing in my body, specifically my face.
2)finances completely taken care of for our first adoption
3)my cousin needs complete healing in her thyroid
4)To hear His voice most clearly!!

  24. We need prayer for getting everything straightened out financially, we were in a good place, but some stuff happened and now we are upside down again. Prayers for the dr's to figure out what the abnormality in our oldest son's brain is and how to proceed from there, also that his behavior would be more manageable. Praying when we meet with his new behavioral health dr that she has an open ear and hears what we have to say and doesn't just try to dismiss it all like so many others have. Also, along with the financial, we need to get the funds together to pay for our littlest dude a helmet to reshape his head. We are working to get that fit into our budget, because they aren't cheap, at least not to us!

Will be praying for those commenting:)

  25. My husband and I have been "STUCK" in our Haitian adoption, and need God to move us OUT of IBESR (Haitian social services) and onto courts. Haitian adoptions are quite unstable and very unpredictable, but we believe in a God of miracles! We need the President of Haiti to sign off on our file, and he has actually come out and said that he isn't really interested in adoptions and will get to signing dossiers when he feels like it. Well, I am praying that today is that day! We are adoption sibling girls ages 9 and 7. Thank you for praying!!
    Holly M.

  26. Joining you all in prayer today and lifting your requests to the Father.
    1) Please pray for wisdom as we decide whether I should stop working after 27 years. We have 10 children at home who need my full attention. My work allows me to do most of it from home, but it is hard to devote the time and attention to both. We have cut every expense possible, but still find it difficult to make ends meet on our farming income alone.
    2) Also, please pray for healing for our Teen Treasure whose heart is scarred from repeated trauma.

  27. Would really appreciate prayers,
    1. Infertility issues- that God would move mountains and make this barren woman filled with children. That he would comfort my husband and I when we have yet to conceive. That the heart ache wouldn't hurt as much knowing gods will be done.
    2. Adoption- prayers as my husband and I begin our adoption journey. That The Lord has a wonderful child waiting for us.
    3. Our marriage- continued strength and courage as we struggle with infertility. That we keep our eyes on The Lord and know that his timing is impecable!

Many thanks and fasting and praying for you all as well

    1. Ainsley-
I was scrolling though asking the Holy Spirit to direct my prayers today ('cause there was no way I could effectively make my way though the 100 prayers) and He had me immediately pause at yours.
Be encouraged – we serve a mighty God who can (and has!) done things that man has said is impossible. I am one of those testimonies "I was unable to bear children…" and I can remember before we conceived thinking that those women must be exaggerating their trouble and mine MUST be worse…
My 3 bio children are living breathing evidence that He can do the impossible. I remember the pain and the emptiness… but I also vividly remember the Comforter being present with me. He filled that space inside me that I felt void. And then He opened my womb.
Most importantly, though adoption, fostering, raising step children, and raising my bio children He has taught me how to rely on Him through it all.
      I will be praying!!!
      Mom of 2+3+many more!

  28. Today I'm becoming a citizen of my adopted country after completing an oath ceremony later this morning. This is my husband's home country, but he is out of town leading students on an outdoor education trip. So it's a bittersweet ending to a seven year journey. Please pray for peace today as my body is already physically reacting with anxiety. There are many things weighing on us in these past months (finances/building a business, fertility, family relationships), but just as God provided this trip for my husband, I know He will provide answers to some very real needs and desires.

  29. Plese pray for our 13 year old daughter that is stuck in Ethiopia right now – that whoever is just sitting on her paperwork would advance it. She has been waiting for 10 months and we still don't even have the initial packet for her.

Pray for another daughter that is suffering with mental health issues. Pray for wisdom in what to do for her.

    Jenny

    1. Praying for your sweet daughter! God, move on behalf of this girl you so deeply love! Thank you that you place the lonely in families. Comfort Jenny as she waits .

