Karl’s surgery went well.
Very well.
And I did not get to update last night about how well he was responding yesterday. 
I had spent time about an hour with Karl and all the while, I knew that Karl was completely responding.   I read him verses, I prayed over him, I teased him….and at one point when I was teasing him about Autumn he gave me a huge smile!
 I came out of being with Karl 
and said enthusiastically,
“On a scale of 1-10 that was like a 2 Trillion!”
I was giddy!!
Seriously, I had a blast and I know Karl 
was completely enjoying the time too!
When I got out in the ICU waiting room, everyone was really tired and hadn’t seemed all that interested in my joy
{I think because they were thinking I was being a little overly optimistic.  Silly people!}
UNTIL
They went in themselves.
Autumn and Vicki came out so excited they could hardly stand it.
Karl had given Autumn the biggest smile.
He even winked at her!
AND
He had raised his arm to her.  She bent over his face and said, “Oh babe, do you want to stroke my face?”
To which he lifted his arm and rubbed her face with his hand.
Every time she would lift her face away, he would raise his arm.  She would lower her face back down and he would stroke her face for a bit.  
Clearly, Mr. Karl was responding very well!
When Autumn told me that what had happened, I kept yelling, “I told ya!!!  I told ya!!  I told ya!!”  
Such good MIRACLE news.
Now with the surgery today they have had to sedate him again for bit and so today was pretty low key.
But you guys – 
It is the POWER of PRAYER!!
Plain and simple.
Almighty God responding to the prayers of God’s people….
He is just soooo faithful!

  1. That is the sweetest news I have heard all day. What a great day for all of you and so happy surgery went well. I can;t wait to see all the miracles in the coming days. Lifting everyone up ….Karl, Ruby and Sarah.

  9. Praise Jesus! How encourging! I haven't signed up to pray but have been praying for Karl.

    So good to hear he is making progress and will continue to pray.

  25. Okay, its official, I check this blog every night so I can cry and praise Jesus! I look forward to reading about the day Karl stands before people to testify about the healing power of our mighty Savior Jesus 🙂 I don't believe it is premature to say that since we are told to call those things that are not as though they are.

  29. LOVE the good news updates 🙂 Thanks for keeping us posted so diligently. I'm still praying here in PA. Can't wait to know what God has up HIS royal sleeve for this young man. It's gonna be good.

    Our youngest bio boy had a serious accident when he was almost five. Life-flight to CHOP kind of serious. And it was actually the second or third time that his little life was truly in jeopardy. Each time, he was miraculously rescued by God. We tell him all the time that God must have something AMAZING in store for his future, that the enemy has tried to change that plan so early on. It's been a great faith & confidence builder in him since the accident left some lingering fear issues and flashbacks at first.

    Again, I say confidently that the plans of the enemy for Karl are cancelled and he will NOT have him. This update is just further confirmation that God has BIGGER and BETTER plans than the enemy could thwart!

  39. Awesome news…God is good…I always check the blog every morning to see the latest…my 15 year old daughter always wants to hear the updates too…and sometimes she gets to the updates first…We continue keeping up and praying for Karl in Atlanta GA

    I have been ill and so haven't been on the rota the last few days or checking in but hubby has been getting the updates for me and we have still been praying – you all have been on my heart constantly!
    These miracles are truly awe inspiring… what a mighty God we serve!
