What I Wish to Tell All of You…

So yesterday afternoon when I pushed “Publish” for the blogpost I had just written,
I had no idea that you all would be so enthusiastic.  I left immediately to go pick up
our babysitter and didn’t check back in until later when I discovered that there was a
sweet bunch of you, my sweet bloggy friends, celebrating with me.

Wow.  Wow.  Wow.

I had no idea!

My eyes instantly filled with such gargantuan tears as I tried to read your comments that I
couldn’t even read them!  I had to pull myself together!

You guys really have no idea what your enthusiasm and love for my family mean to
my heart each day.  Thank you!!

Over the years of writing Place Called Simplicity I have had the joyful privilege to
speak one-on-one with some of you.  When given that opportunity I have often been very
vulnerable and shared a bit of my heart about something….

But since most of you I have not had the privilege to hug in person today I just really
want to share publicly what I have shared privately with some of the bloggy friends
when I have spent time with them.

Haha!  If that is “as clear as mud” hang on so I can better explain:

This is what I’ve told many of you, if I’d been able to meet in person
{preferably over a cup of coffee}
 on my back veranda
{which is quite lovely these days, I might add}:

After enduring many dreadful years of loneliness
the Lord heard my authentic heart’s cry for
friendships with like-minded women.

Enter Place Called Simplicity –
which in turn brought each of you!!

I cannot ever thank you each enough for your friendship, your prayers, your encouragement
and the sharing of both our joys and our sorrows.

You guys are such an answer to so many prayers!!

Happy Valentines Day – I love you guys!!

  1. Big hugs and blessings from me here in the North Georgia Mountains. I too have went thru desert times without friendship or support in our calling. It is also thru blogging and the internet that I have made many wonderful nourishing friendships. We pray for you very often and love you all so much. Blessings!

  2. Happy Valentine's Day to you too…or as one of my elderly massage clients loved to say "Happy Sweet Hearts Day"

My guy asked what I would like for Valentine's Day and I said a power walk around the lake. He was such a good sport, our walk was lovely!

    Sending you a Valentine's hug,
    Suzanne

  3. *sniff* Those bleeding heart flowers are my absolute favorite on earth. They remind me of my grandpa, who had a couple bushes of them in his backyard in Michigan. They will forever remind me of him.

  4. Your blog has been a big support to me so thank you for writing it. I have caring friends but no one who really understands adopting children with special needs and then homeschooling them all. I am always sharing stories from your blog or what Emma is doing with my husband so he definitely knows who Linny at A Place Called Simplicity is too even though he doesn't read your blog like I do. In two weeks I will be traveling to Sierra Vista, AZ for five days to see my brother. I can't wait start shoveling some sunshine instead of snow since we have gotten over four feet of snow this winter here in the Northeast.

    1. Thank you for your sweet words Amy. I just had to "say it out loud" after all these years, because clearly, I will not be able to hug all the necks anytime soon! Ha! I have no idea where Sierra Vista is, but I pray your time is warm and refreshing to your soul!! I will be in Uganda for my sweet Emmy's wedding while you are here!