  30. Praying with all of you.

Please pray for Sunday's service at our church in which two members of our orphan ministry will be sharing about adoption and foster care–pray that God will open hearts and hands in our congregation to care for the fatherless. Please pray for a foster care info meeting we have next week, that many will attend and be moved to help these beautiful children. Pray that if God desires our family to adopt, my husband will be the one moving forward (I'd love to). Thanking Him for all the doors He is opening for our orphan ministry–praying that we will be faithful in using any opportunity He brings forth to share His love for the fatherless.

  31. From Monica:
    My prayer today is for:
    1. miraculous healing of God to every part of my body (especially to pain and sensitivity in my face and neck )
    2. financial mountains to move with our adoption that is quickly progressing.
    3. And to be in tune with His voice and obey and enjoy Him daily!

  32. I will be fasting and praying.
Asking for prayers for healing from what appears to be bladder spasms and pain I continue to experience.
Prayers for the children ….it seems to me the enemy is going after children lately at a higher level.
Prayers for friend Leon who is dying of cancer.
    Thank you……

  33. Please pray for my sweet niece, Riley that was diagonsed with cholesteatoma. She is 10 years old. She will be having surgery June 11th to remove this tumor from in and behind her ear. It has already eaten the 3 little bones in her ear. Pray that is does not go towards her brain (it is close) or affect her facial nerve and that she may still have hearing in that ear and not have balance controls. Actually, I pray for a miracle that our gracious and all powerful would heal her competely. Thank you so much!
    Pamela

  34. I will certainly be praying today and in the days ahead.
My prayer request is in regards to our adoption. We were approved to adopt 2 boys from Ch*na, received 2 proposals and then were told we could only adopt one child. My heart has been so heavy, praying this little guy will find a family, and if he is meant to be ours that he will be able to join our family soon. I leave for Ch*na in about 8 weeks. Also, we received a grant through ABBA Canada (the only organization in all of Canada offering grants) but have yet to find a Registered Charity that will accept these funds on our behalf. Normally the church would do this, but so far 2 churches have said no, as they are afraid of getting into trouble with the CRA. We still need an additional $18,000 for this adoption…trying so hard not to get discouraged. We have very little support in our Christian community.

    1. I just became a Canadian today (finally got to take my oath after a long wait!), and I will pray for this specifically. I'm so sad you are not yet able to find a society willing to accept the funds on your behalf. I'll be praying specifically about that, that someone would have the courage and compassion to do the right thing regardless of Revenue Canada. I don't know where you are, but just know that a Jesus-follower in BC is cheering you on and praying for you.

  35. Please pray for a 10 year old little girl battling CF who needs a lung transplant to live. Pray for a dear family of ours who needs their adoptive child's birth certificate so their I600 can be approved and they can bring her home for the much needed medical treatment; she has CP and having seizures. Believing that God would heal my 10 year old daughter and close her ear drum and her hearing would be restored to 100%. Also that we will have a smooth I600 process!!Thank you for your prayers. Jamallia

  36. Praises for a brother who is developing a relationship with God! Praises for
our Asian treasures one of whom had a successful heart surgery recently. It
seems every time we work to bring home a special needs child through adoption we
encounter "tests." The same is happening for my brother who is drawing nearer
to God–especially with his taking his children to church (their mother is
atheist). He is experiencing big roadblocks right now at every turn. Please
    keep him in your prayers.

  37. Thank you so much for sharing this blessed opportunity to come together before the Lord and fast and pray. I have a prayer request for the W family. They love the Lord and have adopted 7 treasures. A year and a half ago the adopted two older treasures and they have met with many struggles trying to find healing, peace and joy in their family. They are very discouraged. Please pray that the Lord will give them wisdom on how to deal with the challenges that they face and that their family were learn to love and trust one another. God bless you all. ~Tina

  38. Someone close to me is going through a very horrible divorce following domestic violence where a young child is involved. It is most frustrating because the "experts" who are getting paid way too much money do not seem to be working for the child's best interest and it is so frustrating! Actually, these experts don't seem to be doing anything! In the meantime, the mom seems to continue to be abused (mentally and emotionally) by not only the soon to be ex, but also the experts that she is paying! It angers me so much and does not seem like God is taking care of this! Please pray for peace for all involved and in the end HE the Almighty will triumph and the mom and child will be protected without becoming poor!

