I thought I should do a quick update on Karl’s progress.
Saturday and Sunday were really good days!
Yesterday he was responding to most everything that was said.
He was able to go sit outside for a while as well.
He has been arm wrestling with his brother Ryan and
giving each other quite the workout!

When I got up there yesterday, he was smiling at me so much so that everyone was commenting. I was teasing him {what else is new?} and he was clearly enjoying it.
One of the especially fun moments was when Emma said,
“Hey Karl, how about you and Autumn and me and Josh go on a double date again soon?”
Karl instantly snapped his fingers twice.
Not just thumbs up – but snapping his fingers.
No doubt, he was saying,
“Let’s do it – now!!”
A few minutes prior to that, I had noticed Karl lean to his left and close one of his eyes, clearing looking past the little crowd and into the distance.
I have been praying for discernment as to what he is thinking….and immediately the Lord prompted me to say,
“Karl, are you looking over there closing one of your eyes, because one of your eyes is not seeing as well as the other?”
He looked up at me and gave me a distinct thumps “up”.
Whoooa.
Two totally different questions,
two completely different ways he chose to respond.
He is clearly tracking with what we are saying.
We are so thankful for all the prayers and
we are so proud of how hard Karl is working!
Please, please keep praying!

So wonderful! He sounds so alert compared with just a week ago! Way to go Karl!
Jeremiah 29:11, What an amazing testimony Karl has, he just has to finish walking it out. By HIS stripes, Karl is healed and I belive that with all that I am. God is always good like that!

I love these updates! God's answers are breath-taking. Praying for all of you everyday.
Praising God that Karl is continuing to improve so quickly – it may seem slow to you, but this is wonderful. How is his short term memory – that's what my Dad struggled with (as well as double vision) – we must have told Dad about 50 times what happened to him – but Praise God that he is healed now from that – it just took time. Karl's vision will likely go back to normal, but it will take time. We continue to pray with you.

I have had a busy 10-12 days and have not been able to take the time to comment or sign up for the prayer vigil. I have just been avoiding much computer time.
However, I have had time for prayer and just want to let you know that our family is praying for Karl and for strength for all of you who love him.
I totally get what your saying. We have noticed the hand of God in our fostering of these children in our home. The people he has put in our path, the circumstances they came into our home, so many details to list that could only be the hand of GOD. Praying for your precious family and for Karl. And so thankful God is in control of EVERY detail!!! Praise His Holy Name!!!
