Mountains are Moving for Jubilee Promise

I knew you guys would pray!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!
And, literally, immediately the mountains started to move last night after posting!
When I first posted about Jubilee, a week ago, a sweet blog friend {Christie} came out of lurkdom and emailed me.  She said, “Could your doctor be concerned about such-n-such?”  I was like whoooa.  I had been so vague, but she had felt that that might be what it was {totally the Lord speaking to her, no doubt!}.  Sure enough, she was on the money. I emailed her and thanked her for caring.
So yesterday when the surgeon still wasn’t returning our calls, the Lord reminded me of her email.  Last night about midnight I emailed her again and asked about surgeons.
This morning an email was waiting in my inbox.  Christie is in a yahoo group that deals with this particular type of tumor.  There are only TWO surgeons in the United States that this group recommends – one on the east coast and one on the west.  The surgery warrants someone highly skilled as the brain could even be involved.
In the email this morning, this sweet lurker-turned-friend put me in touch within a matter of hours with just the right person so that…
I spent 25 minutes talking with this highly specialized surgeon’s office a bit ago and it was confirmed…
“the tumor needed to come out yesterday”.
Soooooo……
We have an appointment with the surgeon on this coming Tuesday morning.  Jubilee’s surgery is already scheduled for Thursday
{a week from today}.
The surgeon is in the San Francisco Bay area.
Miracles abound!
I told Christie – you are one of God’s ministering angels!!
Please don’t stop praying.
Much lies ahead for us.
Saturday is our yard sale to raise necessary funds to
go get Ruby Grace and Sarah Jane,
so the kids and I are grabbing everything
that isn’t nailed down and
putting it in the ever-growing pile!
We pack up and Sunday we are ALL driving to San Francisco after Dw finishes preaching.
*sigh*
And lastly, if you have nothing else to do…{haha} here’s the link to the wild fire
whose flames we can see burning from our upstairs windows.

  1. Oh, Linny! I read faithfully but don't post much at all. I have been praying for Karl and Autumn and will now add these other issues. Your life seems so busy and crazy!! But it is also absolutely amazing how God worked this out through Christie!!
Praise God!! I will be praying.

I have 4 kids from Korea, 1 with serious dev. disabilities, and I can hardly keep up with the 4 of them and all their activities and apppointments, etc.!! I don't know how you do it with a much larger family and more on the way!! It must be God–for both of us busy moms!! 😉 He equips us for the families He sends us!! Whether 4 kids or many more!!

  2. Linny- I have been reading your blog for so long- and I have never commented. We have a good friend who was diagnosed with a tumor, and just had it removed by a doctor in San Francisco- and I am wondering if it is the same person. His tumor was one that only two doctors would even touch as well- and he is done with the surgery. My email is markmillerfamily@sbcglobal.net if you want to chat further. 🙂 It is an amazing story. I saw this and my heart just leaped. 🙂

  4. Sarah (Pace) Altizer is one of my best friends and your beautiful daughter shot my wedding last year, that's how I came to know about your blog. I just want you to know that reading your stories really touch me, even out here in the east coast and you and your family are an inspiration to others…makes me want to be a better person and I just wanted to say thanks. We will continue to pray for Karl and your beautiful family. With love, Lisa Dowell

  7. Dear Linny,

I feel so blessed to be such a small part of this miracle God is performing. Praising the Lord that I stepped out of my comfort zone to make contact with you. Praising the Lord that you took the chance on a stranger helping you. My prayers continue for your family.

    (((Hugs)))

  8. I have been praying that you would get an answer for your sweet Jubilee. So thankful you found a great doctor. Will continue to pray for a successful outcome.

  9. Praising God for Christie and the lack of communication from the other surgeon! Praying to God NOW for Jubilee and all! Haven't commented on each post — university started this week and every minute feels like a race — but STILL praying for Karl, Autumn, Jubilee, Ruby, Sarah, and all!

  10. May I ask is it a NF tumor? Those run in our family. My 2 older sons have it with tumors, I have it my sister has a 25lb pound tumor on her neck and sholder.

Praying for the right doors, surgeons, nurses doctors to be in your path and that they all be Godly people.

  11. Linny,
I am continuing to pray for Karl and Autumn and have been praying for sweet Jubilee. Our God will continue to work it all out. You and your family's love and devotion to our God is what gets Satan mad and makes him strike. But we know who is stronger!

  12. Thank You, Linny for updating us on Jubilee every since the first post I have been praying. I am so grateful for God's provision in our times of need.

I am so amazed at how God works in the intricate details of our lives.

I will continue to pray for your sweet jubilee, the yard sale to be blessed, God's hedge around your home and family, and Karl.

My heart has ached for Autumn through this all.I am so thankful to hear of Karls progress.

I am all to familiar with TBI as my Dad was hit by a drunk driver and the last 23 years of his life were drastically altered. He is now at peace in the lord Jesus.

Your days ahead look extremely overwhelming and full. I pray God will give you the strength and wisdom for each day and continue to direct your steps.

I apologize for silence over the past days but my family has been praying for your family.

    In Jesus,
    Lori

  13. God truly does work miracles. He loves His children so much. Only God could orchestrate Jubilee having a surgeon in San Fransisco so that Mimi could see her grandson. Only God above could plan it out like that. Only God would allow someone who only knows you thru your blog to recommend a surgeon right next to your daughter, son-in-love and beautiful Finley. Karl is being completely healed by the loving hands of our Savior. God has great and mighty plans for Karl. His testimony will be great.

  14. Wonderful news. Gods timing once again! You'll be in my neck of the woods, we live only 45 mins or so from San Fran. Anything I can do for you while you are there? I fly out Friday the 2nd to pick up one (Lord willing both) of our babies from Ethiopia. But before that I will be around!

    Becky

  19. Praying for you, Sister and for Jubilee, Autumn, Karl and the rest of your tribe. Sounds like you have your plate full–but isn't it amazing to be so close you can watch God work?

  20. Thank you Jesus for wisdom and discernment in this time with Jubilee. Praying for her surgery and healing, safe travels and peace. Also praying for fires and always Ruby, Sarah and Karl. I have been experiencing a similar situation. I am in a urgent situation and have been calling and leaving voice mails and talking with office staff. It has been 3 weeks and have not had a phone call back or been able to to talk to this person. I am speechless. Know one seems to know anything and tell me she is getting my messages. The last time I talked with her, 3 weeks ago she told me she would be in touch and that we needed to take care of this right away. Again, what in the world. If any one could pray for me I would so appreciate it. Love from L in Florida.

  21. I was just thinking about sweet Jubilee. We were out of town for a couple of days so I'm just catching up. I am praying for you and your family. Also praying for a very successful yard sale. I love yard sales so I would be there helping you if I lived closer!

    Blessings,
    Amy

  22. I have been reading your blog for about a year, my friend Jennifer is a follower of your blog. I happened to stop by this morning and saw your post about Jubilee. 23. Praying,
for Gods Peace to be in you in the midst of all this,
    Gods provision on saturday,
and Gods protection on the road on sunday, and Gods wisdom and equipment for the doctor and all the other people involved, and for His healing hands to tough precious Jubilee Promise,
for love, patience and everything needed for your family during times like these.

love sent your way from accros the ocean; Adriana

  24. Another miracle, having surgery in SF where you will be so close to your daughter. Will you all be staying with her? If you need more room, please contact me through my blog profile. I think I live just a few minutes from your daughter and I'm a licensed daycare facility, so I have tons of space and am set up for a lot of kids.