Also, I have gone out on my own as an independent contractor and would appreciate prayer for clients so this will be a successful endeavor for me.

Thank you! And I praise God for what he is doing even though nothing seems to be happening!

  39. My husband is moving out today and signing initial papers to start divorce proceedings. The process takes about 3 months. I am 100% against this. It's unbiblical. I have no way or right to stop this by state law. ONLY ALMIGHTY GOD.
My husbands heart MUST be changed. It must be broken with Truth. There have been a lot of hurts-a lot that must be worked through, BUT GOD CAN. He hates divorce.
Please pray for the spiritual battle in my husbands heart. Please pray for my heart… I need a lot of patience and strength. My heart is to treat him with only love–even through my hurt and frustration. Please pray for our children, that their hearts be protected.
I know God can make beauty from ashes. Our marriage is in the ashes stage.
I have heard The Lord whisper to me to have a lot of people pray and fast. I immediately thought of the faithful people on this blog. I was hoping for an opportunity, and of course, Linny blogged a day later 🙂 God is so good.

Truly, my husband agreeing to try and save this marriage would be a miracle. I'm ready to see God work and see the beauty that comes from it. Thank you so much for your prayers and I'm excited to pray for you!

    1. Hi Erin, Just read through your request and it gave me God bumps, a touch from the Holy Spirit for sure, a call to pray. Have experienced similar situation and so understand what you mean about the spiritual battle. Sending you a cyber hug and many prayers. xoxoxoxoxo

  40. Praying with and for you all. I am in my last on-campus term of university, and am trying to do 6 courses (full load is 4-5) as well as continuing to work at my part-time job. I have spent much of the last two years under high stress and my body has reacted by being sick for much of that time. Please pray that I would be able to manage and recognize my limits over the next few months, and that I would continue to heal and not relapse into illness.
    Thank you all.

  41. I would appreciate prayers for our family and especially my 8 year old daughter adopted from China. She has anxiety and panic attacks that have a huge effect on her ability to function. She has been doing well, but has had a few incidents lately. I saw this on Linny's blog and hoped it was a message for us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Phil. 4:6. It is going to be a very stressful couple of months for her and I fear this will trigger a major return to anxiety. Our family is moving to another state and prior to that I have to make several trips away from home which are always very difficult for her. Add to that the end of school and change in routine. Please also pray this move will be good for our family. One of the reasons for moving is that I will not have as much travel for work which will be better for my youngest – and my other two kids! Thank-you. Carol

  42. Thanks for all for your prayers – I'll be working through this list to pray for you, too!

I ask for healing for Adam, a job for Raymond (and all others who are looking).

  43. Please pray for peace for me and God's grace to trust Him as I have begun having some strange physical symptoms just as we are gathering our final pieces of our dossier to send to China. It's been causing me to feel very unsettled as I wonder what is going on. Thank you!

  44. Thank you for praying! I will be praying through this list later this evening after our children have gone to bed.

We have been unemployed for a year, and God has recently blessed us with a job! So very thankful for His great mercy and provision! He has also blessed us with the opportunity to purchase a house that is just right for our three special needs treasures. I would ask prayer for a smooth transition to this new home and community, and that our children would find peace about the move.

We are blessed to be buying a large enough home that we can adopt more children! So thankful!!!! So I am now praying that God would lead us to the children He might have in store for this family, that He would prepare us for whatever their special needs are, and that He would fully provide the funding to adopt them and bring them home.

