Pray Now Please

I talked to Linny earlier and she was going to update the blog after Miss Ruby Grace’s surgery, but there has been no internet available. Her heart is heavy.

The surgeon said, that it’s “complicated” due to her illness and the infectioins. They had to abandon the shunt method as she is continuing to have a fever. They did some procedures to allow some interior drainage of the fluid on the brain, but he stressed they need to get the shunt in. So although there is some relief there is still need for much more. And the shunt must go in. Apparently she has been tested twice for malaria – both negative. But they said the infection could last days, weeks, or months. Please pray that a miracle is given and the fever breaks today!

Linny called me a few minutes ago and said she received a text from the hospital that Ruby’s fever is spiking. They are concerned and are trying with medicine to regulate the fever. Pray that fear would have no place in our hearts.

If you are a prayer warrior, would you go to battle for our little treasure? She is a precious jewel and we do love her so much already. We know that God loves to hear his children cry out to him. Pray for wisdom, a breaking of the fever, and peace.

Linny asked me to please do a post. She confidently said, “I know my bloggy friends will pray.” So pray, touch heaven! (Pray for peace for her and Emma as well as they are a few miles away from the hospital since only the nurse is allowed to be with her in ICU.)

Thanks for your sustaining prayers, dw for D &  LL

  3. I am praying for sweet Ruby!

    Psalms 91:

    14 “Because he[b] loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
    15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
    and show him my salvation.”

  4. Dear Heavenly Father,

You are the Father of us all, but You have a special place in your heart for the orphan. Today, I ask for your special grace and peace to cover Linny and her family as they wait for news about their newest treasure. Please, Father, bring down little Ruby's fever. Fight this infection for her and bring her healing. She has come so far already and touched so many lives for you. Please show Your power through her tiny life. Give us all the faith to believe that You can do all things. Give us the patience to wait for it to happen in Your time.

    Amen!

  5. Praying for Ruby Grace! Praying that God will bring peace and comfort to all! Praying for wisdom for the doctors and nurses. Praying for Linny and Emma to have sweet fellowship with Jesus as they wait for news.

  6. Praying and fasting unceasingly!! Here is TODAY'S devotion from Wisdom for Today! Linny will find comfort in this!
"The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, :He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:17

We who are parents know what it is to rejoice over our children. And God feels the same way. He rejoices with joy over those who have become His children through faith in Jesus Christ. Zephan-
iah tells us that God "rejoices over you with gladness."

He then tells us that God "will quiet you with His Love." What a wonderful picture that is! The Bible tells us that God loved us so much that He laid His life down for us.

When we understand our Father's great love for us, our hearts are quieted and we rest in that truth.

Zephaniah then says that God will "rejoice over you with singing." Can you imagine the Lord sing-
ing a love song to you, accompanied by a heavenly orchestra?

Life is uncertain. There is much we do not know. But because of the Word of God, we know the only thing that matters–the Lord loves us. Let the storms rage, let the arrows fly. Come what may, we are loved.

  7. As I type, I'm listening to the words:

"There is no God like Jehovah
There is no God like Jehovah
There is no God like Jehovah!!!"

    I am praying!!!

Sending this prayer request to those who attend Moody Bible Institute… more will gather around God's throne for His precious Ruby.

  8. Praying for healing for Ruby! I visited a church while at the beach this weekend and they sang a song about God being strong and mighty to save. Made me think of Linny and pray for you all.

  9. Jehovah-Rapha – "The Lord That Healeth Thee". Lord bend your ear to our pleas. We ask for you healing hands to be on your child Miss Ruby. Lord clear her tiny system of any infections. Lord allow a way for the shunt to be placed, end these fevers and restore good health. Lord we ask for peace and rest for Miss Ruby, we ask for peace and rest for mama and for Emma. You are the God that heals and restores. Father in your will I pray in faith I stand. Thank you Jesus for your blessings and your works, your love and kindness are so amazing right down to the last detail. Amen

  10. 11:36pm here in NC and I just read the post…I do not sleep well and when I am awake, I pray for people…I will definitely go before the Throne of Grace and petition for Ruby Grace, Linny, the doctors, and all involved. He knew about all of this before the foundations of time, so He is more than able to do above and beyond for your good and His Glory.
    God Bless
    Love from NC,
    Sandy
