Simple Can be Hard

This is where I am.
Right now.
God has been really stirring how to have exacting faith.
I’ve always considered myself as a faith-filled woman…
But I know myself…and every once in a while
 overwhelming fear is
so close I can almost taste it.
And I am just really grasping the extent of just what
God wants to do through each of us.
I am learning that it is a
waste of time to try to figure it all out.
Simple trust.
Complete trust.

Reckless abandon trust.
Yet it can be so hard.
Anything weighing heavy on your heart?
Having opportunities to run in fright?
Scared beyond words sometimes?
I get it.
I really do.
So I have had to intentionally, purposefully and faithfully
go back to God’s Holy word and
remember…all the things in the Memorial Box…..
“Those who hope in Him will not be disappointed.”

And all of a sudden something God has moved the mountain.
He alone has done it.
And we wonder why we ever even thought of worrying.
Look to Him with me.
He is working, even when we can’t see it.
He is trustworthy.
Completely.

  1. Where fear seems ever present in my life and I have to push it back on a daily/hourly basis by praying fervently, I needed to read this. Thank you 🙂

  2. Oh Linny, this is going straight into my heart tonight. friend. Love this….and just so you know, we are wrapping you in prayer…..love……and God's best.

  3. I let fear overtake me more than I care to admit to. I second and third guess every single decision and then if that doesn't work I use fear as a backup. Right? No. Honest? Yes. Painfully so. When I pray for myself this always seems to make it to the top of the list. I hope to someday not allow fear to choke out all the goodness that God wants to accomplish through me. To be courageous is something I long to be. : )

  4. This is so true…give it all to Him, he is so trustworthy and faithful. He will bring you through any situation better and way beyond anything
you can dream or imagine. Trust Him. Great is His faithfulness!