Our family has had some deep, painful struggles in the past couple years as our family has grown, and we are very grateful that God has been bringing us into a time of peace over the last year! Our year of unemployment was a blessing, not a misery, and we are grateful for His mercy and for people who have so kindly prayed for us.

    Blessings!
    Shawnee

  45. Moving from Durango to Indy in 6 days & still waiting on God to provide a house to move into in Indy. He has provided an amazing job & church there, and I know He can & will provide a home also. Just very eager to have Him tell me!

    Thanks for praying!

  46. This could not have come at a better time.
Please pray as a judge will be deciding to leave our boys with us or move them to a new home. If it is God's Will for these littles to leave (almost a year and half after asking us to adopt) that God will gaurd our 2 year olds heart as he loses his best friend.

  47. Please pray for my daughters family. They are foster parents and have had one little guy for over a year, he is just past two. Mom's rights have been terminated and now a family member has decided she wants him. My daughter saved the the younger brother from abortion, he has hydroencephilitis and spina bifida, but she loves him as her own. He is 6 months old, they've had him since birth. Now this same family member wants him too. She sees dollar signs but daughter and family only see the love and joy they bring.
Please pray God will move on the hearts of the people who will be deciding this case soon. Also for daughter's family financially as they have had to hire expensive lawyers to fight this.
Thank you so much for all you do for the orphans. Daughter and family are supporters of your Voice for Orphans ministry as well.

  48. I am fasting with you all and praying for all your needs. I'd like to add mine in as well….
    1. My daughter maggie to be made whole and complete, no infections or malfunctions in her body
    2. Money and blessings from heaven for my family to move out on our own in a different land than where we are now

  49. Praying and fasting with you all. My prayer need/miracle has been the same now for some time. It has been 3 years and 8 months since I have hugged my boy and told him I loved him in person. Brock is now 20 1/2. Please pray with me for reconciliation with my precious boy.

    Blessings,
    Suzanne

  50. Thanking the Lord for dedicated women/men who come together to fast and pray for one another. Thanks Linny for doing this again. I have a couple of request.

We are desperately seeking where the Lord want us to move. We know our time here is done, but we really need to hear where. There are three things related to this that needs specific prayer.

    1. Where are we supposed to be moving. We need a place with great medical care for our daughter with epilepsy, CL/CP for our other daughter and cardio for our son. And we really don't function well in the city.
    2. A job for my husband. His time is so limited where he is and it is daily getting worse. Also, can you please pray for him as it is a daily struggle and he is starting to get down.
    3. Our house to sell. We bought at the top of the market and we are upside down, but we really need to move on. We also need to put some money into the house to get it ready to sell, but know we will not get any of that money back.

Right now it seems so impossible to us, but we know it IS possible!

One last request is for one of our daughters. She is struggling so much with who she is and her part in our family. She has auditory processing disorder and dyslexia on top of feelings of shame and attachment issues. Her actions, behaviors and feelings are really affecting everyone in our family.

As I type this I keep thinking about our attachment therapist that lives in Grand Rapids, MI. There is a level 4 epilepsy center there, good pediatric cardio and a CL/CP clinic there. We have talked for 4.5 years about moving there, but we keep fighting it. If this is where the Lord wants us will you pray that He will show us without a doubt that is where we should be?

Thank you for praying. I count it a privilege to pray with you and for you.

  51. I would appreciate your prayers for my husband and his job situation. He has been working two jobs for a couple of years now, and our kids miss their Dad:(! We've been praying for a long time that the Lord would provide ONE job to replace them…or a substantial raise in his current full time job. Also, for my heart in regards to my adopted daughter(home 3 years)…we have never connected and all I feel is bitterness and anger toward her. I'm so broken and KNOW that Jesus is the ONLY one who can change my heart toward her…. We desperately need healing in this situation!! IT'S BEYOND TIME! Thanks, and know that I am praying for each of you by name!

