Their Voice

After spending the day in the slums serving at
Frontlines+ Feeding program,
only one thought echoed from each of the team
{shared with tears and much emotion}
“We will never, ever be the same again…”
Because beautiful treasures came…

to play games….

to relax…
to be told how precious they are to us
and to the heart of God….
to hear the words “I love you”…

and to eat a yummy meal
{one of three we are able to feed them each week}…

And although we served them…
it’s true,

We were the ones changed.

And…

“We will never, ever be the same again.”
Thank you to all who make the
Frontlines + Feeding Program possible…
unless you see it for yourself, it’s difficult to imagine.

I’ve served in the slums and the
feeding program before.
Today was even more profound.
My eyes keep filling with tears.
The heartache little ones endure,
tummies aching from hunger,
neglected, despised by much of society,
and yet, they’re just like you and me,
no different, and God loves them immeasurably
and International Voice of the Orphan
is compelled to being their voice.

We will not remain silent.
They desperately need us.

And they need you.