  52. Fasting on the Friday in which i work outside with service dogs is somewhat hard. I have had some dizzy moments and the South Carolina heat is hard to bear….but i knew it was for the right. I am especially holding those families STUCK in adoption high on my prayer list right now.
    As for our prayers:
Please pray for financial provision so that we all can return to Ethiopia and bring back our 7 year old little girl and that we have the financial ability to fly her sister in for a birth family meeting. The tickets have gone up $600 each and it just may not be possible.
Pray for the Yon family, a wonderful educational visionary was killed tragically in a car accident 9 days ago- he was part of a charter school team- the director, with his middle school set to open this fall. He was working so hard to make his dream a reality and was taken way too soon.
Please pray for my heart and mind as I navigate my options for work this fall. I want to make the right choice for myself and family.
Please pray our children's love will grow steady and strong and they will attach and bond as we bring in our new little girl.
Please pray for an smooth embassy process, we should be submitted any day now.

  53. Okay, I wasn't going to add this prayer request because, frankly, because of the above mentioned issues with my daughter, I just don't feel "worthy" of even mentioning it…but…I need to. For a while now I've had this HUMONGOUS desire to be on "the mission field"…preferably spreading the gospel/working with orphans/families.. My husband does not share this desire… He sees his ministry staying in a local church(teaching the body)…has no desire to GO anywhere.. My heart is breaking because we are no where NEAR the same page in this. Now, I know the enemy would like nothing better than to keep us divided, so my prayer is that God would unite our hearts/minds for HIS purposes and that He would show us clearly what those are! That He would give me contentment wherever He leads. Thanks!:)

    1. Renae – I will pray for you and your family. I want to encourage you if I can. There was a specific call that God put on my heart to adopt and my husband did not hear it AT ALL. I heard it quite clearly. I brought it up a couple times with no good results at all. I told the Lord that I was willing but it was not possible to adopt as a single when I was married. 10 years later my husband heard that same call and we now have 2 darling girls in our heading to retirement years. I don't know why God had the timing working that way, but I believe my husband is just as capable of hearing God as I, so God just chose to let me know first. May it be so for your family as well. I will pray for unity of purpose – and I will pray that the necessary attachment work happens so that your dauther is truly the child of your heart. You both deserve that!

  54. We praise God that our paperwork has (finally) been translated and submitted to the social services agency for the adoption of our Colombian treasures. We ask for prayers for a speedy and smooth approval and that God would choose to move mountains so we could travel to bring them home by the end of summer. What a mighty God we serve!

  55. Please pray tor Sarah Murnaghan 10 year old little girl nearing the end of her battle with cystic fibrosis. She needs lungs now. Her family loves the Lord and adoption. Her mom Janet and father. Fran need their sweet girl to live. Please pray protection over my husband at work some how a lie has started that he is gay and his logos he has created are as well. He is godly man and loving father and husband. A crushing accusation from people that don't know him.
    thanks you!

  56. Please pray for my little girl Josie. We adopted her at 3 with a serious unrepaired heart condition (several in fact). Because the heart defects were not treated she also developed lung issues – pulmonary hypertention – which is also life threatening. She was declared inoperable by our local childrens hospital, but by the grace of God we found a center with the correct experience – and 6 months ago she had her heart surgery. She coded twice during recovery, but is now healing well. But her lungs are still badly affected and we have her on a very difficult and costly medical regime to see if we can allow those lungs to heal. Also, because of her early experience she needs a lot of work with her speech, and I don't know we have the right diagnosis or people working with her.

Pray for Josie's lungs and heart to heal completely, and for us to be able to unravel and heal whatever is going on with her speech.

  57. Joining with you.
Please pray for a young guy Calvin God put in my path today. He is having a stomach issue and was in the hosp. yesterday. He also needs prayer to grow in his faith.
For wisdom and provision as I continue to balance this single mom thing with no help and try to work. Pray for a job idea that it is right and I have the right people to work with.
For my van that somehow needs something done that I had done 5 years ago. It is going to be 1,035. Yiikes I know God will provide, will you stand with me.
For my precious kids they need me to be with them and I am really seeing them struggle with me trying to balance. I really need wisdom and I want to pour into them and want to be home with them more. Thank God they come with me to work yet it is still hard to balance. Help me to be the mom and the dad or lets say point them to their heavenly daddy.

  58. Please pray. I have been raising my grandson with special needs since he was 18 months old. He will be 8 in July. His mother has been released from prison and she and my son have been living with us for the past 18 months while they save money to buy a home. Their bid was accepted this morning and they will be moving soon. Pray that we will be able to adjust to life without our grandson. I know they need to get into their own home and make their own family but I cannot imagine life without my little one. Pray that I will lay this at the feet of Jesus.

  59. Please pray for my mom. She was diagnosed 4 weeks ago with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. She had her 2nd chemo treatment Wednesday and will be moving into our home tomorrow until the end of all her treatments, surgery and radiation. In that, please pray for peace for me, that I would trust the Lord to uphold me, because I have the overwhelming sense of dread that I will somehow fail in this endeavor.

  60. Thank you, Linny, for such a timely day of prayer and fasting!

    Please pray for:
    — My father, Horace, who has been very ill and remains hospitalized after a knee replacement with severe pneumonia. He almost died two weeks ago, so we praise God for saving his life! He also has pulmonary fibrosis, which is a terminal lung disease, and we ask that you pray for complete healing — of the fibrosis, the pneumonia, everything.
    — My family, as we are stretched thin and feeling weary from juggling our lives and jobs with having a very ill family member. Pray for wisdom and God's leading as we seek the best route to complete rehab and recovery for my "young for 80" dad.
    — I have been praying about pursuing international adoption for some time, but it seems overwhelming as a single woman. Pray for God's leading and confirmation if this is what he's calling me to do, and for my parents to feel peace and excitement about it, too, as their support is very important to me.
    — Praying about returning to Uganda for a couple of weeks this fall to serve with a ministry I'm involved in. I'm seeking wisdom regarding that in light of pursuing adoption, too.
    — Pray for guidance and open doors in some writing and ministry opportunities.

    1. Susan, I will be praying for you and your family. My step-dad died 2 years ago of PF and my dearest Aunt is currently fighting it. Her lung function has dropped to 42%. I also am caring for a sick parent who has been hospitalized and in a nursing care center to receive PT/OT for the last several weeks and I know just how incredibly stressful it is on everyone in the family. ((hugs))

    2. Karina, thank you for your prayers and empathy. We are all so exhausted, both physically and emotionally. I'm praying right now for you and your family as you care for your loved one, as well as your dear aunt as she fights PF. And thank you for the hugs, too. I seem to be needing them a lot these days. 🙂

  61. Please pray for my father. He suffered a spontaneous spinal hemorrhage on Thanksgiving Day that left him paralyzed below the waist. He has had many, many complications since then and spent 5 months in the hospital. He is home now and requires 24 hour care. He also has a mass blocking over 3/4 of his aorta. Surgery to removed it is not possible due to his very weakened state. He and my mom are both trying to adjust to this new life, and our family is trying to discern how best to support both of them.

  62. I don't know if anyone would read all the way down here, but I need a miracle. Our little boy was supposed to move in this week; instead a family member changed their mind and wants to take him. She is acting under the influence of another and due to our boy's needs, it is not a good placement for him. I am praying God will move and we will hold our son again. The thought of packing up all his clothes is killing me.
Also, my husband's grandma was taken off life support yesterday. Please pray for her husband, who is devastated.
And pray for my two young boys, who have lost a brother and great-grandma in one week. They don't understand why people keep leaving.

    1. Rachel, I have read over and over again this whole list of prayer needs from top to bottom today many times. I am sure many others are doing the same. Your requests and needs have been bathed in prayer. 🙂

    2. Praying for peace. Praying for your little guy. Keep him where he is loved Father! Bring this family to a deeper understanding of you through these trials.

    3. Thank you. I have not heard anything about our little boy's case. I am praying I will get to be his mommy. But today I met our newborn baby girl foster placement! God is good, all the time!

  63. Please pray for a family that is welcoming their son with full trisomy 18 into the world today. Praying he is able to survive the birth. May their family be filled with His peace and love.
Also, please pray for my family to clearly know God's will in regard to moving. I pray He is involved in the details of getting our house ready to sell, showing us the house that is meant for our family, and helping my children with the transition.
Thank you and know that I have been praying for those intentions listed here today.

  64. Praying for all of you today. My request is for my husband. He is having surgery on his kidney on May 30. Pray for wisdom for the dr and for the equipment to function properly. He has not had much to do with God for about 10 years. Pray that he would be more open to God's work in his life.
I would also like prayer as I start home schooling our 5 year old in the fall. Nervous as he is rather strong willed and doesn't listen well. I feel strongly that this is the right thing for him. My prayer is that his heart will be softened to instruction.
    Thank you 🙂

  65. Praying over your requests this afternoon. Thank you for the opportunity to share my request, though it does not seem important comparatively, it is deeply affecting me. I am going through a premature change of life (ahem, menopause). It's sad, depressing, painful emotionally and physically, and seems all too soon. I'm having a hard time dealing with the loss that comes with menopause, as well as the emotional and physical changes. I request healing, wisdom as to how best to regulate the symptoms and for comfort that can only come from our Heavenly Father. Thank you!

  66. My mom recently introduced me to this blog, and it has been incredibly inspirational to read through past posts and see all that God has brought you through! My husband and I have faced seemingly non-stop challenges in our five years of marriage so far, and at times I have wondered why so many "bad" things keep happening to us. Through strong believing friends, our church, and my own prayer life and Bible study, I have come to hear God telling me that He is using these struggles to prepare us for His purpose and plan for our lives. Reading your stories of His faithfulness has been so encouraging and confirming for me!
My prayer request is in regards to our 4 1/2 year old daughter, Faith. She will be having surgery on June 10 for an issue with the tubes that connect her kidneys to her bladder. This will be her 11th time going to the operating room and going under general anesthesia… the anesthesia has always scared me far more than the actual surgeries. I believe that this surgery is God's plan for her (He has been telling me it was for a year but I kept ignoring Him), so I would just ask for prayers that everything goes smoothly and she has a fast and easy recovery with no lasting damage or effects from this condition. Also peace for my husband and I as we entrust her to an unfamiliar doctor at an unfamiliar hospital. I've shared my requests in more detail on her blog, http://www.faiths-place-08.blogspot.com and also have many stories of God's faithfulness in our lives and the miraculous healing of our younger daughter, Selah, shared there as well…

  67. My prayer request is to be able to get our two children from Uganda home. We have been working at this for a bit now, and even though things have moved faster than we thought they might, we are still struggling to meet the financial needs of all of the adoption process. We are doing fundraising efforts and such (www.ouradoptionjourneyhome.blogspot.com) and would appreciate your prayers as we work to bring our babies home! Thank you!

  68. Love to join in this to pray and to request prayer. Please pray for hearts to be softened and mountains to be moved so that a precious waiting little girl who has been waiting so long and needs her family so badly, could come home. Thank you. Every blessing to each of you.

  69. Praying for all the needs here. These prayer and fasting days always seem to happen at the exact perfect time!
I am dealing with several health issues for my 7 year old daughter who already suffers from a chronic condition. We have been in the hospital since Tuesday and it's been quite frustrating dealing with doctors who are not listening to my concerns and not conducting tests that I am requesting, but are conducting all sorts of other tests. As a single mom of 5, this is hard to balance.

    1. Dear Ladyblog ~ I have been reading through each prayer request (over the past 2 days) and I felt Him draw me to you and your requests. I WILL be praying for your sweet daughters and that God will bring a medical person who will listen to you. I am a regular reader here on Linny's blog and would like to ask if you would be open to letting me read/follow your blog? My email address is jomoseley57@gmail.com. I would love to support you. Hugs ~ Jo

  70. I don't know if it's too late to be asking but my family needs prayer for restoration…with each other and my husband and my older children with their relationship with God. I also am asking prayer for pain issues that have become a daily thing. It's been difficult to work and do my daily tasks.

  71. Just a praise report… My daughter turned from her back to her belly twice tonight…. this is an absolute miracle since she has been unable to move at all since birth…. she is also starting to reach for things….. Bless Jesus… thank you everyone for praying. My confession over her is that she will be above average in all she says and does and is for the rest of her very long and fruitful life.

  72. It seems I missed this time of pray and fasting! I prayed over many of these request just now and will continue to revisit these over the next few days.
I am a 57 year old single female and I am in the midst of adopting two 13 year old girls from China. Last May I adopted two girls now 12 and 13. I work two jobs and am asking God to provide for the I800 fees and last agency payment. I am also praying for my income tax refund to not be held up as I need it to travel.

My heart goes out to these aging out girls that have special medical needs. One was born missing her forearm and hand and the other needs serious revision of cleft repair.

I pray too that all the girls will come to love one another and that their heart will be open to Jesus.

Praising God for the answered prayers!
    Vicky

  73. Praying for many of the requests listed above…
I know I am late in the ball game here…

    Please pray for…
Those who lost so much in the tornados this past week in Oklahoma where we are currently living and those working there that God would use them mightily in the clean up but most importantly in the work of being Jesus to those who are hurting in so many ways… The devastation is gutwrenching…

That our home would sell as soon as possible… we will be moving later this week for my husband to take a call to another church in a different state to serve as their pastor…

Thank you so much for lifting all these requests before the Father…

    1. Hi Sarah,
Praying for all of the families and workers in Oklahoma and praying for your home to sell quickly and for a smooth transition as you move.
      Praying,
      Kathy

  74. praying for many friends who are struggling with family's health issues, a bride to be that is finding less joy in daily lists for her wedding (may she find peace and look forward to her wedding, and someone to take over some to do things.) Praying that God will come alongside the hurting people that have listed prayers on this post, surrounding them with His ever loving arms. God is there for you and His mercies are new every morning. Great is His faithfulness….Lamentations 3:22-23
Praying for a good paying job for our daughter, Megan. She's in need of it, as she is single and needs work to pay her bills and help with her college books and now needs two back tires for her car. One is getting bad.

  75. I have read through and prayed for every request! I will continue to read through, give praise , and lift you all up over and over again in the next few days. I pray that you all will feel the prayers on your behalf being answered. Giving praise and thanks to The Lord for his abundance of blessings!! Thank you to all that have prayed! I know I GREATLY appreciate it! And thank you Linny for providing this opportunity for all of us!!

  76. Praying for dear friends who are suffering at the hands of a workplace bully. Praying that God will intervene for these sweet Christian women who make such a difference in the lives of others. Asking that God will help them know that they are special in His eyes because they have been so spiritually and emotionally torn down by this bully that they are feeling very depressed and struggling with their daily lives. Also, praying that the bully will see the error of her ways and correct this behavior because she calls herself a Christian and is setting a bad example for the younger women she is supposed to be a model for.

Praying for the families in Oklahoma and those assisting them at this time. Asking that God help us all remember that this could be any one of us and we all need to do something no matter how small to help people when they are in need. It may be that one little kind deed that shows a person who does not know Christ to turn to a life of Christianity because of a good example he's seen in others during such a difficult time.

Praying for my daughter to get a job. She desperately needs a job to help support her two little boys. Praying for my grandson who faces some medical tests this week.

Thanking God for the opportunity of prayer and for HIS son Jesus. In his name, ask all these things.
